HIGHLANDER UNIT 5 - an ideal location approximately 150m to the sand on Kings Beach

With an uninterrupted view of the full length of popular Kings Beach and across the sea to Bribie Island, Highlander is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment that will comfortably accommodate a family of 4.

This third floor unit has good ventilation and a well designed kitchen including microwave and dishwasher. There are overhead fans for summer comfort in the living room and the main bedroom with a pedestal fan for bedroom 2. Other features include HD TV, DVD and stereo in the living area. There is a Queen bed and 2 single beds.

This complex also offers a sunny inground pool and lock up garaging, and is in an ideal location approximately 150m to the sand on Kings Beach with the Surf Club directly opposite and corner shops & restaurants just metres away. You will return again and again!

Please note that this property does not have air conditioning however there are ceiling fans are supplied.

Linen
Bookings newly created after the 26th of September 2025 will now supply linen, however guests will still need to make the beds. If booked prior to the 26th of September 2025 guests will need to supply their own linen or hire for an additional fee. You will need to bring your sheets and pillow cases, towels, hand-towels, bath mats, face washers and tea towels. Alternately if you would like to hire the linen, we can arrange this for you for an additional fee

Key Collection: Please note that after-hours key collection is now handled via a lock box located at the arcade side access to our office. If you are arriving outside of office hours or on a Sunday, you will receive a lock box code on the day of your arrival. For Sunday arrivals, the code will be sent on Saturday.

Perfect position with great views. Well equipped kitchen. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location

The perfect spot for us lovers of Kings Beach. The unit was lacking in some basics and not very clean. Although it has good bones, it's certainly due for an update.

Loved: *Amazing location with stunning view, convenience store very close, awesome café next door and plenty of other dining options walking distance, directly across from the ocean pool *Well equipped kitchen (except for below mentioned items) *Secure parking *Plenty of wardrobe space with coat hangers supplied *Both indoor and outdoor clotheslines *Washing machine and dryer *Lovely, friendly neighbours in building *Offered early check-inNot so great (same as other recent guests experienced):*Given wrong keys to apartment *No Wi-Fi even though included in listing on Stayz *Unclean – bathroom and toilet not cleaned properly, walls were grotty, floors not vacuumed, sand on bedspread *No basic cleaning products provided for toilet or bathroom *Dripping shower head which isn’t water-saving, contrary to sticker on mirror asking guests to save water *No insect screens (except second bedroom) which lets in mosquitoes, moths and flies *Hot water ran out during one shower even though it was first time hot water used that day *Remotes for fans didn’t work (maybe batteries need replacing?) *Kitchen - drain in sink had odour each morning; frying pan barely had any coating left on it and was completely warped; dish rack had little coating left so was rusted; no baking trays for oven, only in the griller.Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I probably wouldn’t stay in this apartment again or recommend unless it has had a deep clean and some of the amenities were improved.

Disappointing Highlander

Unfortunately the cleanliness of the apartment let it down. It was a good size with plenty of room for four people. Didn’t use the washing machine or dryer because of how grubby they looked. The whole place needs updating because stained toilet seat and bath are not very welcoming. The location couldn’t have been better. The views were absolutely gorgeous. So good to sit and watch the sea doing its thing. With regard to booking I wanted to pay the whole amount but had to pay in instalments didn’t like that as I wanted to pay for everything before I left the UK. Get the place cleaned from top to bottom get a new toilet seat and perhaps change the bath and it would be a great place to stay. Thankfully it didn’t spoil our holiday.

The location and view from this property was spectacular. Very close to the beach, surf club and playgrounds and great to have your own secure parking space. However, we were really disappointed with how filthy the unit was, to the point where we went to buy cleaning products to clean it before we put our stuff anywhere. The shower and bath hadn't been cleaned at all and had mould in the grout and grub in the bath tub rim where the screen meets the bath. The toilet had a paper cover that said 'cleaned and sanitized for your protection', but when we opened it up, it hadn't been cleaned at all and there was dust and grime under the seat cover. There was no washing up liquid or chux to wash the dishes, so we had to buy this too. Then there was the bedrooms - the two single beds had what looked like pee stains all over both mattresses. One mattress protector was also gross, but thankfully there was a new one in the cupboard, so we put this on as a barrier. The single beds were not uncomfy, but the queen was a little lumpy. There was some doona covers and pillows but we were glad to have our own. The couch and furniture was old and not in great shape, but that sort of thing can be overlooked, had the place been clean and tidy. Likewise, the building is older, but the outside nicely maintained. window sills, doors and bathroom were all poorly maintained, we put chairs in front of the entry door because the lock didn't feel very secure. Needs some urgent maintenance.
