Opdateret og charmerende sommerhus lige på stranden. Spektakulær 180 graders eksponering for Mexicogolfen. Fredelig og afslappende fra solopgang til solnedgang. Trin til den smukke badestrand med udsigt til et livvagttårn ved Manasota Beach Park, men alligevel fjernet fra strandmængden.
Sov og våg til de uafbrudte lyde fra brændingen. Gå eller jog de 16 miles fra sandtasten. Bliv uendelig underholdt af landfugle, pelikaner, delfiner, skildpadder og skildpadder lige ved døren. Gå på skal eller på hajernes tænder, jagt, flyv en drage, fisk eller bare slappe af og blive fascineret af smaragdvandet. Og du vil blive forbløffet over de smukke solnedgange og af det fremragende stargazing-miljø.

We still love, enjoy, and appreciate the cottage after the hurricane restoration. The patio and palm trees were an excellent, tropical-like enhancement. Can't beat the amenities, location, and sunsets!

We love Turtles and Toes old world charm ON THE BEACH with modern family style amenities with everything you need. Owners deserve super kudos for how they restored/repaired this cottage after Oct '24 hurricane and storm surge damage!!

Such a wonderful place! The host are exceptional! We have stayed four times now in this rental. We had our 2025 1500 chevrolet truck and it turned just fine in the driveway with a little back and fill. Found a container full of sharks teeth. Even a few in the yard. You can tell by the property the hard work and time they have put into it. Post a double hurricane. Love the new patio and palm trees!

The beach was right there at your front door. The sunsets were stunning . The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Perfect place to relax. We loved every minute of our stay.

We have been to this property multiple times but this is the first since the hurricane. Things were slightly different but no less amazing! Such a warm cozy feel to this beachfront cottage. We thought the beach was close BEFORE the hurricane!…It is now literally steps from the new patio!! You can’t find a better vantage point for the stunning sunsets than the patio table at this property! The worst part of staying here is having to leave at the end of our trip. Absolutely LOVE this place and we will be back again.

Birthday Trip

Turtles and Toes is a little cottage that was perfect for my lowkey 48th birthday celebration. The location alone being 100 feet or so from the beach deserves the 10/10. It’s a small cottage but perfect for the two of us. We ran into a few issues as my partner has an unusually large Ram 2500 heavy duty truck. It is important to note, the driveway leading to the cottage is fairly narrow and the driveway at the cottage is not made for large cars or trucks. Had we known that, we could have driven my Camry and navigated that area much easier. The parking caused a small hiccup for the neighbor right in front of this property but Donna and Joe helped us work it out the best we could. T-Mobile does not have good service at all in that area and the internet at the cottage was a bit spotty, which caused the TV to not work at times. But we made the best of it with just enjoying each other and spending more time outside on the patio and at the beach. I know most people don’t like to cook while on vacation but we still do. It may be a good idea to get an exhaust fan somewhere by the stovetop as we had to open windows to prevent too much smoke in the house. All in all, I’d visit this cottage again hands down. We hope to return when the Atlanta Braves are there at the training facility as it’s only 15 minutes away. Donna was very responsive to my concerns and did what she could to make it a great trip for us.Lastly, I found LOTS of shark teeth. Until next time Turtles and Toes.

The cottage was perfect! Beautiful place on the beach, quiet and peaceful, wildlife every day! We would definitely love to come back and recommend this for those wanting a quiet retreat in paradise! The hosts were wonderful and everything was just perfect!

Fabulous as always!

Our first stay post-hurricanes. The owners did a nice job repairing, updating and refining the property. The paver patio was very spacious and much more usable than the deck. It was nesting season, and we were able to witness three loggerhead turtles come ashore at night -- magical!The new palm trees offered breathtaking views at sunset. The cottage was fresh and new and wonderful!

AMAZING COTTAGE and even better hosts!

This cottage is the absolute perfect getaway! It has everything you need and then some. Spotlessly clean and updated. Location could not be better, plus our last night there, a giat sea turtle climbed the dune to within 20 feet of the cottage door! Picturesque views and steps from the surf just can’t be beat! Also we just can’t heap enough praise on the owners! The communication is the best we have ever experienced from a VRBO host! If VRBO has a best host award Joe & Donna should win it!

Charming Beachfront Cottage

We have stayed at this cottage before, and it’s always been obvious how much love the owners put into the cottage, and how much effort they put into making your stay an enjoyable one. Knowing how much work they had to do to get it rehabbed after last year’s hurricanes makes you appreciate it even more. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need for your stay. You are right on the beach with a spectacular view of the sunset. Communication with the hosts is a breeze and they are quick to respond to any questions you have.

Swimming with the dolphins

We had a wonderful time at Turtles and Toes. The cottage was very comfortable. The sunsets were amazing and on many days during our stay the Gulf was as smooth as glass. We were delighted to see dolphins, several within 7 feet of the beach. When I was swimming, one day, one swam within 9 feet of me. Shark teeth are in abundance on the beach directly in front of the cottage. The beach was never very busy. We would definitely recommend this location. FYI I highly recommend Farlow’s on the water. Great food, beautiful patio, and great service.

A dream week away!

Absolutely gorgeous! The property is wonderful! Beach is quiet. The house is completely stocked. Owners were easy to communicate with for check in details. We LOVED every second of our stay. We will definitely be back.

Turtles and Toes

My husband and I loved our stay at turtles and toes! We booked this place after reading other guest reviews about how private the beach is. After our own stay we can definitely confirm this! My husband and I were set up on the beach all week and had the whole beach to ourselves. We also found TONS of sharks teeth so if you enjoy shark tooth hunting definitely book turtles and toes! We also saw the dolphins, a manatee in the ocean, and Rowdy the turtle! Overall, the house was perfect for the two of us, was very clean, and had everything we needed for the week! Would definitely recommend turtles and toes!!

We moved permanently to Sarasota County in 2018 from Ohio after spending 5 winters here. This cottage on the beach is simply paradise and it gives us great pleasure to share it with our guests. The check in and check out procedures are contact free for the safety of us all. We'd love to hear a bit of your story too.

Turtles and Toes caught our eye because of its spectacular location. Then we discovered the delightful and comfortable interior of the cottage and it was irresistible. And so with a bit of work we now have a beautiful place to occupy ourselves and to share with others who we hope will appreciate the relaxing ambience and make lasting memories here.

A major benefit of course is being on the beach. At the same time, it is very close to many opportunities for sports, dining, shopping and sightseeing. Guests can take advantage of the many local attractions or, if they choose, remain sequestered at the cottage. Just about every evening you'll be treated to an awesome sunset.
The wildlife on the beach and in the water is endlessly entertaining.
Our welcome book inside the cottage highlights some of the many local places of interest and offers suggestions for restaurants and adventures.
