Perfect Beach Cottage

Other than a very wet beginning our stay was excellent. House was very conveniently located. The only thing that would have made it better would have been stairs to main level inside the house. With the wet beginning we waded out to go up to kitchen.

Amazing Property

Great house in the perfect location. It felt like home away from home and the whole process was the best I have had renting a each house in years! I would recommend this place to anyone heading to the area.

The sunroom is a delightful place to read and nap, the kitchen could not be better stocked, and the location is ideal for a quick beach walk between showers. As always, the Mermaids provided exemplary communication and ease—and even a delicious cake for our anniversary celebration. Thank you, Mermaids!

Great Beach Getaway

Very close to beach and pier. Renting a golf cart made it a lot easier to get around on the island. Tammy with Mermaid Cottages was absolutely amazing to work with.

Memorial Day week

Great property. Not far to walk to the beach. Parking was very tight and difficult to get in an out with a full size truck. This was the only downside. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time at Clamdigger. The house was just we needed. My husband and our 2 boys (9/12) stayed upstairs and our in-laws loved the apartment downstairs. We lived on the front porch from coffee to cocktails. We walked all through the neighborhoods and into town. The beach and river were close so no need to get in the car. The house vibe we perfect retro vacation vibes. Can’t wait to come back.

Old school new

The vibe was eclectic and fun in this house. Wonderful location. Easy and quick walk to the beach. Great communication with host. Loved spinning records and spending time on the porch. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had all we needed.

Overall it’s a good stay near beach. Faced issue with downstairs toilet sink but they fixed it immediately, once i raised a concern. House is clean and good.

Walkable to the beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of this home is unique, but it’s absolutely perfect for a vacation rental—especially for our blended family trip. We loved the concrete area downstairs where we could shake off sand and store all of our beach essentials before splitting up to shower in either the downstairs suite or the upstairs bathroom.The sunroom/dining area features a large table that was perfect for family meals and late-night board games, and the kitchen has plenty of space for everyone to gather and keep the cook company while meals are being prepared.This area of the island is quiet and relaxing, and there were almost always lifeguards on duty at 18th Street, which gave us extra peace of mind. One of our favorite spots in the house was the upstairs screened-in porch. The comfortable couches and chairs, along with the ceiling fan, made it the perfect place to relax in the shade, enjoy the breeze, and read a book after a long beach day.Also—the beds in this rental are incredible. After spending hours in the sun and surf, we slept like the dead every night.We come to Tybee Island every summer for a week, and this is the second time I’ve rented this home. We absolutely love it, and the kids are already asking if we can stay here again next year.Thank you again to the Mermaids for taking care of us for the 6th year in a row!

Perfect Beach Cottage

We absolutely loved our stay! Mermaid Cottages was a dream to work with (excellent communication and customer service!) and the property was stunning! Such a cute retro beach vibe cottage in close proximity to the beach! The room set up was perfect for the 2 families we had - 2 nice rooms for the adults and 1 room that the kids shared. The 2 living room areas as well as the screened in porch area gave us plenty of options on places to hang out and spend time together. Kitchen was spacious and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook the groceries we brought with us and the complementary sample pack of Perc coffee was such a nice treat! We will definitely be back and will recommend to others!

Wonderful Stay

The downstairs room was perfect for my newlywed nephew and niece in law. Totally wel-appointed kitchen, and plenty of visiting rooms. The outside porch was where we stayed for most of the stay.
