Charming Victorian Guest House in the Heart of Freeport

Stay in this charming 1906 Victorian home, thoughtfully updated with modern amenities while preserving its original character. Located just a 5–10 minute walk from downtown Freeport, you’ll be close to the L.L.Bean flagship store, shops, restaurants, and more. Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park and Winslow Park beach are both less than a 15-minute drive away.

A gravel pathway from the driveway leads to your private back porch and entrance. Enjoy views of the field behind the house, where you may spot robins, American goldfinches, and the occasional cardinal.

Inside, the entrance room offers storage shelves with board games and other items. The original wooden door leads into a bright, modern kitchen, fully equipped with dishes, cookware, utensils, flatware, a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and stove with an induction cooktop. Three windows fill the kitchen with natural light.

The kitchen opens into an inviting dining room featuring beautiful original woodwork, large windows, burnt-orange curtains, a Tiffany lamp, and an original glass cabinet. The thermostat is located here for easy temperature control. During warmer months, air conditioning is available in the dining room and living/bedroom area, with box fans also provided.

Pocket doors separate the dining room from the cozy living room/bedroom. Bay windows bring in plenty of natural light, while blackout curtains provide privacy and help create a comfortable sleeping environment. The king-size bed is made with cotton sheets and includes both firm and soft pillows. A smart TV and upright piano complement the room’s beautiful woodwork and original fireplace tiles. Please note: fires are not permitted.

The small bathroom features a black-and-white tiled floor and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower. A compact European-style all-in-one washer/dryer is also provided.
