This place was perfect for four travellers. An efficient use of space in a great location close to multiple subway lines and local shopping and restaurants. Our host Min was great. She was in contact with us the entire stay, ensuring we had everything we needed.A great spot for your next visit to Tokyo
We are a family of 4 (3 adults 1 teen) and we stayed here for 9 days. I did a lot of research where to stay and I’m so happy we booked this place over hotels. This place is your typical home in Tokyo - the bathrooms are small but very comfortable and clean. We were out most days so really, we don’t need much. We wanted 2 bedrooms so our grown teens would have their own room & bathroom. This more efficient than booking 2 rooms at a local hotel. Having access to decent fridge - kitchen and microwave was another reason why we decided not to book a hotel. Keep in mind, there are narrow stairs - (2nd floor has bedroom with 2 beds and pull out), 3rd floor bedroom is the master). So just keep that in mind if you have large suite case. We managed to bring our carryons to the bedrooms - the medium suitcase remain downstairs. This was our souvenir bag anyway so it worked out perfectly. This place is close to the train station (since we are adults no young kids - our walk from the train station to this place is under 5 mins). There are eatery and shops along the way so it’s nice to get a glimpse as we walked past it. We did try at least 5 of them during our stay! All were great! Also this place is sandwich between a pudding store and a fresh fish store. We tried the puddings and all flavors were yummy!! We are so happy we stayed here! Min is wonderful! You will not regret staying here.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review!
It truly means a lot to me that you took the time to share such detailed feedback about your stay. I’m very happy to hear that the house worked well for your family and that having separate bedrooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen made your trip more comfortable.
I’m also delighted that you enjoyed exploring the neighborhood, trying the local restaurants, and tasting the puddings next door! Those little local experiences are part of what makes this area so special.
Thank you again for being such thoughtful guests and for taking such good care of the house. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and I would be very happy to welcome you back anytime you visit Tokyo again.
Wishing you and your family safe travels and wonderful memories from Japan!
Warm regards,
Min
My 25 year old daughter and I stayed for nine days and really enjoyed the
whole experience. The house was clean and well set up. The location was amazing with access to lots of restaurants, supermarkets and
Ikeburo Station just minutes away. Min was a great host and responded quickly to all our questions. Highly recommend.

overall a great cozy place to stay in ikebukuro, tokyo. the host was great and was great with any concerns and communications. the place itself was very nice and pleasant. the narrow staircase is the only real main issue, getting up and down, especially with luggage but that's the only real negative issue i had. the place was nice and clean. having two toilets and two showers is great for a group of people staying there. showers is a little tight but got the job done. this is definitely a great spot for a family of 4/5 and a great neighborhood to explore with plenty of food options and markets nearby.
No issues. My family was very happy for the week we stayed. Very clean and well equipped. Note the place is very small but so is most hotels in Japan. Lacks closet space so you have to live out of your suitcase. There is a very steep round staircase, which someone senior will have issues with. Other than that, fantastic place. It is a little bit of walk from the station I say about 10 mins but doable. We enjoyed our stay! I would recommend staying here.

Cozy spot in a fantastic location!
This place is located right next to a cute pudding shop and a fresh fish store right off the main road. It's near a train and several konbini while being tucked away so you can sleep peacefully. Min was very quick to answer any questions we had and made our check in process easy as pie.The only issue we encountered was a spot of mold in the second floor bedroom that leaked water onto the bed (it rained during our stay) and gave us all some stuffy noses for a dew days after.
We had 5 adults and we stayed comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked. The house was less then 5 minutes walking to a wonderful grocery store, 8 minutes to the train, and so many things to see walking around the neighborhood. It is quiet and no other tourist. Our morning walks around the neighborhood were wonderful. If we come back to Tokyo, I would stay again.

A good option, if it was in a better condition
GOOD: The house is easy to locate as it's just off a main road and it's also an easy walk to the Ikebukuro train station.
POOR: My family did not have a good experience at this house as there were areas in it that were moldy, which may have triggered my family member's allergies. Examples are around the kitchen faucet, behind the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, behind the wallpaper around a window and behind the wallpaper in the closet (you can see dark colored areas behind the wallpaper).
Great location. Great communication and Quick response from owner. The place has everything you need. Close to supermarkets, shopping centres, train stations all within walking distance. Comfortable enough for 4-5 people but be mindful of three flights of very narrow stairs to the rooms with luggage. Most properties in Japan are very small but somehow everything just fits. First floor has kitchen/lounge/ toilet. Second floor has a bedroom with two single beds, sofa bed and shower (toilet on the first floor). Third floor has a double bed and shower +toilet. We found the beds are quite firm. Pillows could probably do with an upgrade. It was raining for couple of days/nights and the rain did somehow came thru the window sills a bit on the second floor bedroom so I hope the owner will look into this. All in all we had a wonderful time and would recommend this place.
