Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely house, clean, quiet, comfortable with easy beach access. No complaints! We had trouble with the door code but management came to the rescue on a Sunday. Thank you for that!

Great house in beautiful location!

This was a great house with plenty of room for my entire family. Beautiful view of the ocean with an easy path to the beach. Everyone had a fabulous time! Will definitely come back again!

Great home for a big group.

The house was spacious and lovely. We enjoyed how easy it was to walk to the beach in minutes. We had one issue with a bathroom and the property owner was kind and very prompt at responding. We would stay here again.

3 sisters reunion

Our husbands joined us. We cooked every night at the house. The setting on the Oregon coast offers a great view and easy beach access. It was a great time.

Great place for family getaway

This property is fantastic.There is o much room we didn't even use all the beds! The central location to Newpo and the crab fishing to Yachats shopping and excellent seafood restaurants/hiking trails. The only cons are the fact that we needed to do dishes and laundry or will be fined - with the amount we paid this should not be an issue.Also, the walk to the beach. It is abit rough, I was thinking grandparents could not do it. There should be some steps or something. But overall a great family place with an amazing beach.

16 steps to main floor. Internet connection was spotty and TV went out frequently. We thought it would be closer to the beach. We still enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable for a family trip

The home is comfortable. It is a little run down with some things in need of paint and closet doors needed some maintenance. There is a bluff between the house and ocean, and beach access front m the house is not possible if you have difficulty climbing sand. The kitchen has a lot of nice dishes and pots and pans. I would have liked measuring spoons and a better can opener. Our family had a very nice time playing games and making and eating great food. We did have to drive some to an easier beach access up the road. The deck was nice and we loved listening to the ocean.

Wonderful Winter Visit to the Coast!

The home was well equipped and so perfectly cozy, it was just two of us and our doggies, so the home was HUGE. The property manager was extremely helpful with the check-in process (which was very easy). I would highly recommend this home in Waldport for your next visit to the area. The views and comfort can't be beat.

Castle Sand Stay

House was amazing over all. Location, size of house, and clean/welcoming. Older house in need of fixing up. Shower downstairs leaking, running toilets, mostly just wear and tear. Fridge had old blood in it from meat. I cleaned it. We really did enjoy the house. I would stay again. Don't want nothing to perfect for us to ruin. Lol. Also, very comfortable beds and master shower. You can definitely fit alot of people in house comfortably. Thank you

It had a view of the neighborhood. The kitchen was well equipped, but could use a Keurig. all in all it was a great experience.

The bunk beds chatter with the slightest movement. No AC which is fine but the one room with 4-5 people sleeping in it had no ceiling fan (bunk beds so that makes sense), but a plug in fan would have been a huge plus. Some of the other beds felt less than sturdy/wobbly. The house was very spacious which was nice for our large family. It was nice that there was a hose on the deck to get rid of sand and such. I guess I expected more for what we paid.

Cozy retreat at Castle in the Sand

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of four adult family members had an enjoyable stay at this property, which is a quick 5 minute drive to downtown Waldport. The house was very clean. The rooms were right-sized and spaced to maximize privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in (if you need measuring spoons, bring them). It was so nice to enjoy the views from the kitchen and dining/living rooms. We brought our own fire logs, which added to the cozy ambiance in the living and dining rooms. The internet and TV app access were perfectly adequate. We definitely enjoyed the pool table located on the lower level. A quick walk for able-bodied adults on a packed sand trail to the ocean highlighted our stay. While hand soap is provided for handwashing, do bring your own shower soap/shampoo/conditioner. Adequate paper products were provided for our length of stay. Although it does not have high rental frills such as a Keurig, free coffee/tea, shower soap and shampoo, we will likely rent again if available. The property is currently up for sale with a few realtors having left their cards on the kitchen counter per their usual custom. I contacted the vacation rental management staff once with a question. My call was returned, and my question was answered promptly and kindly.

The house was spacious and clean, and the kitchen had almost everything you could think of, which was great for my chef son. The limited view did not bother us at all and the walk over the sand dune was not a problem, although it would be too much if you were infirm, elderly or a small child (the cut grass was not at eye level for us fortunately). All in all, we would come back!

Annual 20 Below Dog Club Visit to Waldport!

The house was super clean and well appointed. The furniture was clean and inviting to sit on. Our guys had great laughs while playing pool in the very nice family room downstairs. We had easy access to the beach and were close by to some of our other club members. The management company was prompt and responsive, although we really had no issues to report. We hope to come back to this house next year!

Castle In the Sand

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: View was nice. House was quiet as there were no neighbors present on either side. Front entrance and driveway were overgrown with weeds and blackberry bushes and the driveway was full of potholes, altogether taking up 2 of the parking places - did not look at all like the photo. Kitchen cupboards and drawers need maintenance. Many of the cooking pans were dirty. The outside side decks are angling downward and didn't feel safe. Outdoor chairs were all cracked and broken. Would have been nice to have a tide table booklet and some pamphlets on local activities and vendors. Also needs to have some kind of info on cable system - not everyone is tech saavy. Did not expect to have to provide out own paper towels/toilet paper. When spending $4,000 we expected these to be provided. At least there were adequate linens/towels. Sliding doors were hard to open. And I think that it should not be the guest's responsibility to haul the garbage can up and down the nasty driveway.

Worn but welcoming

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was in a great location- right on the beach. The view frommain room large windows couldn’t quite see over the sand dune to get the ocean, which was disappointing. Overgrowth of the landscaping was a little unsightly but not distracting from the experience. Overall the home worked well for our family with the two separate tv/sitting areas. Plenty of bedrooms. We felt the oregon coast welcome that we’ve grown to love and overlooked some of the shortcomings of the accommodation. Ocean Odyssey was pleasant to work with and responsive- we will use them for a future rental.
