Beautiful home in the San Juan’s

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for our family vacation. It held 11 of us very comfortably. Kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms were very nice. The only issue was the beds in the upper room were very firm. But the other three bedrooms had very nice mattresses. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy with Complications

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was fantastic, the cabin itself was wonderful. Our family had a great time with the exception of one night of our four night stay. On the thrid night, the fire alarms went off for no apparent reason between the hours of 1am and 6am. No one got any sleep and the next day was pretty much shot as we were staying with two small children who were wiped. We reached out to the rental company who said they would look into it, but no one came out. Somehow, the alarms stopped around sunrise and didn't go off again the rest of the trip. But WOW, that was a rough way to end a fantastic trip to the San Juans.

Fabulous Family Vacation!

Our family of 10 recently stayed in this beautiful home as we visited the area for a week. Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the clear and always-immediate communication with the home's owner to Creekside's many amenities. We enjoyed all that the house had to offer and had to drag ourselves away after a too-short stay. Can't say enough great things about this serene and lovely home and would return again in a heartbeat.

First, the property management did an excellent job responding to the issues. The house is as spacious and pictures are accurate. The sauna is nice. Hot tub didn’t heat up, rooms didn’t cool down, and the driveway was so icy we ran into the bank (no damage & we were going slow enough to shovel out easily). Saw in the book later that they suggest parking cars at the top, but walking down would’ve been a serious hazard. We had to shovel our own snow on the patio to get to the BBQ grill as well as the lid of the hot tub (before we knew it wouldn’t work). If this place wasn’t so spendy, this would’ve gotten 4 stars.

Thank you for your detailed review and for sharing both the positives and areas for improvement. We’re glad to hear that you found the house spacious, accurate to the photos, and that the sauna was enjoyable. It’s also great to know our property management team was responsive to your concerns. We sincerely apologize for the issues with the hot tub, cooling in the rooms, and the icy driveway. Your feedback about snow removal and parking suggestions is very helpful, and we have looked at ways to make these aspects clearer and safer for future guests. We truly appreciate your honest comments and hope that despite these challenges, you were still able to enjoy your stay and the beautiful property.

Peace of the mountains

This place was just spectacular! It was more house then we needed, but this would be great for multiple families to enjoy as well. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck over looking the creek and the mountainous backdrop and it was so quiet except for wildlife and a mountain breeze. At night the hot tub was great and with all the lights off at the house, the stars lit up the sky. It is close to Durango, Silverton and everywhere in between. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much Keith.

Great Summer Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was as positive as one could expect. The home was as represented and met our needs very well. The only slight drawback is the terrain of the property. We had our 4 small grandchildren with us and the steep driveway and surrounding area was a little much for them to ride their bikes etc. In spite of that we had a great time in the area. Wonderful home to spend our annual family vacation.

Great location and beautiful property

The house was great and had all the items we needed while we were there. It was a short drive to the ski slopes. The beds were comfy. We cooked most of the time while we were there and we liked how they had all the cooking utensils we needed and that they had condiments like salt and pepper to use for our meals. We enjoyed lighting the wood burning fireplace and hanging out after skiing. The only thing we didn't like was the hot tub was a little dirty and had debris floating around. The owner was very easy to communicate with and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful location and house with great amenities!

The house is only minutes away from Purgatory ski slopes, and the views are stunningly beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. We loved using the sauna, the hot tub, firepit, fireplaces and pool table. The kitchen was well-appointed and had some of the basics in the pantry (S&P, EVOO, spices, etc...). The large dining table worked well and allowed us to eat all together (6 adults and 5 teens/kids). All 3 of our cars were AWD or 4WD, but when the snow/ice got bad, only the car with chains could make it in/out of the driveway. The road to the house is VERY slow going in the snow, so even though Purgatory is super close, it can take 15 minutes to get down the road. Overall - Great house for a large group!
