Nice layout. Great access to the slopes. two good sized hills on the road leading to the house - make sure you have 4WD in the winter. Nice barrel of gravel at the driveway saved us as we started to slip. And the daily plowing of the driveway.
Our truck parked in the turnaround on the driveway.
The crew headed out the walkway to the slopes.
On the slopes. Just a few steps from the walkway to Salamander.

This house was perfect for a Thanksgiving for our family of four adults. Plenty of fun for the college aged kids (hiking, video games, tv, puzzles) and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Love this house, we felt very much "at home".

Great house and location

Slopeside location was fantastic for 3-night trip to Timberline. Skiing was solid, crowds manageable (even on holiday weekend) and hot tub and gas fire provided primo apres ski entertainment. House was clean and well appointed. Would definitey stay again!

Daisy's Den Family Reunion

Property very kid friendly and location provided easy access to Dolly Sods for the more dedicated hikers as well as easy access to Canaan Valley Resort for shorter hikes and occasional meals. Kitchen well equipped and laundry kept everyone in clean clothes over the 2 weeks.

Great location for hiking up Salamander and across to Dolly Sods and overlooks of Valley. Artoberfest was fun and right down the hill! Lovely home with everything you need.

Ski in Ski out with ease

This home is the perfect ski in/ski out location. We loved playing the arcade games during down time, and the kitchen was perfect for preparing family meals before heading out for a run.

Daisy’s Den

Loved Daisy’s Den and its slope side conveniences !! House comfortably fits 2 couples and 4 kids. We loved the ski and boot room that kept our gear warm and dry for the next outing and we used the hot tub which was clean and ready to use! The house was exactly as described and we felt right at home.

We were worried with snow, but our 21 Tahoe Z71 4x4 with off road tires had no trouble. House was perfect for our boys who loved snowboarding and skiing. The bunk beds were a little uncomfortable for our older teens but they still loved the trip. Would definitely stay again. Kitchen was well equiped for Christmas cooking. Hot tub was wonderful.

Great space for two families to enjoy and easy ski in ski out to a green run. The warm temp control room for the skis and gear was a nice touch for next day dry wears! Hot tub stayed Uber hot even during freezing temps

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at Daisy's Den. The game room was great for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was great. The deck furniture wasn't comfortable and could be improved. Game room would be better on lower level.

Fun and relaxing

We stayed a week and family came for the weekend. Everyone loved the cabin. It's clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. The arcade games were fun and the internet worked well. Went hiking all around the area and discovered that we could hike up the slope from Daisy's Den to a trail leading into Dolly Sods Wilderness!

Perfect Slopeside vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and was perfect for our 2nd ski vacation. We loved that it was right on Salamander trail and easy to access. Only complaint is that wished the team would have done a better job shoveling snow off the backporch as there was about 3 inches of packed ice/snow that we have to carefully walk on to get on the trails/to hot tub, was also unable to use the grill since it was iced over/snow covered.

We do try our best to keep up on shoveling, but with the natural snow plus man-made snowfall accumulating it can be tough.

Accessing Timberline Mountain simply by skiing off the back deck was lovely. Don't ignore the recommendation for 4WD/AWD with snow tires or chains in the winter. We almost didn't make it up the hill with our AWD with regular tires in the snow, despite the road being plowed.
