Windsor Lookout - an apartment that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

Offering guests a fantastic base from which to explore the beaches and attractions of St Ives, the wonderfully positioned Windsor Lookout is a spacious, two-bedroom maisonette with spectacular sea views over the bay; perfect for family holidays or as a romantic getaway for couples.

Open plan living, a range of excellent features and ocean panoramas from the living room's bay window, combine to create a property that guests can feel truly at home in. There’s a fully equipped modern kitchen with a range of appliances and cookware for those delicious home cooked meals to be whipped up in, and two large and luxurious upstairs bedrooms, both of which have en-suite bathrooms. Downstairs the tastefully furnished living space with double sofa bed is the ideal place for relaxing in after days spent exploring the coast, and the light and airy atmosphere along with gorgeous views create an away-from-it-all ambience.

Set in a quiet location above the town but within walking distance of Porthmeor Beach and St Ives town and harbour, this holiday home couldn’t be better placed for a magical seaside holiday on Cornwall’s iconic north coast. Carbis Bay and Hayle lie just a short drive away as do Porthkidney Beach, The Towans and Gwithian.

We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

Windsor Lookout was an ideal base for our trip to St Ives. The location is just a few minutes from the town centre, the harbour, and the beaches.We really enjoyed our stay.

Autumn break

We chose Windsor Lookout primarily for its location and dedicated parking spot. Like many rental properties in St Ives, the accommodation is in an uphill position; we found it very easy walking to and from the harbour from this location. The view from the lounge bay window out over the bay is spectacular. The apartment is on two levels and is spacious, bright, exceptionally well equipped and very clean. The WiFi works well. We came to Cornwall for a walking trip and we were able to use several good coastal routes from St Ives, and were within easy driving distances of routes at The Lizard and Land’s End. We can most certainly thoroughly recommend Windsor Lookout as a very comfortable base from which to explore St Ives and the surrounding area.

Overall was good, a bigger bed would have been more comfortable, not a double.Bath was a bit scummy, child’s hand prints on mirror in hallway.Key box outside was stuck could not get out key and put back when leaving.Did not affect our stay We had everything we needed.

Lovely location but in need to some TLC

We recently stayed at Windsor lookout for a week, the location is 10/10 with amazing views. I would say the apartment was ok but in my opinion it is in need of some TLC - constantly dripping kitchen tap, broken window in bathroom which would not open, numerous bed slats missing, kitchen kick boards missing, rusty radiators in bathroom to list a few. The kettle is in desperate need of replacement, it was orange inside so unfortunately I decided not to use it and ventured out for all my hot drinks! The microwave was also starting to rust on the inside of the door. The apartment wasn’t the cleanest on arrival, there was visible thick dust under all the beds, most of the skirting boards and the stair case. There were also hairs visible on the towels provided, luckily I had packed our own. The rear entrance to the property was out of use, had this been available it would have made life (especially with children) a lot easier! Overall, we had a great time in St Ives and enjoyed our holiday but unfortunately we would probably not return to Windsor lookout on our next visit.

A peaceful stay, with a great view

My eight-night stay at Windsor Lookout was all I hoped it would be. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, within easy reach of the town and its many attractions. The five-minute walk into town takes you down through narrow streets of picturesque cottages; alternatively––again a five-minute walk––there's a slightly steeper descent with amazing views over Porthmeor beach and the open sea. Through the apartment's window, facing east, you see the harbour side of town and right over the bay to Godrevy lighthouse. The apartment is perfectly quiet with a good range of facilities; specially mentioned would be the immaculate bathrooms. Parking is easy in the reserved area––in a town where parking can be a real nightmare. I would not hesitate to book this accommodation in future.

Wills Rock Stay

We arrived in the dark, and we had trouble opening the box for the key, but that was probably our fault as we had jet lag. The place was perfect. The location was excellent. My friends and I would just suggest adding to their booklet instructions on using some appliances as we, from two different countries, had some trouble. The others in the building were so very sweet if we had questions.
