This was our first extended trip as a family and the house was a perfect place for us and our 7 month son. Plenty of amenities for the little one (pack and play, chairs, and loads of books). The home would be great for families of all ages. Tons of space inside and out with plenty to do. Acadia and Bar Harbor are an easy drive and if you don't want to cross over to the island there are food options nearby.The views are great throughout the house and theyve provided everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend as a home base for your next Acadia trip.

We LOVED this house! The photos do not do it justice. The ocean views from the huge porch are absolutely gorgeous. The house was really clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the house was tastefully decorated. It’s a short drive to Acadia and close to many restaurants and a supermarket. We will definitely return!

The home was absolutely lovely, peaceful, clean and relaxing. Every detail was thoughtful. It was a wonderful place for our family vacation.

Family Fun

The house was spotless and beautiful, very private with great views. It was spacious with a large porch and deck allowing all of us some space to spread out. There was a nice little market a mile away and a yummy lobster pound at the end of our driveway. We enjoyed pizza from West Eden pizza too. It was also convenient to Acadia only 9 miles away.

Beautiful, convenient, temperature controlled in sleeping areas with great window units and fans in master suite (cause it was a bit humid and I have allergies, otherwise windows open was great in July)! The place was so clean had so many cooking supplies and other bonuses that we could use. The view was magnificent! Would come back in a heartbeat.

Perfect location to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor!

This property was perfect for our family of 5!! We stayed 4 nights with 3 days to explore the area. The location to Acadia and Bar Harbor was very convenient. It was clean and stocked with necessities. Beautiful quiet property! We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Convenient location

This was am anniversary getaway for my husband and I to the Acadia area. The house was everything we hoped for and while much larger than we needed it was cozy nestled in off the main road with a view of the island. The home has several porches with different views which are great depending on the time of day and weather. It was easy to get to the main park as well as the Schoodic Peninsula so made it a good central location. Would love to come back and bring the family! Great home!

Best VRBO rental we have ever stayed in!

Our family of 5 (kids ages 10, 7, and 5) cannot stop talking about this luxurious house! We spent equal time inside and out, enjoying playing in the backyard and front yard overlooking MDI. The house in in the perfect location to enjoy the lobster pound and travel easily over to MDI. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and all of the kitchen tools and gadgets were a treat to cook with! The entire house is furnished comfortably inside and out and there were plenty of towels and extra blankets for cool nights. Thank you so much for having us!

Peaceful, private, perfect

The pictures are pretty, but they cannot prepare you for how beautiful this home actually is. It is completely private, with a wraparound porch that has rocking chairs so that you can sit and take in the most perfect views of the mountains and the bay. The grounds are perfect for outdoor play with the kids, and the house is impeccably maintained with all the essentials and then some. It’s location is just under 20 minutes from Acadia, and Bar Harbor, and 10 minutes from a great ice cream place “Udderly Heaven” we visited daily! We made so many happy memories here and hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful stay by the coast!

My family had a wonderful week visiting Mt. Desert Island/Acadia! The home was beautifully furnished and nicely maintained. The property provided adequate indoor and outdoor space to fellowship, eat, play games, read, and lounge around. My family enjoyed putting the Maine puzzle together the afternoon it rained and playing corn hole in the evenings. We appreciated being so close to Acadia! We liked the easy access to favorite hikes and scenic ocean views. Driving to the Schoodic Peninsula and hiking the Schoodic Head Trail was one of our favorites! The home is close to a great little Supermarket and restaurants. Walmart is only 15 minutes up the road if needed! Thank you, Melissa, for making it a wonderful stay for our family!

Home away from Home

This property was spotless and beautifully decorated. It was very private and had several spots to relax both inside and outside. The view was lovely, great spot for coffee in the morning on the deck. The home was welcoming and had everything you could ask for. The kitchen had all kinds of pots and pans for any of your culinary needs. It was easy to get to/from Acadia Natl Park and the drive to Bar Harbor was only 20-25 mins. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

Great location for Bar Harbor area

Place is better than the pics, which is always a good sign. Views are very nice and we were able to walk/run in the mornings which was great. Location is perfect to be just outside of Bar Harbor but close to everything. And the lobster pound at the end of the driveway is great. Thanks and highly recommend
