Southern Anchor Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, enjoyed the cottage very much. Unfortunately, the primary bathroom barn door into the bathroom got stuck closed. While attempting to open it, the barn door fell off into the wall. Very dangerous and scary for our 1 1/2 grandson, as he was trapped inside. Would only recommend this property if the barn door was fixed.

Southern Anchor

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was very nice. Great location and perfect for 2-4 people. Although kitchen could have been more organized and bedding seemed old. There were no wine glasses, mixing bowls etc. I would stay here again, but bring my own kitchen supplies and bedding.

Great Time in Cinnamon Shores

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for four nights. The house was perfect for a family of four. We enjoyed easy access to the beach with our cart, as well as, fishing right outside the property in the lake. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish (reds, catfish, bass) and is catch / release. We enjoyed the pools at South (two kid friendly pools) and really enjoyed being able to get lunch at the grill next to the pool. The property was clean and well maintained. Only suggestions would be for an ice machine (not a huge deal since they had ice trays available) and outdoor hooks to hang up wet towels. Would definitely stay again!

Southern Anchor June 2026

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Southern Anchor was adorable. Location could not have been better. Loved the decor! Sadly we did come into a leak in the ceiling. The maintenance team could not have been nicer but could not figure the issue while we were onsite but I am sure they will do now that we departed. We did have some issues on storm day as it made the internet go out and we had to reset the system with different connections upstairs and downstairs. Also I'd include directions on how to use the ventless dryer. The tank was full and we didnt know why it wasnt working until thankfully google. Maybe some tupperware and a pair of scissors for the kitchen but overall, a wonderful place to stay. I'd suggest long clothing and bug spray. We've never seen mosquitos of this size that bite through clothing and we are from Texas. Also lots of ants on the grassy areas so closed shoes if you are taking a walk. The grounds are exceptional otherwise, I wish we could have been outside to enjoy the views at all times. Personally I liked South better for the stay then head to North currently for any activities. We made the right choice! Great for families or a relaxing couples trip.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review of Southern Anchor we're so glad the location and decor made such an impression! We sincerely apologize for the ceiling leak and the internet hiccups during the storm. We're so glad our maintenance team was kind and responsive, and we'll make sure the leak is fully resolved now that we can get in there properly. Your notes on the ventless dryer instructions, Tupperware, and scissors are so helpful it's exactly the kind of feedback that helps us make the experience even better for future guests. We're so happy you loved Cinnamon Shore South and hope to welcome you back again soon.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only issue we had when we arrived was no intranet the first night. I did call the office and they sent someone the last day we were there. It did start working the second day. The other issue we did not like was that you were unable to turn the A/C unit down but it was not a problem just made it a little inconvenient when it got hot. Everything else was great! The property and staff were awesome! Thank you.

We truly appreciate your feedback of Southern Anchor, and are grateful for your understanding regarding the internet and A/C issues during your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of internet access on your first night and for the inconvenience of not being able to adjust the A/C unit beyond a set temperature range. We're glad to hear that the office promptly addressed the internet issue and that it started working the next day. It's fantastic to know that despite these minor setbacks, you still enjoyed your stay and found everything else to be great. We're thrilled that you had a positive experience with both the property and staff. Your kind words about our team mean a lot to us. Thank you for choosing Cinnamon Shore for your stay, and we hope that your next visit will be even more comfortable and hassle-free. Safe travels, and we look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Lakeside Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another great stay at cinnamon shore south, great cottage for a family of 4. House is always clean and had everything we need, only small complaint was not having ice machine like other rentals. The coffee pot kept blowing breaker and had to move it. Looking for a smaller house for just a family of 4 it was perfect.

Great quick retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: took the family for a short weekend. It was a great house. Loved it was right on lake, and was quiet, clean, and perfect size and feel. We only had two minor issues - 1. none of the carpets had pads and were extremely slippery and we had a couple of falls. 2. none of the lights dim and there were no night lights. We contacted management and they advised they'd let maintenance know but no one addressed the issue. Also as a note - everything took place at North. We were okay with this as we had a car and drove to beach each day but if you plan on renting a cart - just know for basically everything including beach set-up you'll have a beach trek

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really nice space backing onto one of the ponds. There was easy access getting to the beach ramp. Only suggestion I would have is having a refrigerator with an ice maker. The small countertop one couldn't keep up with ice for 5 adults. I'd definitely stay here again in spite of that.
