The 9 Palms home offers unmatched privacy. An initial Benchmark signature box of amenities is provided for all guests. For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 pack of kitchen wipes and liners for each trashcan plus 2 washing machine pods. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of facial and bath soaps/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom.

Great for multi-generation families looking for a quiet retreat

We agree with previous reviewers that some of the mattresses need to be replaced now(both upstairs beds)! And definitely pack beach towels! The starter kits provided were perfect until we could shop for what we needed the day after arrival. There were some pool and beach toys, games and a pack&play that were unexpected and great to have for 2 toddlers and 6 adults. The location was perfect for us! The neighborhood was quiet and the beach access was very close by. Benchmark was responsive whenever we contacted them. They had the pool heated (extra fee) in advance of our arrival and replaced a faulty smoke alarm that went off during our stay. The included golf cart was great. Only thing missing was bikes, which we rented at The Big Chill.

Unforgettable memories

It was a nice surprise to see that the house is actually larger and more spacious than in the pictures. We biked everywhere as Alys beach was a 10 minute bike from the house and Rosemary/Seacrest is another 5 minutes. We golfed everywhere too but more for dropping off since there's no parking allowed for golf carts, but this was useful for when hauling stuff to the beach, which is about a few minutes walk from the house. Fantastic time and appreciate the opportunity to stay here, away from the crazy touristy crowd as this area is more relaxed and chill.

Great house, great location!

This house was wonderful and in a great location! If you want the pool heated, you need to let them know several days before checking in (which I did not see on the listing). We had some issues getting in touch with the management company due to the holiday but once we finally got them they fixed the issue promptly.

Bi-annual Family Vacation

Location to the beach was an easy walk but getting up the steps from the beach can be difficult for those with health conditions or elderly. If we had known there were so many steps we would have stayed elsewhere due to a family member having trouble climbing them. The queen mattresses in 2 of the bedrooms need to be replaced. Main bedroom’s mattress was perfect. Pool turned green on Wednesday and was not cleaned until Friday. Pool guy said it always does when it rains. He probably needs to come twice a week when rainy. Patio and grill area was great. Did not see any beach services so had to bring chairs/umbrella to beach. Rental credit for those items was appreciated. Definitely spacious enough for everyone to spread out.

It was such a great location with an easy bike ride into The Hub or to Alys/Rosemary. The beach access was extremely convenient as well. The access was directly across the street from the entrance to the neighborhood on 30A, and once you got there the walkway had a boardwalk and a shower at the top of the stairs to rinse sandy feet after a day at the beach. Some things that would improve the stay at the house would be more linens, towels, washcloths, blankets. Several of the beds only had a thin quilt, and we only found one extra blanket in entire five-bedroom house. The house was clean, and Benchmark was great to work with! Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Nice property, great location

9 Palms was a nice rental home for our three generation spring break trip. The home layout provided good gathering spaces, as well as privacy for each family unit with separate sleeping/bathroom areas. Excellent and easy beach access just a short walk away. Restaurants plus The Hub area were close by. The small pool was fine for preschool aged kids. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this home.

Spring break family reunion

Property was in excellent condition. We had one issue with the swimming pool heater that was rectified promptly by Benchmark. The location was convenient to the beach and other activities in the area.

Great Home to Rent

Reviewer Comments: The reason I gave lower scores in certain areas is because we ran into a number of issues as soon as we arrived - there were numerous cockroaches spotted, the living room fan was so dusty to the point that we could see it, the back door to the pool was extremely difficult to open/close (which we learned they’ve been trying to fix) and the refrigerator’s ice/water functions were broken. It appeared they clean after each guest but that’s the extent. They were quick to send maintenance once I did call and voice my complaints. I just expected more from a higher end, expensive property.

Great house, close to the beach

The kitchen was well stocked. I would recommend adding some more silverware. We seemed to run out all the time. The main bedrooms were very nice size and the master suite was gorgeous. All the beds were very comfortable. Benchmark Management was excellent to work with. We had an issue with a shower and they were there within 30 minutes to fix. The only issue that I feel needs to be addressed is the main bathroom plumbing. Maintenance came out and a plumber but the issue was not totally fixed. All in all is was a wonderful time with our family. I would definitely stay here again.

However, as it was documented from my calls/texts to benchmark we did have some issues: First, water pressure was bad for the first three days, plumber came out and found out main was not fully engaged. Multiple toilets had plumbing issues, however the 1st floor bath next to the living room never would flush correctly and even after multiple plumber visits couldn't be resolved. The master toilet had a cracked seat (you can imagine what that can do) and never was fixed duirng my stay. The pool was dirty upon arrival, BM did get it cleaned ahead of the normal schedule (thank you). We had to take out ALL (and I mean all) garbage from the back left by either previous tenant or someone...was gross (magits, ripped bags, needed gloves to pick up, bad odors), one of my sons was nausious from it...Again very nice place that could have been better prepared for us, and definitely has some plumbing issues that need to be addressed. We love BM and will continue to use them for future vacations. Also would stay here again if all items were resolved.

We loved every single part of it. And only 2-3 min away from the beach. Walking distance. Great home can’t wait to go back next year.
