The View, Metung. Cosy, Comfy, Pet friendly & breathtaking views of Bancroft Bay

The View was one of the first holiday homes established in the 1980's and we're keen to pay homage to its history and make the little bit of paradise known as Metung accessible to all.

A 15min stroll along the boardwalk to the Metung Hotel. 5min drive to Hotsprings and Golf course. Charter a boat & fish, or off the boardwalk which is 50 meters away.

The Master bedroom has a beautiful, secluded view of the trees in the morning and afternoon sunshine streaming through onto the king bed.

Bedroom 2 has two single beds setup and shares entrance into bedroom 1 and 2 so it is perfect for younger travellers or a couple that doesn’t mind a split bed.

Bedroom 3 has a view of the adjoining property in the morning and a comfortable queen size bed.

Brand new matteresses with hotel quality linens adorn the bedrooms for a great nights sleep.

Guests of The View can expect to enjoy high speed internet WIFI, which reaches across the property and brand-new split system heating and cooling to keep you comfortable, in bedroom two and three there are quality panel heaters for you to use if extra heating is required to take the chill off. Bedrooms have been upgraded with additional powerpoints by the bed sides to charge your devices with ease.

We recommend lighting woodfire as it provides a lovely element to your stay if you choose to use it. There is nothing quite like sitting in front of the fire with a drink or enjoying a warm cup of coffee in the morning.

The kitchen adjoins a walk-in pantry, with cooking provisions . Toaster, water filter, new microwave, jaffle (Sandwich) press along with a rice cooker for your use, along with a full compliment of cutlery and utensils to please any cook.

On the upper deck which spills out from the living room, there is a bench seat and table for your to enjoy the stunning view of Bancroft bay, whilst cooking your BBQ on the Weber BBQ. The upper deck can also be closed off as you enter from the street and from the lower area and stairs, so it is easy for pets.

The expansive lower deck is provisioned with an outdoor dining set, with firepit and Weber BBQ for you to entertain and enjoy Marina view and watch the boats sail by.

You'll have the whole home to yourself. There is a lower area accessable via the deck and front of the property where your four legged furry friends can stay and also where the fire wood is. There is a bungalow and storeroom which is not accessible.
