Tucked away in a private country setting, Cardinal Landing is a true four-season retreat—perfect for couples or families looking to relax, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most. Whether you’re soaking in the colours of fall, snowshoeing through winter trails, or enjoying the warmth of a summer evening campfire, this peaceful getaway invites you to slow down and savour the moment.

Wake up to birdsong, spend your days exploring, end your nights stargazing under clear skies, curled up beside a cozy campfire, and enjoying the barrel sauna and cold plunge.

Inside, you’ll find modern comforts and thoughtful touches, including Wi-Fi, onsite parking, and luxury essentials like plush towels, soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent, and fresh linens. The newly renovated cottage features an open-concept layout, new appliances, stylish furniture, and cozy sleeping for six. The master bedroom offers a queen bed and a private deck nestled in the cedars, along with a quiet, well-lit workspace. The second bedroom includes a full-size bunk bed and its own smart TV.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to feel at home—dishes, bowls, cutlery, utensils, cookware, and more—making it easy to enjoy home-cooked meals during your stay.

We had a wonderful stay! Very comfortable, big, clean kitchen, comfy bed.Very dog friendly, even providing paw towels for paw wipes, nice touches.We really enjoyed the sauna and relaxing by the fire pit, and the wine :)We’ll be back.

Pristine clean , great facilities, private and great for your feline friends. We would highly recommend it for families and couples, if you need to be near to shops it's not for you, off the beaten track and a great place to unwind.

The cottage was extremely well equipped and super clean. We found the kitchen well stocked with all the basics, bathroom with lots of towels, and everything we needed. The backyard is beautiful, snuggled in a quiet area, while Southampton is only a 10 min drive away.

Great quiet getaway to recharge. Great fire pit at the back of the proper where it’s so quiet. The sauna was ok but I only used it once. The inside of the cottage is well maintained.Walked a few trails with my dog (snowmobile use as well) couple times a days. Would have to have stayed longer.

Great home away from home

We enjoyed being able to stay comfortably and have some private space each day to relax and unwind. Property was in good condition and we were able to let our pup enjoy as well

Warm hug of hospitality

Our family enjoyed a wonderful cottage holiday at Cardinal Landing!!! The hosts made us feel like family with so many personal touches. We didn’t take our dogs, but dogs are most welcome. Bowls and toys provided!!! This is a gem

Perfect spot for a quiet getaway

This cottage is in a great location, away from busy streets, but still a very short drive to Southampton and Port Elgin. The cottage is kept very clean and has new appliances and furniture. Additionally, the host is very kind and responded to any questions and concerns promptly. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Golf event stay

the house was perfect for our golf event stay nearby. the house was clean and comfortable and modernized. Owners are working on the exterior amenities to make it even better. highly recommend if you want a quiet and comfortable place near the sunset shore of Lake Huron.

Excellent Stay and experience

The place was so clean and the host was so easy to reach. She answered all our questions and supported us before and throughout our stay. The place is very well equipped with everything a family needs to have a great stay. A 10 minute drive from sauble beach, games in the backyard, grill and a nice seating outside. Would definitely love to go again.

Modern cottage in a quiet tree-lined property

If not for the location, you’d think you were in a modern condo or luxe hotel in the city. Renovated cottage with all the amenities and appliances you’ll need. Very good wifi and TVs in all rooms. Board games and badminton and corn hole for the kids or the kids at heart. The owners are pet lovers and left treats and water bowls for our dogs. Thanks Christine. We spent the labour day weekend and had an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Amazing!

All aspects of this property were nice and clean. It's fully equipped with everything that a traveler needs. The owners respond quickly to our messages. They thought about everything. They really make our experience as smooth as can be. They made our stay enjoyable by putting special care on details. We appreciated that the location of the property was nearby Sauble Beach (only about 10 minutes drive). The landscape and the setting of the property make it a lovely peaceful place. We strongly recommend it.

Cardinal Landing is truly an extension of that—it’s the house Warren grew up in, now lovingly renovated to create a cozy, peaceful retreat for others to enjoy. Hosting gives us the chance to share a place that means so much to us, and we hope it becomes a special part of your story too.
