Townhouse in the Old Village, Vilamoura with direct access to the pool

Situated in the famous Old Village resort (https://www.oldvillagealgarve.com/) with its beautifully manicured gardens, this townhouse occupies a prime site in the complex. French windows open onto a terrace which leads down a few steps to the main pool. The house has been recently renovated and has three air conditioned twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en suite, and a downstairs toilet. The open plan living area benefits from satellite television and wifi access. There is also a roof terrace with magnificent views over Vilamoura and Pinhal golf course to the sea. The Old Village is perfectly situated for access to the Vilamoura marina and golf courses, is a few minutes drive from the magnificent blue flag beaches and 15 minutes walk from the marina. There is a shuttle bus service for airport transfers, golf transfers and to the marina and nearby attractions. The resort contains three swimming pools, several restaurants and bars, a bakery and a small supermarket.

Lovely apartment, plenty of space and garden right next to the pool. The host was on hand with any questions and the resort had plenty of restaurants and a handy spa shop.

This property located in the Old Village which is a condominium, is a superb holiday premises and I would highly recommend. A 3 storey town house which a clean fresh Mediterranean feel . A spacious living room and open kitchen plan , with direct access into the garden patio area. The 3 bedrooms on the 1st are ideal for a family and have two bathrooms available. Further stairs to top floor to the roof top seating area . Washing machine , dish washer and halogen cooker all available. Fridge freezer is spacious and a ground floor toilet . The location is about a 20 minute walk into Vilamoura marina which was busy and vibrant , but not ideal for a young family . The quiet evenings of the Old Village , with nouse restrictions from 11pm was great. My wife & I attended with our 3 young children and found the premises fab . Highly recommended and would certainly return . Our thanks to our host Margaret was a great venue . Danny783

This property was perfect for us had everything we needed We seen the only review just before our visit and it had a few negative points can’t see how they could not get on to the terrace as its patio door that open easy enough The garden leads to the pool and it was open during our stay All the beds were very comfortable Have stayed in to old village 6 times now and this has been the best overall The agent for this property where very helpful Have gave five star rating based on price and our requirements will definitely look at availability for our next stay

Location was excellent. The property is a bit tired and could do with new floor tiles throughout, and badly needing painted. We had to clean the cupboard with the washing machine and safe before we used it and remove the mop and bucket to outside the front door as the smell was off putting. Bathrooms were both lovely. Air conditioning was poor. We did have a great time though.

Our golden wedding holiday!

Arrived just as on site shop was closing, would have been good if a small amount of milk had been left at the house so we could have a cup of tea as it was 7.30 pm and the walk to find a shop was too far . Next day we found out the pool and terrace in the townhouse were closed, the lady on reception did open the terrace up for us . The downstairs was freezing at nighttime as only one small heater was available also the beds were uncomfortable and towels were poor quality. We travel a lot and have not stayed where there has been no washing up liquid or at least tea , coffee and milk left. We booked the townhouse because of the proximity to the pool and was not told it would be closed throughout our stay .

I am sorry that you found the downstairs of the house cold at night. Although the Algarve is usually mild at this time of year I understand from our agents that there has been a lot of bad weather recently. It is for this reason that as well as an electric heater there is a log burner in the sitting area which we use in these circumstances and which makes the room very cosy. I am sorry that you found the beds uncomfortable. We have been letting the house for twenty years and have not had an issue with the beds. The towels are supplied by our letting agent so I will raise your complaint with them. I do not understand how the terrace was closed as access from the house is through French windows which lock using the handle mechanism and not with keys. However I am pleased that our agents who are on site for any problems solved that for you. I was not aware that the pool was closed and having enquired have been told that it was for essential repairs. I hope that our agents directed you to the other pool in the complex which was open. Many people book our house because of the easy access to the pool so I understand your concern and in recognition I am happy to offer you a discount on a future booking.
