Very welcoming stay. Great location, very quiet and peaceful. Was only missing or "hiding" very well some items such as functioning fishing poles and cornhole game. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. My boys were bummed about the jellyfish in the water. They loved being able to paddle boat around the dock area.

Great River stay

This property is immaculately clean, plenty of living space to enjoy, and dock access to the water. The dock is a short walk from the house and water views are blocked by other properties. The screened in porch is large, has fans, and was a place we spent lots of time.

A restful reprieve

Very accommodating, comfy beds (a real +). Kitchen fully loaded with supplies (including spices and condiments). We spent so much time down on the dock crabbing and fishing. Our dogs loved the freedom and space. Made friends with others in the area and did dog walks with them.

This property was advertised as waterfront and it is not.

From the owner:"Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify that the home is located on the waterfront, and guests can access the water with a short walk down the yard. This information is included in the listing details as well as the welcome book at the property. During your stay, the only question I received was about the location of the trash can, which you later confirmed you found. No other concerns or questions were shared with me, so I wasn’t aware there was any confusion about accessing the water at the time. I hope this helps clarify for future guests."

Catching up with old friends

The property was lovely - and absolutely SPOTLESS. The bedrooms were well appointed and it was nice that we could each have our own room. I couldn't give the fifth star for accuracy of online listing because while the property is waterfront, the house is not. The need to walk down to the water is the very last sentence in the listing - we all missed seeing that little item!

We had a pleasant stay overall, but found the property description to be inaccurate in a few key areas. The description and title using the word 'waterfront' is misleading. We were disappointed to discover there is no view of the water or pier from the house itself; it is located on a street, requiring a walk of about 50 yards to reach the pier. This distinction is important for setting the right expectations.Additionally, the pier is not accessible for individuals with mobility issues due to a steep hill leading to the pier, which should be noted in the listing for guest safety and planning. On another note, we were missing a complimentary bottle of wine mentioned in the amenities, and the host stopped communicating when we enquired about it, which was unhelpful.

From the owner: "We’re glad to hear you had a pleasant stay overall. We understand your concerns about the property's description and want to provide some clarification. The listing notes that the pier is a short walk from the home, and the photos are intended to give guests a clear view of the surroundings, including the walk to the pier. While the terrain can feel steep for some, it hasn’t typically been flagged as inaccessible. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your visit."

Autumn getaway

The property is as pictured. Large kitchen, nicely equipped. Lovely decor throughout the house. Loved the screened in porch, spent many hours there. Easy to communicate with owner who was always quick to respond. While it states water view, one must walk down to the dock to view.. But the view is lovely and the owner has provided many seating areas. It is a peaceful, serene setting with every amenity. Without reservation, I recommend this propery.

Wonderful place in Reedville, Va.

Great place to stay! WonderfulVA. operty and amenities. Nice tray of welcome goodies that even included a bottle of wine! We went on a fishing charter at Smith Point Marina which was less than 10 mins. away. The only thing that was 'off' were the bed sizes....there is actually one queen and two full size beds. No biggie though, we would definitely stay there again!
