Amazing Oceanview & Mountain View 3BR / 2. 5BA - Makahuena Unit # 4308

Vores Condo ansigter sydøst med en uhæmmet udsigt over bjergene, Shipwreck Rock og, selvfølgelig, den smukke Stillehav. I vintermånederne, kan du se hvaler brud lige fra vores lanai!

I lejligheden er på tre niveauer. Den første sal har en halv bad, køkken, spisestue og opholdsstue og selvfølgelig vores dejlige Lanai. En af vores specielle funktioner på denne etage er en side cut vindue, der giver mulighed for en kommanderende udsigt over havet, mens man sidder på sofaen. Ingen anden enhed på Makahuena har denne unikke funktion! Køkkenet har alle apparater i rustfrit stål.

På anden sal er soveværelse med en lignende side cut vindue, der tillader en at vågne op med havet i syne. Det store soveværelse er blevet opgraderet med nye møbler og en premium madras. Føreren bad har en tur i brusebad med smukke glas blokering og flise. Også på denne etage er endnu et soveværelse med to enkeltsenge (som kan trækkes sammen til 1 Queen) og en anden fuld bad med bruseniche.

Vores tredje etage "loft" har en queen size seng med en ekspansiv vindue tilbyder uhindret udsigt over bjergene og havet. Selv 3. sal betragtes som en "loft", betyder det ikke passer formen af ​​traditionelle lofts. Vi sætter pris på layoutet især fordi soveværelserne er på forskellige etager fra stuen. Det giver en lidt privatliv og ro, mens andre kan være socialt samvær.

Det er en kort gåtur til alle de faciliteter, som Grand Hyatt Resort samt til de nærliggende strande Brennecke s, skibbrud, de beskyttede farvande i Baby Beach, og den berømte Poipu Beach, som blev opkaldt Americas Best Beach af Travel Channel.

For alle jer spændingssøgende er vores condo beliggende i nærheden af nogle af de bedste surf-pauser i den sydlige kyst, herunder PK'er, Waiohai (rettigheder og lefts), Left Lefts og Brennecke's Beach, som er en fantastisk strandferie til boogie boarding og body surfing ! Sørg også for at tjekke de cliff jumpere på Shipwreck Beach (du kan se klinten fra vores lanai!). Nukomoi Surf Co. i Poipu har nogle gode brædder til leje og har nogle morderhandler på ugentlige huslejer.

The location of this unit is exemplary, with an unobstructed southwest view. It is an older complex, but this unit is in excellent shape and well-cared for. It is on the fourth level of the complex, but access from the parking lot is up an easy one and a half flights of stairs. There are three levels. The first level is the kitchen, dining area and family room with a half bath and laundry area. Level two has the master bedroom (with ensuite), bedroom two with two twin beds and a full bathroom. Third level is a loft with a queen bed. Bonus is a closet stuffed with beach chairs, snorkeling gear and a couple of body boards. This place was comfortable, clean and decently appointed. Lack of AC is the only negative, so watch out for those hot summer months. There are ceiling and stand up fans in every room to keep the air moving, though. All in all, an excellent stay that made me happy.

Wonderful view in great location

Loved the condo and building. Pool and hot tub were so nice, the view from the condo was amazing and in a great location. Condo was very clean and a nice layout.

I wished there had been a sandy beach, the floors were filthy, so we wore our flip flops all the time, the patio furniture was not cleaned, you really really need AC, as we’re never coming back there! But the condo would’ve been great if it had been cool inside! Loved the rooms and the layout was good!

Christmas in Poipu

Excellent place to spend the holidays. While we had more wind and rain than expected, the location was very good, with the beach a short walk or drive away. The walking trail was right outside for a spectacular walk to Shipwreck beach. The property was very well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Family vacation

The proper met our needs in cleanliness and comfort. It slept the six of us very comfortably and it was located in an area close to the beach and shopping. Although there was no air conditioning, the ocean breezes were definitely cool enough for comfort and ease for seeping. We were very satisfied with our time in this home.

Shippy’s overlook

Great view and location! A perfect place to lay our heads, cook, and relax. Beaches in walking distance. Property is a bit weathered due to being so close to salt water and wind. However, updates and remodels are on the way. We felt very comfortable and they have coolers and beach chairs to borrow. Tennis and pickle ball court, outdoor grilling, pool, and hot tub all available to guests.

Very old property

Multiple flight of stairs to the unit. Three flights of stairs to the pool. No elevator, no cell service, beds were very old. Kitchen supplies are old and mis-matched. The unit was hot and humid even with all the fans running. This was my 6th visit to Kauai. Never again at this property.

The Bride's Family

What amazing views! Every morning, we had coffee and breakfast on the lanai and watched the waves crash on the rocks. Our first evening there we watched the full moon rise over the ocean. We enjoyed walks to Shipwreck Beach or Poipu Beach. The condo is clean bright and airy. It is located close to everything on the south end of the island and easy driving to the north shore. . The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and we even grilled out one evening. The gardens were beautiful and the common areas were well maintained. The owners and office staff were very helpful. This was our first trip to Kauai- our daughter was getting married on the beach. The wedding and reception exceeded all expectations, Kauai was spectacular! Family menbers who stayed at other condos were in awe of our space and views. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend this spot to others!

For a VRBO in Kauai I expected better for $275/night. The furniture and kitchen were outdated, the towels were old and the kitchen was not very well stocked, not to mention, it just felt dingy and dirty throughout. I also thought carpet in the bedroom and the stairway needed to be replaced and was very dirty. We were told a crib would be provided and confirmed this days before arrival, and no crib was anywhere to be found. A great breeze throughout made the lack of AC no issue at all.

We apologize you felt the kitchen was not very well stocked and you found the furniture to be out dated. We have made it a point to be as specific as possible on our website with a list of kitchen items that we feel are the most commonly requested. We are also very accommodating if we receive feedback while the guest is still in the condo as sometimes things go missing/are unaccounted for and we would have been more than happy to have our property manager replace anything of the like or even provide something additional that we don't normally stock. We are consistently making updates within the condo and feel we have fairly represented the current furnishings in our website photos. We do in fact have a crib in the condo. It is kept in our owner's closet. I apologize if you found it was not out upon your arrival, but had you contacted us we would have been able to have someone over there right away to help you with the crib. Again, we sincerely apologize that you felt the condo was not up to the standards you had hoped for. We do our very best to accommodate our guests in any way possible as long as we are aware of their concerns when we still have time to remedy the situation. Great place to stay with breath taking views

It was an amazing place to stay. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets seen from the lanai. I would stay again. Only downfall, if you need something shipped to you, make sure you ask for the key to the mailbox ahead of time. I was unaware that I would not have access to the mailbox of the condo I rented for a week. I had my dress for a wedding I was attending shipped there and I could not access it since the key was in another state. To me, that just doesn’t make sense, the complex office should have a key for instances such as this. My dress matched my family perfectly and I had to wear something completely different because no one had access to the box. It was very upsetting. Other than that, the stay was great!

Big, Breezy Ocean Views for Family

This Makahuena Unit made a comfortable headquarters for our Kauai adventures and explorations and was a destination in its own right. Most days started and ended on the lanai watching huge splashes from the waves against the rocks, clouds breaching the horizon, and Mynas, Nenes, and red-crested cardinals going about their business. Makahuena Point is breezy and having that airflow through the rooms kept the temperature pleasant. We did not lack a thing and there was space to be alone or gather for meals and games. Very special time for our family.

Beautiful Views but needs upgrades

Beautiful views and great location. Needs upgrades and cleaned better. Not all electrical outlets were functional and some sparked when you plug in a devices. We stopped charging our devices at the location for fear it they would be fried. Some of the decor should be tossed as they show years of use. Beds were very uncomfortable. We left a night early. This location has great potential. If it got the loved and upgrades needed, it would be an great 360 experience. Sorry.

Great location !

Firstly love this location, close to everything and gorgeous ocean views. Condo was very clean but needs updating, broken cabinets, broken sink drains, nothing major but just would improve place. Also a/c would have been welcome, we had strong winds and couldn’t even have windows open so it got quite hot. I would not recommend this complex to anyone with mobility issues, one member in our party broke his ankle first week of holidays and found there is so many stairs here, up to suite, within suite. Absolutely charming if you have no issues but this proved challenging. Complex is not handicap friendly. The owners were lovely to deal with through all these years of Covid bookings and changes and offered helpful suggestions to us for our stay. I would recommend this place as for everything it offers the price reflects the updates needed and it was very reasonable.

So wonderful!

Such a great property with excellent location, views, and amenities. Our group of 6 (3 adults, 3 young teens) loved this property. We watched the sun rise each day from the lanai, and the sunset set each day from the pool. The house was well equipped with recreational equipment; we used the tennis court daily, as well as enjoyed the many many walking and running opportunities. Having both a kitchen and laundry in the house were wonderful. Thank you for letting us enjoy this property.

Great location- beautiful views

Great info provided prior to arrival. Condo is 3 levels with the 1/2 bath, Laundry, kitchen and living room on main Level. Beds were very comfortable, condo was extremely well equipped with everything from puzzles/games, beach gear to the kitchen amenities (and everything in between.) During our stay, the front door lock malfunctioned and Evelyn was very responsive! Maintenance was working on it within 10 minutes and the next day a new lock was installed. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to stay again. (We left a note that one light was burnt out on staircase).

Great location and comfortable accommodations

This is a great condo in a fabulous location. The pictures of the condo are accurate, except the grass outside looks dry and dead. That should not deter anyone from staying here. The lanai had gorgeous sunrise views and the sliding doors allowed for fabulous cross breezes. Truth be told that the condo could use some updating but we spent more time at the beach and exploring than in the condo. Regardless, the condo was comfortable and relaxing. The location was perfect for us. It was 30 minutes to Glass Beach, 1 hour to Koke'e State Park (stop for poke at Ishihara's Market in Pakala Village), and a little over an hour to Hanalei (stop for lunch at Olympic Cafe in Kapa'a). The condo is between Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach. I wouldn't walk to either beach but the drive was 5 minutes to each. We did not have trouble finding parking but we were there during the week. Overall, we didn't have any issues with the condo, management was responsive to my immediate need for help getting in.
