We are new to this platform, but have over 190 5-star reviews on the competing platform- read what guest have to say about us there!

Just minutes off both hwy 80 and hwy 24 and BART, you will find this quiet nook waiting for you to enjoy private outdoor living, complete with pool and hot tub, pool side seating with umbrellas and fire pit, patio with grill and of course, all the modern amenities inside to ensure a quiet and relaxing time away from it all!

This space is all about peace and quiet and giving yourself that well deserved break to come up for air. Enjoy taking a nap on the hammock out front, dozing off on a pool chair in back, dip in the pool and gaze up at the blue sky or dunk into the hot tub at dusk listening to the crickets chirping in the distance and the night sky lights up with stars.

House in a very quiet neighborhood with a beautiful, well-equipped outdoor area. The jacuzzi is a real bonus for relaxing in the evening.

My family and I have rented a number of vacation homes over the last 10 years and by far this was the best! Perfect home away from home! Everything needed in a great cook’s kitchen so that we could enjoy Thanksgiving dinners with our family. Comfortable beds and the perfect relaxation space in the backyard. Thank you Steven for all your attention to detail.

The house is exactly how the pictures look. Loved the house and having a heated pool and hot tub. Layout worked well and we were able to visit Sonoma Valley and San Francisco during our visit on day trips. I highly recommend this stay! Steven was very helpful and answered any questions we had! Great host :)

This was our second time staying at this lovely home. It is arranged and maintained with such love and care and thoughtfulness. Beds are so comfortable! Bathrooms and towels are sparkling white. Kitchen is stocked with everything you can possibly need. And of course the pool and jacuzzi are just excellent. Pool toys, longe chars and outdoor table, fireplace and a couch: we enjoyed all of those things. We are definitely coming back :)

Great house!

We ALL loved everything about this house! It is named appropriately because it has a wonderful zen feel and is beautifully appointed. You can tell the owner cares because every detail was attended to. Steven was a pleasure to work with and we would stay here again when returning to the Bay Area.

Perfect family getaway

The only problem we have with this property is that we can't rate it higher than a 5. Everything was perfect and we enjoyed every moment. The house is extremely well outfitted, organized and comfortable, and the host is quick to respond and easy to communicate with. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Just right for family getaway.

The home is perfect for a family looking for the perfect perch to to day trips throughout the regions. The home is very comfortable, spacious, and well kept. The owners is responsive and not intrusive. Moreover, from here you can easily see all the bay areas has the offer and be comfortable. Or just say put, cook, and make memories in this great home.

My family had a blast staying here! Heated pool was perfect for us Minnesotans! The grill and deck heater were used as well. House was spacious enough for us to spread out and enjoy our time. Thanks for hosting us! Hope we come back this way again!

Nice Quiet Stay

We had a family member graduating from Berkeley. When we finally got around to booking a short-term rental for this event, most of the rentals were booked up because so many families were coming into town for the graduation. There were a few places left in Oakland California, but with all the bad press about the city we decided we did not want to stay there. So we chose to look a little further out. I am so glad we did! His home was in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by lush greenery, beautiful hills and the sound of birds constantly singing praises. The home was very nicely decorated and comfortable for our family. Our grandson totally enjoyed his time in the swimming pool. We were not at the house much but when we were there we all enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anybody looking to stay in the area.

Wonderful base for exploring the Bay Area

We stayed here for spring break with our three kids ages 9, 11, and 14. The home was exactly what we were looking for and more! The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids and it was the perfect way to end our days exploring the San Francisco Bay area. The home was well appointed with anything we might have needed. My husband and oldest son battled it out at the chess table (son almost won!) and we enjoyed some movies before bed in the front room. We thought the beds were very comfortable and the check-in/out process was very easy. Communication was great and the instructions were clear. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!

Fabulous retreat!

The house is as advertised or better! Steve was an excellent communicator. Quick and thorough responses to messages and very clear instructions on check in/out. The house is pure perfection! Clearly designed with love and care as if for your own use. Immaculate, cozy and very very comfortable. Has everything one might need. The pool and surrounding area is also very well maintained and perfect for family fun. Our kids had a blast and we had zero safety or otherwise concerns. Kitchen is fully stocked. And definitely worth mentioning: the beds are so sooooo comfortable, which I think is rare in a rental. We can’t wait to have another opportunity to come back!

Truly Zen Retreat

We had an amazing stay at Steven’s property over a weekend. The property is very well kept and has a great pool and deck area to relax in. Steven’s communication was excellent and he was available for any questions we had. The beds were extremely comfortable, especially the memory foam mattress. There was great attention to detail, and it was clear that the house was well cared for. There was a huge Japanese maple and other pine trees in the yard. They gave a very peaceful feeling to the house. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if we were back in the area. It was a short 30 minute drive to Napa for wine tasting and we also went to Mare Island shipyard for a car event that weekend.

Great birthday getaway with friends!

Our experience at the house met all of expectations and more. It was my birthday weekend and friends joined to celebrate the weekend, Steven even left a birthday ballon, card and sweet treat gift. Thank you Steven, that was very sweet of you! We like to cook and grill and the kitchen amenities were well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook. The coffee situation was on point with a variety of choices in coffee makers and coffee. The house was impeccably clean and bigger than we expected. The decorations and furniture had a nice modern style. The bedrooms were very nice. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The weather was too cool to enjoy the outside so we stayed cozy instead with duraflame logs in the fireplace. If you're in the area, we recommend this stay!

Great Grad Weekend!

I booked this fabulous weekend for my grad school graduation -- a retreat for me and thank you gift to my family for their support throughout. The property was well kept, well stocked, and as described. Steven was phenomenal about reaching out with codes, directions, and ensuring we had an enjoyable, restful stay. Clear instructions were posted around the property (user manuals in the kitchen, directions for the pool and spa) My husband and son loved making fancy espressos and my daughter and I enjoyed the tea selections. Super comfy beds, lots of extra linens and towels, and a generius assortment of toiletries made us feel right at home. The distance from our primary areas of engagement (oakland and san francisco) was an easy 30 minutes -- a bit longer to the airport. We were thrilled to stay here over booking at a hotel. We enjoyed the spa/hot tub daily and thought about extending our stay several times. Loads of fun games kept us entertained and the all season fireplace was a joy. There are many stores and restaurants nearby, I was able to have a dress tailored (an unexpected need) at a local dry cleaner - same day at a reasonable rate! Our food and grocery orders were delivered with ease. Everything we needed was within a 5 minute drive, but the property made us feel as if we were worlds away. Book without delay, and add an extra day to your stay -- its totally worth it! hit!ywwoiit!it!madfeworlaway.

Born and raised in the Richmond District of San Francisco, as a kid I just assumed the world was drenched in cold, wet fog each and every morning and that the sun completely disappeared during the Summer only to return in the Fall right around the time school started back up again!

While I still love the action of the city and walking through Golden Gate Park out to the beach on those super foggy days, I immediately felt this home was perfect for me on so many levels. While it still gets a cooling breeze off the bay for me to know I am still around water, it's far enough inland to get nice and toasty on those days you just want to jump in the pool. And while it's close enough to head into the city or Napa any time I want, it really has that retreat feel when you are laying poolside in the backyard where all you hear is the breeze rustling through the leaves, the distant crowing of roosters and even the occasional clopping of hooves as a local takes a ride on their horse down our street.

I take great pride in this home and spend many days maintaining and improving upon the home in the spirit of making it just that bit nicer when the next guest checks in. While I am a private person, I really enjoy opening up the home to guests who appreciate and respect the space and for me to read the reviews and feedback from guests who share how they enjoyed the home. It's been a very rewarding experience and I look forward to having you all stay and share in that feeling.
