Mountain getaway with all the amenities

Had a great weekend with friends! Lovely, well-equipped house with a great balcony, in a cute new community being built in the Sunshine Valley. Great views of the surrounding mountains, some simple trails for walking the dog nearby, and comfortable, spacious living quarters. Comfy beds, big kitchen, lots of space to sit and chill!

Friends getaway

Great place and so close to the Lower Mainland. There are a few quirks and some of the things need a bit of an upgrade (kitchen faucet), but overall it served its purpose of a girls getaway.

Sunshine Valley Stay

The stay was lovely in a beautiful spot. We very much enjoyed our time and the home was impressive with a great kitchen space. The only thing missing was blinds or curtains in the bedroom.

Cute cozy cabin!

This cabin was perfect for my family and friends to stay in together. The view of the mountains was amazing and we could see the kids playing in the snow from the dining room table. The cabin was very well put together. Thank you Jeff for the lovely stay!

The place is so clean and beautiful. Anything you need is there offcourse except the food . Very quiet , very relaxing area , complete with board games, kids accessories and even dog tray food. We like this place and we definitely recommending to our friends.

Ladies Get Away

We had a relaxing stay with comfy beds and cozy rooms. Great for escaping to the outdoors or sitting inside and chatting over a puzzle. We travelled by car to Skagit provincial park and did a beautiful hike - Serpents Back trail. For some reflection we visited the Tashme museum. Lightning Lakes proved to be the way to end our stay. A 20 minute drive to a winter wonderland.

Great place

Great place to stay. Everything as expected in the house. Just check that you know some of the amenities listed are not at the house, but at a community center. They are all there, just can be deceptive if you think they are at the house (hot tub, pool, games room)

Nice place

Overall it was pretty good. Will need some extra amenities such as enough towels and bedding for all guests. Would be better if there were some window screens as it was warm in the afternoons as well as curtains.

Hi Gladys - Thank you for your comments. My wife and I have been using a professional (and reliable) cleaning service that, among other things, reviews the number of guests we are told are arriving and ensures that that number of full-size towels, as well as some medium and smaller face towels, are available for the number of guests expected as we are conscious about the environment and try to reduce our footprint where we can. As for bedding, there are five beds, each with a minimum of two pillows, a full set of sheets, and blankets for each. We have additional blankets and pillows as a backup for unexpected guests, more than enough for a maximum group of 10 people, as per our house rules. As for screens, we do have them and install them during the summer season, when bugs are a problem. Blinds are installed in the bedrooms and the living room blinds are being installed this summer. Home away from Home

Jeff’s property had all the amenities of home and was in a beautiful location for all outdoor activities that we wanted to do. It was a short drive to Manning park for skiing and showshoeing (members of our party did both) and in the other direction to Hope for some beautiful hiking opportunities (which we also took advantage of) We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend if you enjoy outdoor activities in this up and coming area. Host was very responsive with questions about the property both on check in and check out. Thank you for a lovely weekend away

Cozy comfortable place

We were apprehensive about our first home stay experience with three kids and a furry baby. We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities and coziness of the place. It’s just like a home away from home , you need not bother about anything at all!! Too bad we couldn’t explore rhe valley coz of snow but we will be back in summer! Thanks Jeff!

Very comfortable stay

I didn't realize the pool and games room were not part of the house until the day before our trip! The photos in the gallery are highlighting the amenities in the area but they are, in fact, not part of the house. The house itself was very well furnished and equipped. We had all the kitchen and baby appliances we needed (so many blankets!). The gated community is safe, clean and friendly. The host was incredibly quick with responses and super helpful. I would definitely come back and stay at this dog and baby friendly home :) Thank you!

New Neighbourhood as advertised

We book this place for 8 people to Manning Park. Place is about 15 mins from Hope and 35 mins to Manning Park. It's a gated new development so there's new houses going up around the home. The home itself is new and spacious. The kitchen is stocked and no one has to sleep on the floor. We wish the fire pit was setup for outdoor seating at night. Overwall, it was great stay!

Great accommodations for staff

I booked this property for staff, their feedback included: -We enjoyed our stay and using the large kitchen which was nicely equipped with kitchen supplies. -It felt safe to stay at this cottage and I would recommend it to another crew/family. -The beds were very comfortable. -The location was really nice. They shared a few recommendations including: -Adding blinds to the upstairs bedroom for privacy. -Adding screens to the windows to allow for the house to cool down without bugs coming in. -Having more info on where to throw out garbage other then the garage to limit the smell.

Family time

House roomy. Well equiped kitchen. For us more glasses, a draining rack or ttowels would be helpful. Advertised as 5 bedroom, should be called 5 beds as one in loft and other in living room. No blinds in loft or living room. Stairs need repair. Jeff responded quickly to all questions.

Perfect getaway for summer and winter

I was very impressed on my stay in this home-like house last winter. All amenities are provided as advertised 👍 I returned with another group of friends and EVs this summer. Very convenient to go to town to get more foods if needed or drive to Manning Park Resort area for our kayaking and hiking fun! (We did skiing and snowshoeing last winter.) Lots of room to store both summer and winter sports equipments in the garage. We had a great time and stay. Very impressed that the host considered the reviews from others and put the window screens up for the summer. One thing I need to point out is there are two broken steps on the staircase from garage to the main floor upon our arrival. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Check before you go

The house itself was lovely. Clean, organized, tastefully decorated… perfect for 8 people… advertised for 10. While there were beds/pullouts for 10 to sleep, there was bedding for 8 (couldn't find any for pullout couch… luckily we had sleeping bags), and dining table only sits 8 (only 8 chairs, and not large enough for more). 2 can sit at kitchen island, but it would have been nicer to all sit together. Construction was going on right next door from 8am every day of our 5 day stay. Advertised with access to pool, hot tub, & games room in rec centre: these were disappointing. Pool is closed in winter (outside), hot tub was not usable for us (tepid, jets not working, min age restriction, max number of users), games room posts on the door that it’s only open Fri/Sat/Sun and was too cold to stay for any length of time. No problems with access, wifi, or appliances. Had plenty of towels, and kitchen had most cooking/serving/eating tools we needed (even dog dishes!).

Hi Carmen - Thank you for your comments, these really help my wife and I as well as the team in trying to be better and ultimately, providing the very best experience for our guests. Bedding for the pullout is located in the pullup chaise, but having read your comment, we will definitely put that info in the greeting package. Good comment about the chairs, we are going to pick up a couple more. We have been told by the community center that operates the pool/games room that there was an electrical issue and that its being fixed as I type this. Lastly, the construction is coming to an end thankfully, our lovely neighbors are expected to move in soon. We are so sorry your stay wasn't 100%. My wife and I have been married for 4 years and we have a daughter who is 18 months old. We built this place so we could create lots of memories for her and are absolutely thrilled that we can create memories for you and your family.

This property offers stunning views of the mountains and has its own set of trails right outside the door, great for anything you want to do. It's in close proximity to Manning Park which offers amazing outdoor recreation year around. Being located in the Sunshine Valley means no ferries, a reliable highway to get there, and you feel like you are far away, in a remote place, but you're close to any amenities you might want.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

My wife and I have a larger family, grandparents, inlaws, and lots of kids, so we designed a home for everyone to stay in, but with private areas so everyone has their own space. The loft is great for parents with kids, there is ample room for sleeping bags. The two bedrooms are larger and have access to each bathroom, and the family room below has a couch that turns into a double bed and a second TV, and is a great space for the kids to hang out in while the adults can relax upstairs.
