Pelican Villa- Meredith Lodging

The floor-to-vaulted-ceiling windows in Pelican Villa’s great room present you with Pacific City’s oceanfront on a breath-taking silver platter—you’ll marvel at the panorama from the Nestucca River estuary to Haystack Rock and the sand dunes of Cape Kiwanda. Two decks wrap around the front of the home so you can experience ocean breezes and magnificent sunsets without obstruction. Enjoy the hot tub or cozy up by the gas fireplace in the sitting area by the dining room and enjoy fresh Pacific seafood from the luxurious chef’s kitchen, with its granite countertops, inset lighting, wood-lined ceiling, stainless-steel appliances, and stellar views of the meandering Nestucca River. You’ll find beautiful bedrooms with views on all three floors, including a spacious primary suite on the top level. The kids (and kids at heart) will adore the lower-level game room, with its leather sectional with recliners and TV.

It’s a five-minute drive to the beach, whether you prefer the miles of level sand and natural beauty of Bob Straub State Park to the south, or the excitement of Cape Kiwanda’s bustling surf beach, the Pelican Pub, and the shops and restaurants, including the tony Meridian Restaurant, overlooking the beach. Pacific City is also a great launchpad for explorations of the North or Central Coast; it’s a half hour in either direction to Tillamook and Lincoln City. You’re sure to leave feeling refreshed and energized after gazing out on the unique Pacific City coastline from your perch above it all.

Great hone for the view

Stellar home for the view and for the ambiance of the property. Need to share maintenance issues for the sake of clarity…here goes, not enough of glasses for 9 people, pans were in sad disrepair, one burner of the stove didn’t work, bathrooms all need more hooks for towels, lower bedrooms need to have at least a bedside table, coat rack for entering from the garage would be helpful, the bunk room closet was a disaster, beverage coasters would be helpful to protect the stands. Also I would love to have had a chair in the master bedroom suiteI

Beautiful view

Lovely spacious home. The AC wasn’t working the first night and there were no fans and limited windows to open so it was a very hot first night. After communication the first night and next morning with Meredith Lodging, they sent some people who got the AC working and brought some fans. With comfortable airflow, it was a very nice place and great views.

Great View!

Come for the view! Neighborhood about 5 minutes from the action by car. Good place to just chill and enjoy the views of the Oregon coast. Deer, eagles and all kinds of wildlife to enjoy. A few broken or non-working items in the house but nothing that wrecks your stay.

Very nice house and place. My family had a great time in this house with a beautiful view right from the house and an affordable price. Maybe we'll come again in the future.

Family getaway

Our family had a great time. There was plenty of room for all of us. The hot top and views were amazing! The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great: the hot tub looks like its missing a padlock(didnt see it but looks like it needs one) and had limited functionality( no jets) Otherwise great spot, wonderful view.

Home was nice but there were alot of issues like the deck chairs had some rusty sharp broken legs, screen for main sliding door was torn,railing on deck was broken, master closet lights didnt work,master shower head broken, master toilet seat looked like it had been burnt,stove top main large burner didnt work,arcade game out of order,hot tub cover torn and the list goes on. Beautiful place with a great view but it definitely needs some fixing to make it a better place one can be proud about staying at.

Perfect stay

My family had a blast relaxing, there was so much room for the kiddos to enjoy. The beach was a short distance away. The view was spectacular, so high that the birds appeared at the same level. The team was very responsive prior and during our trip. We had such a great time! Thank you, we are looking forward to our next trip.

50th birthday weekend

This house is amazing! The view! The hot tub! The house was very clean and was as pictured in the listing. We had a nice relaxing time. It was a perfect place to celebrate my birthday. I would definitely stay here again! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Gorgeous view and good location

The view from the deck and main living level are amazing (even on cloudy/foggy days). Furnishings were comfortable and new. Kitchen was well stocked, although we didn't use it much. Main level bedrooms, kitchen, and bath are accessible without stairs, but other levels require fairly steep stairs, if that's an issue. Short drive to beach, local restaurants/stores (small town), and hiking, plus only 30 minutes to Lincoln City or Tillamook areas. Great place for a coast vacation if you want to be a bit away from the crowds.

Was a little disappointed

We booked this place because it was big enough for our group but mainly because it also had a hot tub. Turns out the hot tub was not working. And it was clear it hadnt been for a while. It was cold and dirty. The Maintenance didn’t offer to come even look at the hot tub which leads me to believe they knew it was already broken. That was a huge let down.. well we knew this place was farther from the beach but compromised with the hot tub. They had a problem with cleaning and didn’t offer us a check in until 7. That was super inconvenient coming from out of town but they did offer us a 100 credit to eat out. For 10 of us, realistically only covered one family’s meal. All in all, the house was spacious which was nice but I probably wouldn’t book it again

BUYER BEWARE!I booked this place to stay with some friends for my wife's 30th birthday. Our experience at the "Stellar Home" was a masterclass in poorly run property management companies destroying the Oregon hospitality industry. The problems were extensive, so if you stay here, I have recommendations:1) Bring your cookware. The main induction unit on the stove is broken, so you won't be able to use it. There are very few pots and pans. Of those that do exist, they are in sad shape–they stick to everything. Also, you'd never guess that this place is booked by big groups, because their largest pot size could hardly fit a single jar of spaghetti sauce. 2) Prepare to bring your own toiletries–toilet paper included! You read that right. We had to go out and buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, dishsoap, laundry detergent, etc. because this place is not stocked at all. 3) Bring gloves. The place was filthy. There were barkchips in one of the beds, and the sheets smelled sour. Yuk.4) Don't bother contacting them. I reached out to the company multiple times about needing supplies, problems with the hot tub, etc., and each time I was assured that someone was on their way to help. Nobody ever arrived. 5) Bring an eyemask to sleep. Much like the pots and pans, the blinds look like they were picked up at a junk yard. That being said, if you pack like you're going camping, you'll have an amazing time. The view was spectacular, and it is technically a house.

Tormented by the drunk neighbor.

This would and should have been an amazing time, instead we had the drunk neighbor harassing our guest and point his security camera at the rental and letting us know he was watching us. He was drunk and crazy!! Also the house was about $750 more than advertised!!! This was the worst experience we had. The rental company was rude and inconsiderate. There is so so much more!!!

Beautiful home

This house was great. A few improvements: I would recommend instructions for the hot tub. It was not heating because it was on "eco" mode so a maintenance guy had to come out to fix this which we could have easily done if we had instructions. The remote for the Fire TVs in the basement had dead batteries. It apparently operates both downstairs TVs so were not able to operate either TV our first night. Maintenance came out quickly and replaced the batteries (having spare batteries in the house would have also saved him a trip!) We were told ahead of time that the fireplace and video game would not be operational. We were not told that the downstairs bathroom was not available. With 5 women staying in the house, 2 staying downstairs, the extra bathroom would have been preferable. The garbage disposal also was not functioning. Regardless, the home itself was well maintained. The views are amazing. There was a group of deer that frequented the neighbors yard. Would stay again.
