West End Paradise Unit Seahorse 3 - two bedroom suite w/water views

Enjoy all that Sanibel Island has to offer at the West End Paradise. Our charming cottage style accommodations offer a serene and tropical setting with mature foliage, pond with birds and turtles and we're just a short walk to the private Tradewinds beach. Unit "Seahorse 3" is our largest floorplan with two bedrooms/two bathrooms, a full kitchen, spacious living room, dining area and screened lanai. The master bedroom suite features a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with the guest bedroom having two twin beds and full bathroom just outside the room. All of our units come with beach towels, access to the charcoal bbq grill, outdoor seating, high speed wireless internet, cable TV and air conditioning for those tropical Island summers.   Only one parking space per unit.

Super clean, remodeled comfortable unit in a nice quiet neighborhood. Access to the beach at the end of the street. Well equipped and got great sleep in the comfy beds. Communications with host were great, no issues. Beach towels and some equipment provided which was very nice.

I highly recommend this property. It was very clean with a beautiful yard on the river. Only recommendation I would make is to have Keurig Coffee Maker. This is what most people have so buying a can of coffee is a waste for most of us.

House is a great size. Like the bed but it was rather high. Had to jump to get in! I’m short. Fun seeing alligators in the canal next to the property. The beach was great! No one there.

While we chose those mattresses for maximum comfort, I completely understand the struggle if it's a bit of a climb! I'll look into adding a small, discreet step stool for the room to make things easier for our future guests who might be on the shorter side. The toilet paper & paper towels were very poor quality. I think you could upgrade a little. TV was fine. AC was fine. The microwave, toaster oven, & coffeepot threw the breaker & we had a hard time resetting it. Had to try a couple of times. You might want to recheck the wiring. There was a lot of debris in the pond/lagoon. A table & chair had been throw in. But the alligators, birds, & snakes did not seem to mind it. Our unit was very quiet - did not hear anything from the neighbors.

It was a fantastic and the unit was modern with fantastic finishes. Very comfortable and cozy with a direct access to o e of the most beautiful peaful beaches in FL. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone especially families. The location on the island is centered so you are not close to anything but also not far to anything either. Fantastic place and the host was very attentive and always communicating with us.

This is a lovely and very clean property; however, there were a few problems with the property manager.The unit is beautiful and very clean. The housekeeper is amazing. (Make sure you leave her a generous gratuity.) The area grounds are kept up nicely, but the unit it is next to a large body of standing water (and if very close to the wildlife preserve), and the no-see-ums are ferocious. The lanai is very nice, but the screens will not keep no-see-ums out - make sure to have a good insect repellent. (Also, during our stay, the screen on the lanai outside door was loose.)There is no washer and dryer in this unit. They are shared with the other units in the same building. Also, the kitchen is nice, but there is no dishwasher. (The current VRBO listing states that there is a washer/dryer and a dishwasher.)The king bed in the master bedroom has a nice thick mattress, but the fitted sheets are too small - they should be deep pocket sheets. The property manager will not provide extra towels or sheets. You have one set of sheets and will be told to wash them if you want clean ones. You will have to wash towels if you want additional ones, and there aren't a lot in the unit. If the unit had a washer and dryer, this would not be a big deal - we had to wait for a while.Also, the address given to us was wrong. It took a little while for us to notice in dark. (Our stay dates are shown incorrectly too.)The beach is very nice and very close.

We are so glad to hear you found the unit beautiful and the grounds well-kept; we will certainly pass along your compliments to our housekeeper. regarding the amenities, we want to clarify for future travelers that our listing does disclose that the laundry room is shared, and we include a photo of the shared facility in our image gallery to ensure transparency. We also do not have 'dishwasher' checked in our amenity list. We appreciate your feedback on the screen door and the fitted sheets; we will have our maintenance team fix the screen and look into deeper pocket sheets for that mattress immediately. Being close to the preserve does bring nature with it, so we appreciate the heads-up to future guests about the no-see-ums. We hope you were still able to enjoy the close proximity to the beach

Better After First Night

When we arrived at the unit there was water in the floor in the guest bathroom. I attributed it to perhaps the shower curtain not being put into the shower. Once we flushed the toilets a couple times we realized it was a plumbing issue and water ended up all over the bathroom floor and into the living area. I had to call the emergency number and luckily they were able to get a plumber out to the unit on a Saturday. Once the issue was fixed, they had the cleaners come back out to get everything cleaned up and provide fresh towels. They also allowed us to use another unit’s bathroom, that was vacant, until the problem was fixed. Overall, Dream Vacation Homes turned what could have been a nightmare weekend around. We love the West End Paradise complex for its location and access/free parking to a private beach. This was our second stay here and even with what happened we would stay there again.
