Spanned across three levels is this beautiful 2-bedroom/3-bathroom condo in a quiet building surrounded by lush forest. This mountain townhome backs up to Burgess Creek and is across the street to some of Steamboat Ski Resort's best hiking and biking trails. The free winter shuttle will bring you to the base area or will allow you to skip all the lines by dropping you off at the Thunderhead chair lift!

Entering Winterwood 10, you will be immediately taken by the modern, mountain decor. There is a large storage area for all of your outdoor toys.

You will be able to enjoy your evenings in the living room in front of the gas fireplace and flat-screen TV. You will love the large plush couch that could comfortably sleep one. Just outside of the living room, relax in the quiet mountain landscape around the gorgeous firepit while you grill up some food on the gas-powered grill.

The well-furnished kitchen is stocked up with everything you need to cook a delicious meal for the whole family including dishware, silverware, pots/pans and utensils. There is room for four at the dining room table as well as an additional two at the bar top. Around the corner from the kitchen you will find a full bathroom conveniently on the main level.

Upstairs you will find the master bedroom overlooking large windows equipped with a cozy king bed and a flat screen TV. You will find the washer and dryer here in the large master closet along with plenty of storage for all of your belongings. This master bedroom has an enormous en-suite bathroom including a gorgeous shower, sauna, and alluring tub. The perfect place to pamper yourself after a long powder day.

Downstairs on the lowest level is the second bedroom which is outfitted with a snug queen bed & a daybed with twin trundle that will sleep an additional 2. There is also a large walk in closet and a sitting area with a flat screen TV. Additionally, there are two small cots that can be pulled out for additional sleeping for two. Attached is a sizeable en-suite bathroom with plenty of space and a beautifully remodeled shower.

Whether you are relaxing after a long day of skiing in the private on-site sauna or grilling some food on the propane grill in the Rocky Mountain forest, this modern townhome has everything your group needs for a perfect vacation with easy access to world-class skiing and mountain biking.

GETTING AROUND: This property is not located on the free city bus line and a car is necessary for getting around. In the winter, there is a complimentary ski shuttle running on a loop to the Thunderhead chair lift and Steamboat Resort base area. The shuttle runs consistently from 8am - 10:30am and 2:30pm - 5pm. Shuttle service dates are from December 17th to March 19th.

Loved it

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and had anything you could need. The firepit pictured on the porch is no longer there fyi. We loved the wine left for us and used the snowshoes! We cooked breakfast in every morning and grilled steaks on the patio ones night. Saved a fortune. The bed was very comfortable, we slept upstairs. We did try to sleep downstairs one night but it's a queen and we preferred the king. But the mattress was nice. We used the sauna once and had no trouble.

Great updates and location to Thunderhead Express

This is a nice property that has done updates to make stays comfortable. The condo is larger actually than appears on the site. We comfortable slept in the bedrooms and the cots are nice if you need extra beds. Bathrooms all updated, clean and nice. Location to the lift is key if you want to avoid the chaos that can happen at the base during ski season. Location is also nice and quiet. Couple things that would be nice. Better shuttle hours, 4:45 is quick to catch shuttle from base if you want to have a beverage or snack after skiing. Also would be nice to have an on-call shuttle to get downtown or around Steamboat Springs. Also, need a larger coffee maker, current one is way too small. Overall would highly recommend this property.

Perfect stay!

As someone who travels frequently and has stayed in many VRBOs I can say without hesitation that this is one of the best properties I've stayed in. Everything about this place is luxurious. From the high-end bathrooms to the extremely comfortable bedding, no detail has been left unattended. Taking a bath in the upstairs master bathroom was the perfect way to relax after a day of hiking and snowshoeing. The condo is spotless and extremely well stocked, with tons of bedding and blankets for everyone. The kitchen has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. My family especially loved gathering around the cozy fireplace. They even provided games for the family to play by the fireplace. The location was also amazing. It's only a 10 minute walk or a quick shuttle ride to the ski lift and a few minute drive into town. I couldn't think of a better mountain getaway!

Wonderful amenities

Lovely condo near the slopes with ample room for a family. Very responsive management that was quick to get back via email - greatly appreciated.

Would not recommend.

A day before our arrival we were notified that the big stone fireplace featured on the website would not be working for the entire stay of our visit. Since the fireplace is the main source of heat on the first floor we were given the option of a full refund or 2 comped nights stay out of 6 nights we had booked. Suitable alt accommodations did not exist at this list minute so I convinced my girlfriend to stick with this space because of the other amenities that looked amazing, mainly the master bathroom. It had a sauna, gorgeous soaking tub, walk in shower…etc. The hot water heater did not have the capacity to fill the tub enough to soak in before running out of hot water. After 45 minutes, with the sauna set to its highest level it never reached temps high enough to make a person sweat. The walk in shower temperature regulator did not work. You got the hottest temperature and no way to cool it off. We had hoped the luxurious bathroom would have offset our disappointment with the fireplace but we were once again, disappointed. The two space heaters brought in to heat the downstairs sounded like two loud white noise machines running constantly. The blinds in the master bedroom cannot be opened because doing so allows everyone using the main staircase located about 40 feet away to look directly into the bedroom. Other small things like the tv in the master not working, breakers popping from space heaters while making coffee..we will not return nor recommend this property.
