We are a family of 5, with 3 teens. This house was a great space for us. It had separation for us to spend time apart and good space for us to be together. A few notes. Some reviews complained about the house being close to the road. This wasn't an issue for us. There are bushes separating the house from the road, and the road just isn't busy. The basement has the only TV, which was great, and it had a pool table. The basement was a bit cramped for a pool table but we made it work. The pool cues need replaced, most are either broken or need new tips. Also the plastic darts for the dart board have bent tips and need replaced. All these are minor issues that we worked with. The distance from Acadia was perfect for us. We don't mind 45 minutes on the road. The house does not have AC, but our week was mild temps, so it was beautiful. The house does have some quirks. The light switches are super confusing in some places. I don't think we ever figured out how to turn some lights or fans on. The host was great! We didn't have any fluid to start the charcoal grill, and she brought some over. There are restaurants and grocers nearby, so it's not in the middle of nowhere. All in all, this was a great stay. Highly recommend!
