Welcome to Serenity Hill, a private home on the island of Great Exuma, Bahamas

Just Released As A Rental Property. New furnishings arrived the week of December 2023 (including living room, dining table, outdoor furniture/dining, and new decor throughout). Serenity Hill is a 1500 square foot, 2 bed/2 bath home, situated in a quiet area on a hill with an ocean view and gentle breezes, and a backyard man-made beach oasis surrounded by lush vegetation and flowering gardens. Our bright, open-concept home is a turn-key property including everything you need to have a great Island getaway. Each bedroom has it's own full ensuite bathroom, and walk-in closets. The Great Room has a fully-equipped kitchen and large dining table, an extra-long island with 6 stools, a living room area with plenty of couch space, including a queen sofa bed. We have a large (40 x 10) covered back deck, with plenty of comfortable seating, as well as an outdoor dining table for 8, and a new Napoleon BBQ Grill (propane). Serenity Hill is equipped with free high-speed wifi and HD TV. Two desks, hi-speed fibre internet, and a wireless printer also makes our home the ideal property for any remote work while on vacation. Our home is situated on a good, paved road, just a 5 minute drive from the town of Georgetown, 7-15 min. dive from many fantastic beaches and restaurants, & 20 minutes to the airport. Absolutely amazing!

Owners were awesome and thorough but the best thing about this house for me but that they had it stocked with everything you can imagine and that was SO helpful. Things we couldn't possibly try and put in a suitcase. And they graciously shared their items with us. Absolutely amazing stay. I couldn't ask for more. The house was gorgeous and so spacious as well.

Serenity Hill is a wonderful vacation home. It is comfortable and well-appointed. The property owners are very attentive and focused on making the trip a memorable and pleasant trip for their guests. I highly recommend Serenity Hill as a home base for exploring beautiful Exuma!

Absolute paradise

My husband and I were so lucky to find this home! Great location. Perfect accommodations and amazing stay. Communication from Scott and Tara was superb, they do a Zoom call with you before you go so you can meet each other which we really liked. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. We had everything we could have wanted and more! Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Vacation Home in a Great Location

Serenity Hill is an ideal vacation home! It has two very large bedrooms, a spacious open concept kitchen and living room and a beautiful deck with views down to the water. Tara and Scott were great hosts and they ensured the home was very well equipped for any conceivable need. We will definitely book this vacation home again! We had the best vacation possible and the location was only 7 minutes to Georgetown and 7-10 minutes from several amazing beaches. We had a great week and would highly recommend Serenity Hill.

Serenity in Paradise

Scott and Tara's place, Serenity Hill, was just that...serene! Great layout and nicely furnished, it worked perfectly for our family of 5. It was our family's first trip to the Bahamas and Scott and Tara were EXCEPTIONALLY helpful with recommendations, travel tips, communication, and local connections. If we make it back to Great Exuma, Serenity Hill will certainly be on our list of places to stay. You have to be prepared to have a car and drive because it's a bit out of town, but it's worth it...and kinda fun for the adventurous driver. Can't recommended highly enough!!

Serenity Hill... we'll be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity Hill. The hosts, Tara and Scott were very responsive, answered the many pre-trip questions and they were available during our trip for additional tips and suggestions. Their home is in a great location, close to town, a variety of restaurants and many amazing beaches. Serenity Hill has been beautifully furnished and decorated and it is very well appointed with many little extras. We enjoyed our week at Serenity Hill in Great Exuma and we will definitely be booking again!

Perfect Family Vacation

We spent 8 days at this beautiful home. Everything was perfect and as described. Hosts were responsive & provided a ton of info. about the house & island. The house was spacious, bright & beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed & more. Perfect location close to town and beaches. The backyard beach was such a cute addition and we used it every morning to have our coffee. The deck is great for outdoor dining & drinks. Perfect stay and will return!

One of Exuma's Best Vrbo's

I am so pleased - indeed thrilled to say that our first Vrbo experience was at Scott & Tara's beautiful home. Called " Serenity Hills" it lives up to its name, a beautiful, modern, well-equipted, peaceful home just south of George Town. It has easy access, both north and south, to the most incredible white, sugar sand beaches, with the bluest water we have ever seen. Fabulously comfortable beds. We would thoroughly recommend. Amazing Hosts and Home

We had an amazing stay! Scott and Tara were wonderful hosts! We enjoyed meeting with them prior to our trip. They had lots of recommendations and advice and were quick to respond to any questions we had (both in advance of our trip and while we were visiting). The property was amazing! Very clean, had everything we could have wanted or needed, and most importantly, the beds were extremely comfortable! The information they provided about the home and the island was very thorough and helpful. They have put a lot of thought and intentionality into the property, which is very evident. I could not recommend it more! Thank you for hosting us!

Serenity Hill is a lovely home that has been set up with the guest in mind! Everything we could possibly need in terms of beach gear, games, towels or even small necessities had been considered. This is important because island life on Exuma is not always easy! Limited supplies or different opening hours sometimes make things hard to get. We loved the location which is closer to great beaches in Little Exuma, but not too far away from the necessities of Georgetown. We also loved the comfortable beds, great decor and spacious living area and covered deck.

Fabulous Home in Paradise

We traveled to Great Exuma in April 2024 and absolutely loved the Island and the home that we rented. Serenity Hill is aptly named as it is on a small hill with views of the beautiful Caribbean. Planning for our trip was much easier thanks to the detailed welcome guide that our hosts provided in advance. It really helped us to maximize our experience. The house is very well appointed and has a warm island feel. It has two large bedrooms and great room that is very open with a vaulted ceiling. We really enjoyed the covered porch for coffee and breakfast each morning as we planned our adventures for the day. Our hosts anticipated our needs in every way. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and everything is virtually new. We were provided with beach chairs, snorkeling gear, towels, all necessary to really enjoy the fantastic beaches on the Island. It seemed to us that we had the Island to ourselves as we were regularly the only visitors on some of the beautiful beaches we wandered each day. We have travelled extensively and this was up there with one of our best vacations for the pure beauty of the water that surrounds this wonderful place. We highly recommend Serenity Hill! Thanks to our hosts for allowing us the opportunity to spend time in their home.

The BIG WARM HUG...

Serenity Hill is the perfect name for this property! Upon arrival in Exuma for our vacation, as usual, the island welcomed us but when we got to the villa & opened the door the home itself was like a big warm hug! The decor, furnishings, the entire setting is so welcoming & calming, quiet & the elevated location was amazing, we opened the windows & doors & let the amazing breeze flow through the home, we did not need air conditioning for all but maybe two days during our stay. Scott & Tara are amazing and thoughtful hosts, the home is stocked with everything you will need. We have been renting homes for years and this home, by far, has been the most completely thoughtful down to the last detail, kitchen, bathrooms, beach equipment, floats, beach chairs, it was so nice to have those extra things. We always pack ours, but to have some extras just in case, is beyond thoughtful. The house is also labeled very well, each light switch so there is no guessing which controls what, how to work the the remotes for the TV, all the little things. The kitchen is beyond well-stocked, Scott & Tara have thought of everything. The kitchen also did NOT disappoint, they have a great spice drawer too! I would be remiss by not mentioning the beds, beyond comfy. The bedrooms are spacious, tons of storage! This home is truly amazing, it's beautiful & a wonderful place to relax, destress & enjoy paradise!

Tara and I live just north of Toronto, Canada. We first visited Exuma in 2018 and immediately fell in love with this fabulous island. After our second visit in 2022, we decided that we would like to make the island our home-away-from-home, especially during the winter months here in Canada. We purchased Serenity Hill in December of 2022 with the plan to spend Jan-Mar in Exuma, and rent the property for the majority of the calendar year.

We determined that Serenity Hill in the Bahamas Sound 14 area was an ideal location. Just a 5 minute drive from the town of Georgetown, 7-15 min drive from many fantastic beaches & 20 minutes to the airport. A very quiet area, set up on a hill, we enjoy the ocean view and gentle breeze as we sit on our covered deck. And we are very fortunate to have a have a wonderful neighbour.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

As we walked up on the wrap around porch, the view blew us away. You can see the Bahama Sound and sail boats on the open ocean. When we walked inside, we were impressed with the spaciousness of the home, including high ceilings, multiple large windows, and all the amenities that were were used to in our Canadian home. Tropical gardens surround two sides of the home - the breeze through the palms sounds amazing.
