"Our Old Faithful Surf Drive Beach House"

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this house at least 5 times in the past. We love the area. The house is located on a quiet street. The house is very spacious for our needs. The house has never been "spotless" when we have stayed there in the past, so we didnt expect it to be. The floors were dirty and the area rugs hadnt been cleaned. In all fairness, we noticed a vacum sweeper in the dumpster and that may have been the reason floors looked so bad. I called the customer service number and was promptly taken care of. I had to call customer service a few times during our stay and was very pleased with the prompt service we recevied. Overall, our stay was very good. We really like staying at this house. Its close to the stores and you can walk to at least one gas station to pick up ice and small items like that. I would recommend this house and we have over the years to people who have stayed in this house. The location seems a little more "tourist like" than before when we used to stay here. The beach is really why we come. There are so many new high rises, it makes the place more comerical. The house is still one of the favorite houses my family and friends enjoy coming to when we go on vacation. We plan on booking this house again. We call it, "Old Faithful".

Beach house with an escape plan

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was everything we wanted it to be. We had 5 families and the adults were outnumbered by kids, but it was perfect. The boys enjoyed the bunk beds, the girls loved their sleep overs in the king beds, and the adults got to enjoy slow mornings on the upstairs balcony while drinking coffee. There was plenty of room and the beach was at the back door. There are some minor things that need attention, but they didn’t impact our stay at all. We had to do some cleaning when we first arrived, but the house overall was exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much for sharing this house with us and letting our families be able to enjoy a vacation together.

We would rate this house 2 out of 5 stars. Upon arrival, the overall cleanliness was below expectations, we had to wash every single dish/utensil before use and several doors upstairs did not function properly. outside, the decking boards were worn and soft, creating safety hazards. The listing stated that the pool was heated, but the system did not work and the pump/filtration system only ran a few minutes at a time so this caused the pool water to turn green and cloudy making it unuasble and this was especially disappointing for our young children who preferred the pool over the ocean. The hot tub had similar issues. Maintenance was slow to respond and limited in what they could fix, as many of the problems stemmed from the owner's lack of upkeep. Some furniture such as dressers was also in poor condition. For the price we paid we expected the property to feel well cared for however it did not. The home does offer plenty of space for a large group and has beautiful ocean views, but the positives were overshadowed by the maintenance issues. A serious concern was the presence of the cameras inside the home. One was located about 25 feet inside the entryway on the ceiling and another was in the living room. Even though we were told the living room camera did not function their presence made us uncomfortable. As a family with children and teenagers this setup felt like a violation of privacy. Overall, the house has potential but proper maintenance is needed.

Reviewer Comments: The property it self was stunning that we will definitely be booking again. The only 2 issues we had were there was a bad storm and water got into the house causing a family member to slip and we had to clean up the water mess. Another thing was the hot tub and pool weren't clean upon our arrival, so they had to send someone to clean the pool and hot tube and then the next day they came back to drain the pool and hot tub. Other then that minor stuff but everything else was great. Maintenance guys were respectful and made sure our stay went great with out anymore issues. The View form the house was breath taking and definitely plenty of space for a large group to stay at. We enjoyed our stay and if the property is available next year we will book again.

There is plenty of space and areas for a large family to spread out to have a little private time. The beach is straight out, no stairs so it was so easy for my older parents to be able to get out to the beach! The pool and hot tub were kept clean by a private pool service company while we were there. We are coming back again next year! We already booked it and can't wait to return.

Perfect house for large group

This beach house was a perfect match for our large family vacation. With only a few steps from the back door to the beach, it suited our elderly as well as convenient for those with smaller children who needed to make frequent trips back to the house. It would be helpful if there were more larger cookware such as pots and skillets for large meals but we made do with what was available. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home!

Location location location!

To have a place in Panama City with a semi private beach was perfection! The layout of the house was great for our family of 19, the proximity to beach was great as well. Close enough to the house that we could watch the littles walk back and forth between the house and beach. We had an issue with the air not working great but they replaced the unit within two days, and brought extra fans to get us through. The kitchen is not stocked very well and the house is in major need of some TLC. But, that being said, we would 100% rent this house again!

Any time there is a problem, you get fantastic service from the management company. We have stayed at this property 3 times and this summer was the best yet. Easy to get to PCDC for diving as well as a straight shot to the Jetties. This location is not in a high traffic area and that suits our needs so well.

Fun and Beautiful

Me and my friends stayed in this house and absolutely loved it. It’s right on the beach and it is beautiful as well as it’s in walking distance to a lot of locations! It was a very fun vacation with lots of memories!

Fantastic space

We rented this house so our out of town guests could stay together for our wedding weekend. The space is terrific, and the location is perfect on the “quieter” east end of PCB. The house is beautifully situated on the beach with a lovely pool and hot tub. The property manager was kind and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable space to share with loved ones.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We own a home on Surf Druve and were looking for a space to host our wedding guests nearby. This house was perfect! The location is great. The house is large and nicely decorated. While the kitchen isn’t set up for entertaining, it has the basics needed to feed a large group. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly book again. The pool is a nice size and is heated which was especially nice on cool beach days. There was some broken outdoor furniture from a previous guest which the management company took care of immediately, and the person who came to do so was very kind.

Large Family Friendly

We had 18 total people ages 4 years and up and everyone had plenty of room! Almost everyone got their own room. Te location was perfect with immediate access to the beach and easy walks to some shops and restaurants. We had a couple minor issues but they were addressed and fixed in the same day! The kitchen was well stocked and the additional freezer came in handle with our large group. The back deck was great and fit all of us as well. We will definitely stay here again for our next family vacation!

Fall Break

House is need of a lot of repairs. Web said 2 washers 2 dryers, 1 dryer had a do not use sign on it upon arrival when contacted management said they would send someone to fix, yeah right no one ever showed…also bed frames were broken and no one ever fixed… Just a lot of issues that need to addressed.. Liked the location but will not recommend or use ECDI again…

Trying to find a place large enough to accommodate my family and friends on the beach without half the house covered in bunk beds no easy feat but we were able to have all of that here. There were the usual things I've found with ECDI. House wasn't as clean as it could have been, there were items in the house that didn't work and we were forced to fix a few things ourselves because I know better than to call for maintenance or issues I've never had anyone help or fix anything or even return a call over issues in the past. The pool is a hot tub, but we already knew that from photos. That being said... The view... Absolutely Majestic! Beach location? Completely amazing. The 2 tier deck was incredible. We had plenty of room and were able to do almost anything we wanted to do with the space. I decided a few years ago that inspite of some of the issues with this property management company I still prefer them over some of the more pristine locations. I tend to bring a large group of people with me on vacation and being in a house where everything is perfect, white, and spotless can be stressful to worry about things getting broken or ruined. We aren't bulls but I just don't worry about it as much in ECDI homes. Could they do a little better with cleaning? There were rooms we found dust on furniture and lightbulbs needing replaced, no connections to TVs, ECT. I am ready for these things though so I bring a few rokus and disinfect. Family vacation

Upon arrival the outside was not the cleanest. Gum was stuck to the boards on the outside patio, garbage was scattered throughout. Outside furniture was broken, could not enjoy the upper level outside, due to broke furniture so not enough seating. Was told that the furniture would be replaced but no one came back to replace it. Pool and hot tub nasty. Had to purchase new pillows due to the pillows being nasty. Huge bugs throughout the place. Air condition had trouble cooling the place. The plus side to it all is the beds did sleep comfortably and the location was perfect.would not stay here again due to bad outweighing the good.

2024 July trip

Beach access is wonderful! Beautiful beach and home. House just needs some minor updates but is wonderful to stay in. Hot tub was not working and pool man fixed it to where it was heating easy and quickly! Home was beautiful we would definitely stay again. We come to Panama every year and will definitely have this house saved for future trips. Pool was clean only got green the very last day. We had a wonderful time!

July Vacation

Pictures don’t do it justice. The place was great. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed it very much. Will definitely visit again.

Great Beachfront Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at the Surf Drive Beach House. We were 17 adults and 7 children. The property's general condition: Inside: very clean and comfortable (only one King bed was not usable - the mattress is shot); Outside: nice size deck area, deck furniture in decent shape, "pool" needs work (pool is actually an extra large spa - only two jets work weakly and the filter doesn't do anything - a shame since our children love to swim). The beach was glorious! We loved playing in the sand and surf. I would recommend this property to anyone with a large family that enjoys sharing time together; and, particularly, loves to be on the beach. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with assorted pots/pans. The large dining table was a great place to gather for meals and crafts. The grill outside did not have a full propane tank and the connections didn't look great - we opted not to use it. Inconveniences like the "pool" and grill did not prevent us from having a great time together!

Nasty VRBO

Horrible! I wouldn't stay here again if they offered to pay for my visit. The house was so nasty and dirty. The refrigerator did not work the entire time we were there even though we complained about it the 2nd day after realizing its just broken. There was dirty food in every dish and pan we tried to use. The dishwasher smelled so horrible like dirty mold. There was dog pee in the upstairs under the bed. The outdoor shower never worked, the swim spa was green and had to be completely cleaned before we could use the 2nd day we were there, jets never worked, hot tub was freezing cold and didn't work. There was so much mold and mildew in the upstairs bathrooms. We travel multiple times a year and this is the worst experience we've ever had. When you spend this kind of money for a place you expect a little more. The location was ok, a little off the beaten path, the check in was just fine, it was the condition of the home for us. And the fact that management didn't care about our concerns. Coming from a well traveled family I would highly recommend a different house. Stay far away from this property!
