This studio is located on the second floor and features a king-size bed, along with an ocean-view balcony. The condominium is equipped with tile flooring, a complete kitchen, air-conditioning, and complimentary Wifi. Beach towels and chairs are provided for your convenience, and laundry facilities are available onsite. There is ample free parking available for guests. This was so beautiful and such a great deal for the money. The grounds were like a tropical oasis full of lush plants. The bed was comfy and across the street from Lawai Beach!? We had a better time than we thought we would! Thank you! Would totally book again!

The gardens at this property are outstanding. The view off the balcony is wonderful. The air conditioning doesn’t work but there are plenty of fans and the whole wall towards the ocean opens up.

Location was great, lots of amenities nearby; apartment was fine, could have been cleaner; listing included washer/dryer - was actually a community laundry room which was fine; had a maintenance issue with the toilet but property manager got it repaired (affected apartment below); overall a good stay.

Great location and unit

We'll look for this property when we return. The ocean view from the balcony is terrific, AC works well, beach chairs/cooler were realy great to have, and it was perfect for 2 people. This is a great location with easy access to restaurants, a CVS, a shopping center, beaches, and highways

Perfect location for exploring the South Shore. The condominium complex is very well kept up with beautiful landscaping and a very comfortable pool area. The unit we stayed in was towards the back, but had an ocean view from the balcony. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Communications with the host were timely and accurate. He even called us the day after check in to make sure we had everything we needed. What was the best about this property? It was only a two minute walk to beach house!

Great little place

Great for a couple that just needs a shelter and place to sleep. If you want to relax at the room, not recommended. We hike, swim, explore, and are only at the room to sleep. There was no wifi, windows do not fully shut, paper towels stuffed around AC unit, etc. however, safe, laid back, and easy. For the price, this place was great!

Wonderful simple place to stay

I have stayed here before. I love the view from the lanai. It's clean and safe. I slept with the air on because people were on their balconies a 8 am and you can hear everything. I found the noise of the air conditioner better than being woken up. There ate lots of soft towels, a couple beach chairs. Snorkeling is a block away with a boss frogs right next to the lawai snorkel spot. I would stay here again!

Inviting, clean, great location

We arrived to a very clean, well supplied and homey condo! It has an AC that works well. On the dining table, the host left a fresh flower, a package of local coffee and locally made cookies! We have stayed in many VRBO's, but never any gifts left for us. The quality of bath and kitchen towels great. We even noticed the quality of paper towels and t paper was better quality. We appreciated all the extra special touches and decor. We stayed in 4 VRBO 's between Kauai and Big Island over 2.5 weeks, this one was by far the best!

Comfortable place for two week stay

We always like staying in the condos at Prince Kuhio as they are centrally located for south Kauai. Although the place was comfortable enough it could be updated a bit. It is a studio condo which is fine for the two of us. In general the place was clean. The louvre windows on one side of the sliding doors didn't work. We had air conditioning but didn't need it. We appreciated having beach chairs to use at the beach. There was also coolers available, along with snorkeling equipment. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings and being able to see the ocean from our lanai.

This was a nice, slightly dated room in a cozy property with a very helpful and communicative host. We did have a couple of issues though. First there was construction going on in the unit next door for at least two of the 3 days we were there. It was fairly loud and annoying especially during siesta time (on a Saturday and Sunday!) but was not quite to the point of being totally unbearable. We loved having the AC and amenities of the unit. The Bed was fairly comfortable but the main problem was that the curtains did not cover a large eastern facing window that made it impossible to sleep in at all. The sun shines directly in your face at the head of the bed and trying to rig a towel or something to cover it is very difficult. Similarly, the light on the AC unit shines directly in your face at the head of the bed all night. So, between the night light blaring in your face, the light and heat of the very early morning sun, and the afternoon construction, sleeping was heavily impacted. Otherwise the room is situated in a fairly good location within close driving distance of shops, food, etc and a nice view.

One of our favorite places we stayed on the islands!Beautiful grounds with abundant orchids and tropical plants.Condo was very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything we needed. Great snorkeling beach just across the road - we even saw breaching humpback whales from there!Full kitchen had all we needed to make several meals (Hawaii restaurants are expensive!) Laundry on site is great, and VERY convenient, COVERED parking is right next door - Actually better than the condos lot!!Pool area is wonderful- right balance of sun and shade, and plenty of chaises.Short drive to other snorkel spots, Spouting Horn, and airport. Buy your groceries in Lihue, though, because markets are limited on South shore.MUST get white pineapple from a fruit stand on Kauai - may change your life, they are that good!My only criticisms are minor, and not the fault of the hosts - just FYI. First, someone in an adjacent condo was smoking, so we couldn't always enjoy the balcony (tho smoking is prohibited on grounds). Second, Roosters crow at all hours, even before dawn (Island-wide problem, and can'tcontrol the wildlife!) Last, the condo faces East, so you get first light. We were generally up early, but sun might wake you. Excellent communication with hosts, and lovely, convenient, quiet condo. DEFINITELY BOOK THIS ONE!

Needs attention, is a studio

Studio, not a 1 bedroom. Mold in bathroom, cracked sink, trim, etc. Needs paint, cheap bedding, see-through linen, no comfortable chairs, you get the picture. Pros- location, beach chair, umbrella. Bottom line- other units in the building to rent until this one is updated.

Great Locations, Needs Some Updates

The location of the property is fantastic, it really is in a prime spot. The unit itself does need some work. Comparing it to other units we've stayed in at Prince Kuhio, it is in desperate need of a facelift. I will say that for the most part, the unit had everything you need for a comfortable stay. However, we did have to buy a few things for our 3 weeks stay, nothing major but things I would assume would be there. For example, the beach chairs provided need replacing, we chose to rent chairs instead. We were short on hangers in the closet, and we didn't have a whole lot to hang. It comes down to a whole lot of small details that really and truly make a huge impression. I am not fussy, nor do I have high expectations, but someone else might and that's why I am choosing to share my experience, good and bad. With that being said, we are forever grateful for people who open up their homes to us tourists and give us a place to call home while on island. Mahalo nui loa for sharing your home with us.

Very nice 2 weeks. Would have liked a month or 2. Went to farmers markets, Waimea canyon, ishihara market in Waimea for Poke, porkys for bbq, bookstore in Hanapepe, spouting horn, Allerton gardens, wailua falls, the beach at end of road for sunset, takes 40 minutes to go 3 miles, need a Jeep,

Appartamento molto bello.

L'appartamento era molto grande e ben fornito, in posizione comodissima per raggiungere tutte le spiagge dell'isola. Lasciava a desiderare la pulizia dell'appartamento, calcolando che vengono richiesti 100 dollari per la pulizia mi aspettavo di più.
