The perfect home and location for Fun in the Sun at Harrington

With the Riverside Walk at the back door, fishing is two steps away or you can walk, ride or scoot to pubs, golf, or the main shopping centre. Don’t like walking, then call a courtesy bus to take you to one of the pubs for a meal. Perhaps you like to travel by water, then launch your kayak or paddle board and discover the beautiful Manning River.

The house is set up with a family holiday in mind. There are indoor and outdoor kitchens, three sitting areas and upper and lower decks. If you need to bring work with you, a separate study and WiFi make this easy. The house has reverse cycle air conditioners and ceiling fans. You also have access to a washing machine and a double lock up garage.

There is so much to see and do in Harrington and surrounds. Walk or swim at Harrington or Crowdy Beaches, perhaps spotting whales or dolphins along the way, go fishing, play golf, visit Cattai Wetlands for bird spotting, go surfing or drive on Crowdy Beach with a permit from the local fishing shop. Come back and have a shower in the garden before heading back inside.

Perhaps you are looking for a quieter time; then imagine gazing at the vivid stars or watching the beautiful sunset over the Manning River while sipping a cocktail on the balcony of this home. See you soon for some Fun in the Sun @Harrington.

The sunrise view from the master bedroom was absolutely breathtaking, and watching the sunset over the river while enjoying a glass of wine in the bath was simply magical. I loved the walking trail that starts from the backyard — it was peaceful and scenic. I only regret not bringing my fishing rod! Within a 10-minute walk, there were restaurants, a liquor shop, an IGA, and a convenient playground for the kids. Several beautiful beaches were also just a short 10-minute drive away, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only tiny regret was not bringing a fishing rod – the river was ideal for it! The place was great overall, but the kitchen and bathroom could’ve been cleaner and It would’ve been perfect if it weren’t for the fishy smell in the fridge.

Extremely Disappointing - Misled, Overcharged, NOT pet friendly

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was meant to be a relaxing holiday after driving across the country from WA with our pet and toddler, but it turned out to be the complete opposite.Although the property is advertised as pet-friendly, this was not our experience. Within a day of arriving, we received handwritten complaints from the neighbours simply because our dog was outside. As a result, we had no choice but to keep him confined downstairs for the entire stay, which was incredibly frustrating and stressful.After our departure, things escalated. We were hit with a long list of additional charges — many of which were completely unjustified. We were charged for “pet urine” on a towel and for leaving it on the floor, when in fact it had absorbed water from a plant we had accidentally overwatered while trying to be helpful. We were also charged for deep carpet cleaning upstairs due to “pet stains”, even though our pet NEVER went upstairs — we had a barrier installed, and a handyman who attended the property during our stay could confirm this.Most concerning were the charges for basic cleaning tasks. We were billed extra for the cleaner to vacuum, mop, and wash bed sheets after our stay — standard responsibilities that should be included in any turnover between guests. Ironically, the property was not properly cleaned when we arrived, with rubbish and food found under beds and couches both upstairs and downstairs.We were also charged for damages that were already present on arrival. After strongly arguing the case, fighting the charges and catching them out on multiple inconsistencies, the owners eventually admitted — weeks later — that the damages were indeed pre-existing and removed the charges.Every charge matched the “potential pet fees” listed in their policy, word for word. We’ve since heard this isn’t the first time it’s happened to gu

Reviewer Comments: I have already expressed issues we found perhaps minimal once we left the property.Upon arrival we noticed that toilets did not have the seal and in one bathroom small bin was not emptied. My husband spotted ants near sofa in the lounge and consequently moved the sofa n found lots of dusts and lollies meaning that was not vacuumed properly. The exhaust in the kitchen does not work. On average we were very happy with the property and our stay there and would do it again. Perhaps if the minor things could be looked at, this would make anyone more confident but overall VERY GOOD!

The house was sparkling clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was absolutely great, with easy access to the Manning River, shops nearby and some lovely resturants.The property owners have clearly taken pride in their home and have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking meals, BBQ area was fantasic and the fast arrange of boooks and games was a nice touch. Great location with waterfront views. For the price we paid to stay, would've expected better quality bedding and pillows. Exhaust fan in main bathroom not working and water pressure issues in shower.

The walking paths and river location are superb for leaving the world behind. The beach and boardwalk are close by, offering a range of activities.At the end of the day and after holiday activities, it was wonderful sipping bubbles on the balconies enjoying spectacular sunsets. Looking forward to our return and picking up where we left off.

Reviewer Comments: Quality accomm in quiet location with beaut views,very clean and well appointed with made beds a bonus.However in main bathroom exhaust fan not working?..hand-held shower not working and dump shower had very low flow plus upstairs SONY TV REMOTE had no volume adjust. Smart TV not netflix compatible new apps needed.lots of steps for 80 year olds so had to be very careful.
