Ultimate family holiday in Style

The Location - Maggie Mae is less than one kilometre to the picturesque Shoal Bay Beach, the Shoal Bay boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, essentials and the iconic Shoal Bay Country Club. It is also just a ten minute walk to Box Beach or Tomaree Headland with stunning views from the summit. Nelson Bay is only five minutes drive away with d'Albora Marina where you'll find restaurants and shops, as well as family activities such as cruises and ferries to Tea Gardens.

The House - This beautifully presented two level house has an open plan design and ducted air throughout. The lower level has the main living area with Smart TV and dining area leading to a gourmet kitchen with large cooktop, oven, microwave, breville coffee pod machine, double fridge/freezer and plenty of bench space. Also downstairs are two bedrooms, each with a king bed a brand new designer bathroom with double vanity and two shower/s and toilet.

The upper level offers a second living area with a TV and the remaining bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom has a king bed, balcony access and a huge ensuite with shower and bath. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed, the fifth bedroom has a queen bed and the sixth bedroom has bunk beds.

The backyard is ideally set up for both adults and children with an outdoor kitchen (Weber BBQ, sink and wine fridge), plenty of seating, a firepit with extra seating. Brand new cinema room perfect for watching a movie, cricket or the football Also a new inground swimming pool with outdoor lounges.

There is an internal laundry with washer and dryer and a double lockup garage plus driveway parking for another car or the boat. There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

Important Notes:
- Linen is provided at this property and beds will be made ready for your arrival. (except for bunk beds where linen will be supplied but bunk beds will not made)
- Please note $1000 bond is required on all bookings

Hard to leave

This place had it all. It had several bedrooms allowing enough space for all of us, we used every bed. Ping pong table and pool to provide endless entertainment. There is a soundbar with the outdoor TV that we connected with Bluetooth to act as out sound system, which worked flawlessly for the entire downstairs/outdoor area. The adjustable awning allowed the smoke of the bbq to easily escape, while the rest of the patio still had shade. The sliding doors allowed us to completely open up the house to create a real indoor outdoor living space that was able to either completely bring the group together or create different nooks and crannies for people to hang out. The location is a short 5-10 minute walk to Box Beach or 10-15 minute walk to Shoal Bay and the SBCC. The hosts are a formal company based in Nelson Bay and were extremely helpful in resolving a minor issue we had while we were there. I hope I get the opportunity to rent this place again sometime again in the future.Only small drawbacks to take note of: there aren't dressers or closets in all the bedrooms, and there is only one toilet downstairs/outside

The house is huge with lots of facilities. Linens were plentiful and house is well stocked with all the necessities. Access to garage is a huge plus.

great house for families

Great house - stayed for family wedding. Modern and comfortable. Very disappointed though when we rang 2 months prior to booking that we couldn't change the dates....not cancel but change. Other houses still had 100% refund on cancellation.

Shoal Bay weekend

Beautiful home, quiet street setting in residential street, close to Shoal Bay town centre. The home was well equipped in all areas including the playground and table tennis table in the garage and several adult bikes. Kitchen was a dream with all appliances necessary for our large family, only shortfall was cutlery for 10 but all other items in abundance. Plenty of seating inside and out for large numbers, great sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Even an outdoor shower and fire pit. BBQ was a little on the small size considering the area allocated for catering outside. So we used the inside large stove top to assist. We had the best time.

The perfect house for a large group

We absolutely loved the property. It is luxurious. So clean and the house is decorated beautifully. The location is great. So much room for a group. Beautiful entertaining area. Only disappointment was trying to get in contact with property manager. Phone just constantly rings out everytime I tried to make contact. If you leave a msg they do get back to you usually within 24hrs but frustrating you can't get through when you need to.

Beautiful house for a big group

Gorgeous big house. Fabulous big kitchen and dining table. Great outdoor entertaining area. Very Clean. Comfortable beds. Modern design. 10 min walk to the Country Club/shops/beach. The only things that could be improved upon is a detailed instructions book. We couldn’t work out how to turn on the aircon downstairs or turn off the garden lighting which shone up and in through one of the upstairs bedrooms. The water pressure could be increased too. But we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Great family holiday house!

This house has everything you need for entertaining in large groups or families. Plenty of privacy and space to spread out but also lots of great entertaining spaces perfect for large groups and families. The contained backyard with playground and ping pong table was amazing for kids of all ages. Fire pit was great. Everything about this house was perfect for a weekend away or longer stay!

Cute family getaway

The location of our accomodation was convenient, it allowed us to visit various beaches that was just a short drive away. There was heaps of activities that we were also able to do e.g. quad biking at Williamtown, tobaggan hill park, swimming at the beach and visiting various lookouts. The best part of our holiday would definitely be our accomodation, it was very family friendly, fully equipped and was a lovely modern home away from home.
