Rodent in house

There was a rodent located in the walls of the house. We have shared videos of the animal and the noises it was making. This really was not pleasant and quite cross to be in a house with that.

Beautiful beach week

Location was excellent. This property is half mile west of Grayton Beach and in between two state park properties so the beach was not crowded - our visit was in late September. House sits across a residential street from the beach with beach accesses less than 100 yds. There is not public parking for beach access in this subdivision thus less crowding. House is sunny, comfortable, great balcony, somewhat older than other houses in subdivision but no problem. Kitchen, living room, dining room were great. Our group was three adult couples and space was more than ample. Another bedroom was available with two single beds. Beyond that guests would need to use fold out couches. No hassles with booking, check in or check out. We hope to stay here again.

Amazing Location, House Needs Upkeep

This house was in the PERFECT location for a stay in Grayton Beach. The deck was great and the size of the house was perfect for 5 adults and two kids. However, the outdoor shower didn't work and there was no hose or working water spicket on the exterior of the house to rinse sand off before entering. The upstairs shower curtain and liner were covered in mold, the bathmat was unwashed (visible dried toothpaste everywhere), and there were lots of high touch areas (door handles and frames, etc) that were obviously dirty. We tried multiple times to contact VRBO to address these issues and were told they were contacting the onsite management, but nothing was ever addressed. The kitchen was very clean and had most of what we needed, but no Tupperware or storage containers, so bring those if you plan on having leftovers at all. Everything was very dated which didn't bother us a bit - that shows in the pictures when booking, and we were on the beach most of the day anyway! But there was a good bit of peeling paint on doors, doorframes, baseboards. Between that and the age of the house I would be aware with very young kids in case of lead paint.

Good large family visit

This is a good location with lots of living room space and a huge kitchen. Its so nice to be able to see the beach from the deck. They clearly just replaced the carpet in the stairs, the mold/mildew smell was only in the garage, which is easy to ignore. A few things worth noting: The steps getting into the property are steep and a little uneven. We had my dad who is not great with stairs and it was nerve-wracking, making sure he didn't fall. There is NOT a shower before getting into the house, unless you call a half hose by the stairs a shower. The dryer did not work at all, so don't plan on doing laundry. The kitchen has absolutely nothing food related. No salt/pepper, oils , or anything useful. They are very stingy with the dishwasher tabs, laundry tabs (which didn't matter because the dryer was broken) and towels. On the towels - there are no hooks in the house.

Don’t scrimp!

Great location, cute house, but the kitchen is poorly equipped, WiFi is weak, and the owners must have “cut the cord” to save money. There is supposed to be cable TV service, but there was none. That matters, on a Saturday during football season!

Perfect

We have been vacationing in and around Grayton Beach since the mid 2000's. This is the second year in a row we (6 adults & 2 toddlers) stayed at Inn The Pink. You cannot beat the Gulf Trace neighborhood, nor the neighborhood access to the beach. The proximity to the beach is perfect for anyone, but especially perfect for the littles. Once on the beach, the state park is to the east and to the west, which makes for way less human occupancy. The new decking includes a perfect ramp (game changer!), wide steps, and a large 'living'/'play' area. Heads up, baby gates for the outside/inside stairs are not included on the property. The large deck faces the ocean, has ample seating, and has a perfectly sized awning/roof that offers relief from the sun for the eastern part of the deck for most of the day. The deck was consistently our favorite place to gather when not on the beach. We set the grands up with their toys on the deck & even got them to take a nap out there. The sunroom is another favorite spot to sit and enjoy the (now) partial ocean view. It is off the kitchen and leads to the deck, which allows you to be a 'part of' those on the deck, but still have the comforts of the AC. We all love that the owners have the most colorful house in the neighborhood. We hope it stays vibrant !pink! for many years to come! Oh, and never replace the iconic 'orange swimming pool', aka the downstairs jacuzzi bathtub...ha!

Pictures not accurate

The balcony was dangerously close to collapsing. Couldn’t not walk on it without shoes because of splinters. The close proximity to the beach was great.

Relax

We were very happy with the location of the property. The house was very accommodating, large rooms, great outdoor space. Plenty of room to all be at the table to eat or play games. However I would like to say a few things need attention. The ceramic flooring throughout the main floor are cracked and broken. The stairs going out the front were separating from the decking. The kitchen could use a set of pans that the Teflon doesn't get in your food. We did have a good time just relaxing and spending time with family and friends!

Location is great, carpet gross.

Fabulous location, ample dishes and kitchen tools. Tiles coming off the floor and upstairs carpet nasty.

Location, location, location

Effectively Gulf front, easy bike ride to Grayton, Watercolor, Seaside, and Blue Mountain. Dated but charming Old Florida decor. If your trip is about family and the beach, this is your spot.

Older place needs some updates, repairs, and deep cleaning, but GREAT "old Florida beach" vibe and we're going back next year.

Amazing location

The property was in the absolute best location. There was some construction going on in the neighborhood right in front of the house, not a huge issue. There are some issues that could be addressed. One of the shower curtains was molded and black on the liner, there are some broken boards on the decking (all the kids got at least 2 or more splinters while there) this decking seriously needs to be replaced, the interior looks like my great grandma’s house and could be updated and not add more pink. I’m personally going through a home remodel Sheetrock only costs a couple hundred dollars to fix the bathrooms, toilets run $99+ And it’s a simple fix to update. I think if they did slight changes the renters would pour in. We would stay again and are excited about seeing changes that may happen in the future. We loved the view from the pour here we could see dolphins as we sat drinking coffee: the water was stunning and crystal clear. The perfect first beach trip for our children. We will definitely stay again: I read previous reviews and let me say I saw no bugs, no issues what so ever, not even a spider.

Beautiful location, home needs some repairs

Our three families stayed here two years ago and really enjoyed our trip so we returned. The view is beautiful as it was before and we really like the area. The home now needs some attention due to water damage and we will share those specific concerns with Vacasa. One easy and inexpensive fix is to replace the microwave. The interior door has paint chipping away and is quite rusted inside under the glass. A new one just costs between $75-100. In the current state, the 6 of us unanimously agreed to seek another home if the mold etc. isn't remediated. It is a great place but needs some TLC.

Nice Stay

The location is amazing. Being in Gulf Trace neighborhood is about as good as it can get. The beach is Semi Private as it is only usable by the neighborhood. The property itself is badly in need of updating. I didn't deduct much as the photos provided are a mostly accurate representation of the property. With that said, the price for the area can't be beat. The property management company Vacasa was easy to work with.

House condition

The steps up to the house were coming apart and very unsafe. There was lots of outside wood that had rotted and needs to be replaced. There was mold on the walls in the downstairs card room and the upstairs master bedroom. Toilet paper holder in the master bath was missing the roll holder. Toaster didn't work. Everything needed to be painted. Overall the house is really in bad shape. It's only saving grace is an incredible view from the front porch and it's closeness to the beach. We were a party of 3 women all in our mid to late 70s, and we could not handle the steps very well at all.
