I'm sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. I wish you would have reached out to me with any issues and I would have immediately resolved the situation. Other reviews reflect that I am always quick to respond. Unfortunately, the first time you contacted me was after we were forced to withhold a portion of your damage deposit because of the terrible state the house was left in at check out. Excessive trash was left throughout the entire house as well as food and silverware left scattered throughout the second floor deck, and dirty diaper left on the pool deck. In addition, a mattress from the second floor was moved to the third floor and not returned to the proper location. Also, a futon frame was broken. The state the house was left in required my housekeeper to spend a significant amount of extra time to have the house ready for the next renters. Lastly, I'm confused with your statement the pictures and details do not properly reflect the house as the only things that may be different from the pictures is possibly a different futon on a bed or two as we often update linens. As far as the chairs on the deck, we stay at the house four weeks every year with at least 15 adults of various sizes an weights. None of us have ever had a problem falling out of the chairs and we use the chairs on the deck constantly. Again, I wish you would have reached out to me as I am extremely quick to respond and always do my best to correct any situation when a renter is not satisfied.

I’m sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. I wish that you would have reached out to me if something was not completely up to your expectations. Although, only time you reached out to me was about the smoke detector beeping, which I immediately offered to have someone come correct. I also understand that you had to check out almost a week early, due to unexpected events on your end and you were hoping for a refund for that part of your stay. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds at that point in your stay, as we had booked the house for you months in advance and potentially forgo other rentals. Kinya, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay. I'm sorry that there was a misunderstanding on the check in time of the house (4:00 pm). The property is in the central time zone, which is one hour behind the eastern time zone. I believe that you were operating on eastern time so you mistakenly thought that the house should have been ready an hour earlier. Also, the maid did not complain about you, she just likes to have all people and items out of the house until she is finished cleaning so that the house can be properly cleaned for the guests. Again thank you for your business and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay.

Thank you for staying at our home. I'm sorry that you were unhappy that trash bags and toilet paper were not provided for your entire stay. As is the normal practice for rentals in the area, we provide paper and cleaning products for the beginning of your stay. The guest provides paper products and cleaning products for the remainder of the stay. There is a Publix and Walmart within 10 minutes of the house for your convenience. Bath towels are provided, but we are not able to provide beach towels. Both of these procedures/rules of the house are clearly stated in the description of the property. As far as the lighting, I wish that you would have communicated with me that there was a problem and I would have attempted to correct the situation. We had renters staying in the house immediately before you and they did not encounter any problems. This leads me to believe that a light bulb may have needed to be replaced.

Cindy, Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately you misunderstood the description of the location of the house. Under the location description we list: "Grayton Beach is 2 miles from the house and Seaside is 4 miles from the house." Our house is located 2 miles from Grayton Beach and 4 miles from Watercolor/Seaside. I did not specifically measure the distance to the "city center" in Seaside as the Watercolor/Seaside location is one continuous strip/restaurant area when you enter. Also, if you were not happy with the smell of the house upon arrival, I wish that you would have contacted me and I would have happily sent the cleaner out to correct the situation. We really take pride in the house and try our very best to make sure that our renters are happy, I just have to be made aware when there is a problem.
