Here are some unique things we enjoy about our beach haven: The accessibility is amazing! Just pull up to the front door and unload, then walk out the back patio onto the beach. The pool is on the front side, which makes the ocean facing patio much more peaceful. Surf Dweller condominium has the most spacious two-bedroom floor plan on Okaloosa Island and is one of the only buildings with a Tennis/Pickleball court. We would love to host you!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Truly a hidden gem, we find that the location, off the beaten path, is perfect for us. Not a ton of beach traffic and the sand is essentially the same as East of the bridge. The A/C cranks and there are 4 reclining seats in the living room. Great place!

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of bath and beach towels! Sand toys were an added bonus. Enjoyed all the local restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo was perfect, as close to the beach as you can get. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The parking was easy. The host was very attentive. Would come back again in a heartbeat!

Directly on the beach! Wonderful!

We had a really nice time! The proximity to the beach was the absolute best part. We loved walking right out the back door and having toes in the sand! My only complaint (and it’s minor) is that we had to buy an extra blanket for the master bed because we were freezing! I hope to be back this time next year!

Steps to the sand

We were very pleased with this condo. Very spacious. Bedroom setup was perfect. I like the primary bedroom to have a view. We really liked being on the first floor. Beds were very comfortable. Beach service was easy. Would definitely stay here again.We didn’t do much exploring. Just wanted to chill. Would recommend going to McGuires Pub. The food and service were outstanding.

Place was nice

The place was really nice, loved the master bedroom and bath. I’m eighty so loved the no stairs. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best also had to leave for a week for my son passed away unexpectedly. So not a very successful vacation but have nothing unfavorable to say about my rental

Relaxing Stay

Our family of 6 had a great stay at this location. Fort Walton is a quiet, relaxing, beach town! We loved having easy access to the beach with just a few steps! The added bonus of two beach chairs and an umbrella was a huge plus and made our beach days more enjoyable with less to tote. We had plenty of room and everything we needed for the stay! The host was very quick at responding and even suggested things to do in the area and restaurants to check out during our stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your condo! We had a great time!

Home away from hone

One Step To The Beach is everything we had been looking for in a vacation rental. It is the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The hosts were amazing and communication was excellent! The property is located directly on the beach! You literally walk out your back door and you are a few steps away from the beautiful sand and ocean! We have found our new “home away from home” and will definitely be returning to this wonderful condo for our next vacation!

Beautiful condo!

This condo is on the top of our list! Clean, comfortable and so convenient to the beach. Nicole and James were great! Responded immediately and took great care of our family. We highly recommend and will definitely visit again soon.

This was our second year to come back to this amazing place. Was so excited to see some of the new things. Super convenient to park walk in and there is the beach! Hope to come back again in the fall!

Hidden Gem!

This is the first time we’ve stayed West of the bridge, so we were unsure at first if we would end up liking the area. We waited too long to book this trip and there was limited availability in the area we typically book inside of (near Crystal Beach). This property ended up moving to our #1 slot! The main floor is super convenient for not only trips to the car but also steps to the beach. You can walk out the back and to the left or right, about 30yds to the walkway to the beach. From the rental to your feet in the ocean takes about 5 minutes or slightly less. Amazing. You can see the ocean from the living room but not where the ocean touches the beach. For us this was of little importance. The sand dunes are beautiful as well. There are lots of good choices and two quick stores, all within a 5 minute drive. The beach is private with an included umbrella and two chairs. Get there by 8:30a to secure one for that day, if make a reservation with the attendant for other days. The sand quality is the same as the other main beaches of Destin…fantastic. This area of the beach has mostly families and no shenanigans from the party crowd from our experience. The rental was well appointed and felt very comfortable to us. The AC blew very cold and believe it or not kept up during the 108 heat index days this week! The beds and pillows were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The owners are very responsive and kind, and made us feel like family. We be back 100%!

Great Vacation

My family and I had a great time. The condo was clean and spacious for a family of 4. The view was amazing and being able to walk a few steps to the beach was very convenient. I will definitely be recommending this place to a few of my friends and family. Also, the restaurants around the area was great.

Best Beach Stay

The checkin process was excellent and easy. The condo itself was spotless and had everything we needed. It was the perfect access to the beach. We WILL be back to stay in this condo. Excellent and very quick responsive hosts we've ever had.

Girls trip

We had a wonderful trip. The condo was beautiful decorated. The only thing we saw that could be upgraded was the baseboard could use a little touch up. And the smaller bedrooms the carpet needs to be replaced. We look forward to staying here again in the future. We love the first floor balcony. Only steps away from the beach.

Peaceful Stay

This condo is now our favorite. From the moment you walk in you can see the amazing view. I was a bit worried being on the ground floor that I wouldn't be able to see the ocean good, but it was perfect! Love the easy access to the beach. The rooms were spacious and great size for our teenagers. Nicole was very responsive and helped with any questions I had. Can't wait to stay again!

Surprised with painting

The condo is spacious and mostly updated except the kitchen which had a very dirty stove and floor. The master bedroom area had to be cleaned again after we arrived due to some repairs that were made - covered with sanding dust. We were not told about the exterior painting that was being done. Also, we were denied access to the front door for a week because of this painting and could not lock the patio door. We left a week early and did get a nice refund because of all of this. The beach is beautiful and the area is very quiet.

Fall Break Vacay

This was a great vacation. We were able to spend time on the beach and relax in the condo. I loved being on the first floor and close to the walkway to the beach. Our host was wonderful and communicated in a quick and timely manner. She also made suggestions of activities to do and restaurants to visit. I plan to return soon.

Location Location Location!!!

Nicole and James have thought of pretty much everything!! My husband and I brought our boys (3yr & 6yr) to the beach for a few nights and what a PERFECT SPOT. It was CLEAN upon arrival, just steps to the beach/pool, easy to load/unload, not crowded, chairs/umbrella included, washer/dryer, full kitchen, grill?! I mean seriously it was absolutely everything we needed!!! The only note I’d make to anyone staying here is the beds are very firm, which my husband loved, but I prefer a little cushion! I bought a little pad from Target and it worked like a charm. All around 5 STARS, we will 100% book here again.

An Unforgettable Escape: 5-Star Experience!

Our stay at the Surf Dweller in Fort Walton Beach was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we stepped foot into this condo, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the shimmering Emerald Coast. Being on the first floor made it so convenient to access, and we loved the ease of pulling up right to the front door for a hassle-free check-in. The complimentary beach service with 2 beach chairs and an umbrella was a fantastic perk. It allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the sun, sand, and surf, soaking in the beauty of the Gulf without a worry in the world. The master suite with a king bed was incredibly comfortable, and the second bedroom with two queen beds worked perfectly for our family. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities like cable and streaming services for entertainment, fast WiFi, and a washer and dryer right in the condo to keep everything fresh and clean throughout our stay. From the stunning views to the top-notch amenities, this property offered everything we could have asked for and more. We are already dreaming of our return to this beach paradise and will cherish the memories we made during our stay. A heartfelt 5-star recommendation to anyone seeking a perfect getaway in Fort Walton Beach!

We had the best time!

My family and I had the best time on vacation! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. I wasn’t sure about being on the first floor but it was very convenient with small kids because you go right out the patio and the beach is almost right there. The beach is absolutely beautiful and you get a beach umbrella and 2 chairs with your rental which was great! We would definitely stay there again!

Great Family Vacation Place

Great spot, perfect for older guests because of the first floor access. Even though it's a large complex and seven stories high, we never heard a peep from neighbirs above or next to us. Owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing and provided great recommendations.

The most amazing trip

I can’t say enough good things about this condo! It was absolutely amazing! Front door parking, the view is peaceful and so close to the beach we could come and go back and forth from the beach so quickly! Already planning our return trip for next year!
