Great place for a family or friend reunion. Our family stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed that the property had activities for the kids (the game barn is great!) and adults alike. The fire pit is a great place to hang and listen to the river. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The kitchen and multiple grills were perfect for feeding a crowd.

Fun Escape

A small family vacation with three generations under one roof! The host was super-communicative and very accommodating and the house was perfect for seven adults and a todddler. There were SO MANY toys for the 2-year-old as well as a game room full of fun for the adults. Nice, quiet location within a short drive to so many sights. Having the whole house gave everyone their choice of room and sleeping arrangements as well. Highly recommended stay!

Fun house and yard

The house offered a fun stay for everyone, especially the kids! Games barn, fire pit by the river and a nice grilling area served us all well!

Stayed here as a family during my daughter’s wedding weekend. Fantastic home with plenty of space for all of us - 7 in total. Everyone’s favorite spot was having coffee by the river in the morning and watching the big horn sheep across the road. There’s a great hiking trail just a short walk down the road that was delightful as well. Several super cool antiques in the home as well. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and we had a great stay!

This house has lots of character. There were plenty of games for the kids to play with, and even a piano. We had a lovely stay.

Lovely place!!

My family absolutely loves this place! The property is perfectly situated right on the river, which made our stay extra special. We had everything we needed, and everything worked seamlessly—no issues at all. The home is well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared for a comfortable stay. Some of our favorite memories were made around the fire pit—such a cozy and unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back!

Fun family getaway!

We stayed with two families with young kids. We had a fun time fishing and picnicking at Vallie Bridge, playing in Salida, and making s’mores and pizza at the house. The playground set was awesome and entertained the kids for hours. If your kids need a fenced yard to be safe it might not be the right choice, as the river and road are nearby.

The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The property had deck chairs and a lovely fire pit right on the river. A convenience store was right across the street. Barn was full of plenty of games like a roulette table and a pull table. More space and amenities than even listed, there are two bathrooms not just one. Check out procedures mention a dishwasher and there is a door that looks like a dishwasher, but this is not actually a dishwasher. It is another refrigerator. It is lovely space, very clean, night full of stars and a lot of mountain and river views.

Wonderful experience

Ramiro was a kind and generous host. He responded to all my questions and made us feel welcome at his property. It felt like we were staying with a friend. The property is dated but very comfortable and the fire pit by the river is amazing.

Fantastic getaway

We came for Christmas to meet family. The house was wonderful. The property management was very responsive and even set up a Christmas tree and lights for us! We had plenty of room, and the space was great for a large family. The river and the location. Of the home was also amazing. We had a great experience and highly recommend this property!!!! We’ll be back!

Great Place!

Not secluded but appreciated the property location on the river. The gas station across the road was very convenient for last minute things that we forgot. The house was a great set up - everyone had their own room and space. The patio was perfect with two grills and a gorgeous setting. The barn was awesome - the kids played pool, cards, corn hole etc.

Perfect place!

This beautiful older home, sitting as close as you can to the Arkansas River, was our Christmas week stay. At our request, they had the house decorated for Christmas! Everyone loved the game room and the fire pit right next to the river. I contacted our host a couple of times and was quickly helped with my questions. We are already talking about our next visit to this lovely property.

Spring break

We have been all up and down the side of this mountain and river hotels. Camping. This time we took the entire family from little kods and puppies to the oldest kids like me. The outside rec are is incredible pooltables roulette wheels. Even taught the littles about black jack.. firewood stoves and smores on the river back and forth from skiing to trout fishing on the river. This place was just what my family and iwere looking for. We found our second home in this olace for sure.. id recommend to anyone .. we absolutely loved it. Thank you so much. Looking forward to our next trip with you guys!!

The game room was a homerun for the kids. We were a little disappointed that not everything was working, but enjoyed the activities that were. The house was warm and cozy. So many cool antiques. Definitely country living. Verizon does not work, but AT&T did.

Great old house

Old house very charming, didn’t realize we were going to burn a wood stove to stay warm. We are from Alaska and lived that lifestyle for years so no big deal. City folk may not get it. Gameroom looked like it hadn’t been used in forever. Buried in dust and broken Roulettte wheel. That was part of the draw for us. But we managed to have a very good four days in an awesome old house😁
