The location was excellent and super close to the Hiroo station. Many restaurants and grocery places within walking as well. The only reason was 4/5 was the kitchen needs more real plates (there were only 3 plastic kid plates, but no adult ones) and something to bake upon (cookie sheet) for the oven. One note as well… if you have difficulty with stairs, they are very steep.

Thank you very much for staying at the Meiji house. We are surprised to hear that there are no plates inside the kitchen closets. You sure you looked relatively thoroughly to find them . 12 years managing the house, and it’s the first time we hear this . Also m yo7 could contacted us as we are very easy to reach and we would hav3 tended to the matter momentarily, as we reside close by. We have a guest staying now, and we will ask them if they encounter the same issue . Regards.

Perfect location to the station, numerous restaurants and shops, and a park. We loved the neighborhood. Very clean home. The beds are comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out process. Our host was very responsive to any questions. We traveled with our 3 adult sons. Absolutely recommend this home. We are already looking forward to visiting again.

The location is outstanding and very convenient. Overall, the house is very comfortable and well-equipped. Azabu was a gracious and friendly host. We maxed out the number of occupants which made the house feel cramped, however. I would recommend avoiding having anyone sleep in the living room, and the attic bedroom is most suitable for children or teens rather than adults. Be cautious with very small children and older adults as the stairs are very steep and narrow.

Thank you for staying at our beautiful unit in Hiroo paul. You booked for 6 guests to stay , the house is advertised for maximum 7 guests , but 8 guests showed up! We only provide beddings for the the expected reserved guests and didn’t prepare for bedding in th living room, so yes the house can feel cramped for the number of people . Next time, please accurately communicate with your host about the size of your group, if we knew 8 would be coming we would have NOT accepted the booking as it puts undue stress on the house with larger number people .

Wonderful house, great location.

Group of 5 adults enjoyed this well located small house in Hiro-o. Quick walk to subway station and many restaurants nearby. Host was wonderful and met us late for a check in. He explained everything well and was extremely polite. Would happily stay again.

Great neighborhood easy base to see Tokyo

Really great spot to see Tokyo. Really close walk to the Hiro-o train station. Convenient to many nice restaurants and markets.

Great stay at Hiroo neighborhood

We had a great time at this property. Check in process was smooth with the host. He was also quick to respond when I had questions and was very helpful. Property is very close to multiple restaurants, bakery, coffee shops and 7 Eleven. Only a few minutes away from Hiroo station which made it easy to get to different districts and neighborhoods.

Tokyo Fun, From Missing Our Son!

We were visiting Tokyo for the first time to see our son who is stationed in the Air Force there. City is very overwhelming, but we had an amazing time!!! Mt. Fuji was definitely the highlight of our trip:) VRBO was very nice, I'd say central, but I truly don't believe anything is central in that city, lol.

Wonderful Stay

Property location was perfect to use as our hub to explore Tokyo. The list the host provided of points of interest and restaurants in the area was a great addition to our already pinned map spots. The house was clean and all the amenities were spot on. We did have to contact our host as the pullout futon was not working properly, but he came promptly and made a repair so we had no further issues through our stay.Check in and out were easily done. Would absolutely book again!

Wonderful location

House was clean and comfortable for our group of 4 adults and two young children. Communication with our host was great. Air conditioning worked well in the hot weather. Loved the location. Truly amazing bakeries in the area.

Cute, convenient place

Great owner, great location. Cute house with all the amenities we needed. Note the bedroom on the top floor is not full height, so that may not work for tall or claustrophobic people. The location and Hiroo subway station are a fantastic, safe, quiet place to use as your “home base” in Tokyo. Our host was very helpful and communicative! Thank you!

Perfect location and host was wonderful!

My children and I were in Japan visiting my son who is studying in Japan for the semester. Being so close to the Hiroo train station was so convenient! Beautiful Japanese garden nearby to walk around. Great restaurants in the area! Our host met us to help us get into the property and gave us some great recommendations as well! He was very accommodating! My family and I highly recommend this awesome property!

The location and communication was excellent

Communication was great from pretrip to during the stay. The house is close to anything you need, including the train station. So glad we didn’t have to pull around our luggage too far from the train. The house was clean and it was nice to have 2 toilets for 7 of us. The beds and pillows were more comfortable than the hotel we had just been in. We were given wonderful recommendations for food, which we tried! I would love to go back again someday. Thank you

Tokyo stay

The home was perfect for our group of 7. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants and the neighborhood was quiet yet offered plenty to do. The host met us upon check in and walked us to the home for initial check in. Public transportation was also close and easy to use.

Great house and location.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient. The house is located in a quiet side street close to a subway station and lots of shopping and food. This was a major advantage as we were traveling with our octogenarian parents. On days we wanted to relax, the living room and kitchen provided ample space to do just that. The property owner and manager were responsive, professional, and helpful with even the smallest questions. We would highly recommend staying here.

Great location. Plenty of room. Family of 5 with grown teenager17, 19 and 22 year old. Easy to access subway, shops just around the corner. Host meet us to go over house amenities and was a great communicator.

Great location and comfortable stay

The house is located very conveniently to Hiroo station and the shopping street with lots of restaurant and other shopping options nearby. It is easy to get around Tokyo from this central area. The stairs are steep but were fine for us. Our family of five fitted well with two in each bedroom, and one in the attic (low roof), although couch space was contested. Heating was effective and all was great. Thank you.

Convenient and comfortable home in Tokyo

We stayed here in June 2025, a family of 4. 2 Adults and 2 teenage boys. There was plenty of room for us. The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies and a coffee maker. The bedrooms each had 2 twin beds. There was a heat wave going on but the AC's helped keep us nice and cool at night. This rental was in a really nice area of Tokyo called Hiro'o. The metro was a 2 minute walk away so super convenient. It is very close to great areas like Shibuya. The silver line takes you to many other great stops in Tokyo such as Ueno, Ginza, and Rappongi. We had a great stay. The host met us at check in because the house is tucked away in a little neighborhood off of a main street. It was quiet for sleeping too.
