A beautiful Victorian home just steps from downtown Freeport. A beautiful meadow right out the back door and we were lucky to be there during raspberry season with raspberry bushes right out the back door! The bathroom was updated with modern fixtures as was the kitchen. It is a very quiet neighborhood and we felt very safe. The bed was comfortable and the room air conditioner kept us cool at night. We would definitely stay here again!

I can't praise the host & home enough. Very spacious and just about anything you need is provided. The home is very clean and the setting is peaceful!! Hosts were extremely flexible even allowing us to come early if needed when having problems finding a hotel on our long drive to Maine. They communicated beautifully. Thanks again for everything!!

We enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect, close to shops and restaurants. The space was larger than we anticipated. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is lovely. Check in was easy and Amy was very responsive. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Freeport.

Visit old home town

Nice to stay in old neighborhood. Very convenient walk to downtown. Pleasant and quaint neighborhood.

Historic Freeport Victorian

This is the second year that my husband and I have stayed at Mary’s Manor. The host, Amy, is wonderful to work with and I would not hesitate to book again next year. The location, remodeled kitchen and bath, and intriguing history of the property certainly are all positive draws!

Ideal Freeport Victorian

This was the third time that my husband and I stayed at this historic Victorian in downtown Freeport. The location is ideal, allowing us to walk freely to and from the shops and restaurants during our stay. Over the past three years, the owner has made some wonderful updates that she communicated freely ahead of travel season and were appreciated during our stay. We hope to book again next year for our vacation!

This house is very deceiving, Yes, it is a Victorian house but all the windows are new so no drafts. The bathroom is totally remodeled complete with a walk in shower with bench seating. The kitchen is modern with new fridge, induction stove, pots, pans, flatware, cookware and glassware! The heating system is new and works wonderfully. It is railroad style so you enter into the kitchen,walk thru the dining room (bathroom door is there) and back to the studio/living roomIf you are staying in Freeport proper you can walk everywhere. Close to the highway- we went to Portland (18 miles) and all the way to Bar Harbor (3hrs) to hike Acadia. Amy is a pleasure to deal with and stayed in constant communication with us to make sure we were settled in.Here is an example. The main room has a piano and I mentioned I was there for a musicians get together/jam. She had the piano tuned for me!We are planning to stay here next year and highly recommend this property and host to anyone

Stay Here!

Lovely property right in Freeport near restaurants, shopping. Modern kitchen and bathroom still match the Victorian vibe of the property. I would definitely stay here again and is well worth the price for what you get, especially compared to the hotel chains in this area that leave much to be desired. The host is very accommodating and I appreciated her quick response to my needs and questions.

The host was very accommodating and communicative throughout the stay, which I really appreciated. The house itself was lovely—located in a quiet neighborhood and perfect for a relaxing stay. It’s only about 20 minutes from downtown Portland, so the location worked out great. The only minor downside was the washer/dryer combo, which was a bit confusing to use, but to be fair, the host had mentioned that ahead of time. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return!

Beautiful Victorian walkable to downtown

My husband and I came here for the Freeport Fall Festival for our babymoon! The home was historic and beautiful. It was such an easy walk to Main Street that we really never left the area. Amy was so sweet and accommodating and easily reachable although we had no issues. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone we know and we would be happy to stay again!

My repeat stay

This was my second time staying at this recently opened property. It's a really nice space -- an eat-in-kitchen leading into a dining room, which is adjacent to a bedroom with couch and even a piano! Top notch renovation, with all necessities provided, and the hosts will get right back with you if you need anything. They're continuing to add new amenities and the property is located in a quiet residential area -- you can hear a pin drop at night! Highly recommended for one or two people looking for a homey home away from home!

A Home Away from Home

As one of the first guests of this newly renovated property, I was more than pleased with the quality of the space -- three rooms in a gorgeous Queen Anne style home, close to all that Freeport has to offer. This is a quiet, private unit with lots of elbow room. The eat-in kitchen has top-notch appliances and finishes, as does the large tiled bathroom. There's plenty of air and light, and for summer visitors, a great garden surrounding the space. This apartment will only get more attractive with time, as its owners continue to add to it. I plan on returning and look forward to it!

Booked this for Parents Weekend at Bowdoin when all the places there were booked or ridiculously priced. I was a little confused by the description as being a studio but there were pictures of other rooms including a full kitchen and dining room that are all for the people staying there. The kitchen and bathroom seem to be recently remodeled. The house is classic in its layout. You are sleeping in what would probably be considered a living room at the front of the house, but the street is quiet and there are black out curtains that keep it nice and dark, which is great when you are coming from the West Coast. Easy walking to the stores in Freeport and not a bad drive from Brunswick or Portland.

Historical Victorian

My husband and I were the first couple to stay at this rental. We had a wonderful time, the host was great to work with, and the updates to the first floor of this home (the rented accommodations) have been done very thoughtfully. Now, to be clear, no one lives on the second floor of this home. The host is slowly working to update this area throughout the year when time allows and in between rentals; this is also stated in the posting. The location of this home is perfect for walking to many of the shopping locations in Freeport. With ease of access, cleanliness, communication, and our interest in home projects, this is definitely on our list to return to in future years!

A lovely quiet space- right in the middle of Freeport but you’d never know it until you went the few steps toward Main St. We felt like we were staying in a piece of history. Some of the furnishings could be improved for comfort but we would certainly return.
