Fast communication with host. House was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Definitely would recommend to another guest looking for a place to stay in Galveston.

A getaway from home

Nice place to relax and be where the action is on the island in between the stran and the beach wall not from all activities.

Location was great . House is very nice.House was big enough for our family of 10.Issue we had is we did spot some roaches here and there . Not a lot . Maybe like 4 and it was here and there. We were not seeing them constantly.We tried to look for a mop and broom to sweep up dirt but we could not find any so we brought our own.A lot of light bulbs need changing especially the one above the downstairs shower. I could barely see where my soap stuff was.The water hose was locked up so we couldn’t wash our feet or stuff outside from getting back from the beach which brought sand in the house and since there was no broom well. The main thing we were disappointed was there was no oven . Just a stove top and microwave. The small toaster oven took way too long to cook food. We had plan to make meals using the oven but there was not one there.Also could have used more linens and an extra blankets. We had people sleeping on the sofa bed and there was just a sheet .I suggest leaving a fan for the upstairs big bedroom. The ac unit cooled really good at night but when the sun came up the room got hot because of the big windows. We brought a fan for us to use. The house has window units through out the house . No central air I guess because it’s old but we liked the old feel of the house. One more thing we did see the bunk beds had a crack in one of them . I sent pictures to the owner.Overall house worked well for us. Just really needed that oven.
