En klassisk Kauai Cottage på acres af smukke grunde. Væk fra udviklingen og offentligheden. Mere Island Artsy Than Corporate. Se solopgangen fra havets horisont fra sengen. Nyd stille tid under skyggen af Pink Tacoma
træer i hængekøjen, der omfatter både hav og bjergudsigt. IDEAL FOR NATURE ELSKER KUN ... fordi, selv om hytten får skadedyrsbekæmpelse kvartalsvis, kan du stadig se insekter. Det er en del af at være i et tropisk klima.
Dens en kort 15 til 20 minutters gang ned ad en skyggefuld lille vej til smukke Anahola Strand. I tilfælde af en tsunami-advarsel behøver du IKKE at evakuere, da vi ikke er i evakueringszonen.
Vores tilbagetog ligger i øst for en god base for at udforske begge sider af øen. Også inden for 25 minutters gåafstand er en lille general butik, posthus, ono char burger stand.

Amazing property/location. Far enough to be away from the tourist traps & resorts & close enough for daily adventures with near by secluded beaches. Fabulous stay with everything we needed at the cottage. Highly recommend!

Amazing!!

What a beautiful location, secluded but not too far from town and all the attractions. We loved the quaint little cottage it was the perfect size. We will definitely be back to this little slice of paradise!

Charming, peaceful cottage

We loved our stay on Mahinani's Farm! The setting was beautiful, with the mountains as a backdrop, and the ocean down the hill out front. The cottage was a perfect getaway for my husband and me. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved having beach chairs and umbrellas and a cooler provided for our use! The location was great, as we were easily able to visit sites on the coconut coast as well as the north shore. We accessed many beaches easily. I loved the calm serenity of the location. Watching the sunrises from the front patio was a highlight! I would definitely come back! Thank you!

Perfectly Relaxing

A piece of paradise

We enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Rustic Cottage so much!!! The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean to stay in. It was magical waking up each morning to the beautiful sunrises and the sounds of the birds and roosters. It definitely is a piece of paradise to experience!

Just Dreamy

We loved this cottage. It had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and the prefect spot to come back to after a day out on the island. We appreciated the beach gear and the washer / dryer was great as we were there for 9 days. The sunrise from bed was beautiful. If you are looking for a laid back, private, unique location this is the cottage. Mahalo Diana. We loved it there!

Perfect

Quiet, great location. Enjoyed the snorkel equipment, boogie board, noodle, beach chairs. So thoughtful. Saw five wild pigs passing through. Gorgeous view of ocean. Birdsong. Everything you’d want in a kitchen. Best place we’ve ever stayed.

Delightful

Isolated yet close proximity to local attractions. Super cute with farm animals to keep you company. Lots of birds, flowers and sounds of nature. Faces magnificent sunsets with a peek of the ocean. Home is inviting, clean, unique and has everything you need. Nice bed, hot hot water with good water pressure. Laundry and clothes line available along with adventure gear. Very pleased with this location and our stay.

We Loved This Place!

My husband and I loved staying at this cozy cottage. From the drive up we were stunned by the mountain view behind the house. When at the home you are surrounded by the chirping of birds and crowing of roosters that transports to an island paradise feel. The house looked updated from the listing photos with lovely natural light, a nice open kitchen and cement flooring throughout. It was equipped with everything we needed for the stay including beach chairs and boogie boards which we really appreciated having. There was also a supply of sunscreen, bug sprays and after sun cream which came in handy as well. Diana was always quick and kind in her responses and communication. Like the listing mentions we saw a few small lizards and bugs but nothing scary or out of the norm. The house did get warm but there are many fans and with the doors and windows open we were able to keep it comfortable during our February stay. Having this cozy home to come back to at the end of an adventurous day was very relaxing. It really started to feel like home and we were sad to leave at the end of the week. Would definitely recommend this home to others if you're looking for a relaxing, dreamy stay in Kauai.

Quiet private relaxation

This cottage is in a charming country setting with one neighbor offering goat yoga. It is absolutely private and quiet - the only sounds we heard were the birds, roosters and the distant surf. The kitchen has been updated and was very well equipped and neatly organized making cooking enjoyable. The bathroom has also been updated and the bed was very comfortable. There is a large lawn and a distant ocean view in front and a spectacular view of Kalalea Mountain in the back. We walked to Anahola Beach from the cottage. It’s a little less than a mile, about half through the woods and half down a quiet road lined with large beautiful trees. The beach is lovely. There are many lovely beaches within 30 minutes of the cottage. Our favorites were Paliku (Donkey) Beach and Moloa’a. There’s a wonderful paved walkway from Kapa’a to just beyond Donkey Beach which is just a few minutes from the cottage. We avoided Kapa’a except for going to Sam’s Ocean View, which was great. We shopped in Kilauea and Princeville. Kilauea has several nice cafes and a good bakery. Princeville has a good grocery store. Diana, the owner, provided excellent directions and information for checking in. It couldn’t have been easier.

Magical Hideaway

This tucked-away little cottage was just what we were looking for on this trip to Kauai. The grounds and neighborhood felt very safe and welcoming and have a sense of community but privacy. Diana is close by and very responsive and caring but not intrusive. The flowers and lush vegetation surround a large lawn where the chicken and birds gathered. The morning birdsong and sunrises were such a joyful start of each day. You can easily walk to the ocean which has a nice beach and river. Surfing too. There was quite a bit of rain for the first few days which added to the beauty. Anahola is a nice spot to retreat after a day of activities. Don't be afraid of a little rain or weather. It adds to the vibe, continue with your planned activities... it will change. The cottage is well equipped, peaceful and comfortable. A small Market nearby has the basics and the Kalalea Juice Bar is a must do! You can shop for big groceries at Costco in Lihue or at Safeway in Kapa'a which is only 20 minutes away. The other nice thing about Anahola is that it's pretty easy to get to things both north and south. It was a perfect stay for us and if you like something "less touristy", we highly recommend it. Beautiful home with amazing views. Lovely visitors, four paws. Diana was a lovely host. Grateful for her sharing her beautiful, peaceful cottage. Close to beautiful beaches. You can walk to one and travel the island easily. Diana had all needs covered for a day yo the beach. No better place to come home to besides your own. Thank you! Looking forward to returning!

Beware! When they say Rustic - they mean basically camping

We walked through the front door and immediately left the property. Very dirty, cobwebs everywhere, potentially mold on surfaces, and crumbs in the counter. The bathroom was also very badly discolored and could use a very deep cleaning.

This is a fantastic hideaway in the hills, tranquil with constant cool sea breezes -- far from the crowds and tourists, a true getaway to chill and close to lots of great beaches and snorkel spots on the east shore. We spent a perfect week and would have loved to stayed longer.

Many VRBO reviews mention that they enjoyed the property so much that they plan to return again in the future. We loved everything about our stay in Diana’s cottage so much that we actually just finished our second visit in just under a year. Based on the many return visitors who signed the guest book, we are not the only ones who feel this way!Other reviews outline the property details, so I will limit this one to say that she has created a very special place that feels like home in an exceptional setting. And yes, we are already planning our next stay!!

Great secluded retreat

This property was perfect for our little island getaway. It was secluded but within a good distance from all the island events. Definitely rustic. Make sure you are okay with bugs, lizards and chickens. Bug spray is going to be your best friend.
