Wonderful Place!

Overall, great cottage and location. The multi-layered property offers a great variety of things to do for all ages. A wonderful waterfront and endless water views add to the experience even more. Renee is a terrific host, responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended!

Peaceful & Scenic Oasis

First vacation with hubby in over 2 years and this was perfect…close to great food, great little hidden gems like Port Dover and Turkey Point and Turkey Point Provincial Park for bike riding. House is equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay! We will be back! And…the sound of the lake waves lulling you to sleep is just off the charts!

Very nice house, right at the beach, very quiet area. House is very well maintained, clean and airy. Beds comfortable, lots of dishes, pots and pans, coffee machine. Close to Port Dover and Turkey Point and other attractions in area. Best part was the owner - she was incredibly helpful and a joy to deal with!

Great home by Lake Erie

Lovely home in a quiet neighbourhood, with picture windows in living room and lower bedroom looking over the lake. It was wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the lapping of waves below. This place has many stairways to the house and balconies; a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen was well equipped, too. Owner Renee responded in minutes to questions. A great home base for birders, with Turkey Point, Long Point and other hot spots within a half hour's drive. One complaint, and that's due to the platform: I do wish Vrbo would not price these places in American dollars without notification.

Fantastic Waterfront getaway on Lake Erie

Our stay at Hillside Shores Beachfront Cottage was absolutely wonderful. We stayed here in April for the 2024 Eclipse and had a wonderful wonderful time. The cottage is 100% just as described and the views of lake Erie are spectacular. Lake Erie was very calm for us most of the time and if the water had been warmer, we would have been on the water every single day. Gorgeous beaches are not too far away as is a outdoor adventure facility with zip lining, axe throwing and other activities. The waterfront on the property met all our needs and has a small fire pit and lots of seating for watching the lake. Inside, the cottage comes equipped with a lot of board games and a smart TV for evening wind down fun and entertainment. The Wifi connection is particularly strong and more than good enough for all of your internet needs. The Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. BBQ, Dishwasher, Microwave, Fridge were all in working order. Getting to the lake from the property may not be suitable for those with mobility restrictions. Getting to the property itself is fine and all the amenities are on the main floor however the steps down to the waterfront are numerous and slightly steeper than the average stairs in most homes. It won't be a problem for most but would be renters who might have some more serious mobility issues should be aware. We loved our stay here and plan to return in the summer when the water is warmer for more summer and water activities.

Que dire.... c'etais mieux que sur les photos!!!! Tout était propre, pensé pour des familles avec des jeux, des chaises ext. De toute taille, etc. Les chiens sont les bienvenues ce qui est tres apprécié tout est a disposition, dans la cuisine, il manque rien, meme des gateries pour nos chiens On peu faire son lavage, tout est fourni pour ne rien trainer a part son epicerie.La plage privé est vraiment plus grande que sur les photos, nos enfants se sont baigner a chaque jour et que dire quand on se couche, on entends le bruit des vagues... c'etais un coup de coeur pour nous. L'emplacement aussi est parfait a 5 min. De la plage, 15 min de l'epicerie et 20 min de Long point qui est une autre plage provincial, nous sommes aussi a 5 min de tres bon restaurant et crème glacé.Nous recommandons ce petit bijou! Merci au hôte qui font tout pour qu'on se sente bien, c'est réussi
