Bluefish Coastal Cottage - 3 seng / 2 bad - tæt på strand, cykler og Hot Tub!

We have lived in Destin and Blue Mountain Beach since the mid nineties. In the eighties and early nineties we visited Kelley's mom here in Blue Mountain while we still lived and worked in Atlanta. In 1994 we left Atlanta and have enjoyed raising our three boys on sand and saltwater. Kelley is an interior decorator with an ever expanding client list. John is a banker who manages his company's operations for most of the Florida panhandle . Our older two boys still live nearby and come by often for coffee and dinner. The oldest is quickly making a name for himself as a talented construction superintendent. His construction knowledge, people skills, eye for design and attention to detail have quickly earned the respect of homeowner's and other industry professionals. In fact, he and Kelley handled the renovation and design for this property. The middle son is an outstanding caterer and chef. Since a young age, he has had a passion and flair for all things culinary. As a personal chef he has catered dinner parties for quiet a few of our more well known residents. He has recently taken a break from his pursuit of a culinary degree so he could live a little. A cross country trip ferrying some friends' car and their Rhodesian Ridgeback was bookended by Kansas City BBQ and Thomas Keller's fried chicken. He will start again soon in the back of house at one of our most famous 30 A icons learning best practices. The youngest attends SoWal High where he enjoy's an exemplary GPA, too much popularity and starts on the varsity team as running back. He does a little surfing, paddle boarding and fishing as well. During the Summer he works on the beach setting chairs and umbrellas. Hard work and early mornings - his Dad likes it. We love the area and are happy to share it with you. We have admired the neighborhood cottages known as "the brickyard" since we first saw them back in the eighties when we were in school at Auburn. The cozy neighborhood is on 30 A and only a block from the beach. We were patient and finally found a good fit with the Bluefish Cottage on one of our neighborhood walks. It needed some love and we had the vision. We also had the labor. The entire family participated in the demolition and renovation. We hope you enjoy it!
