We really enjoyed our stay and thought the house was adorable and charming inside. The outdoor shower was fantastic, and the front patio was lovely. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. There were just a few things that didn’t quite match our expectations from the description. For a house that sleeps eight, the indoor seating was a bit mismatched, with only the couch and one chair being comfortable for relaxing together. The kitchen was very well stocked, but many of the utensils and cookware were older and pretty worn. The backyard also felt a little unkempt, with a fire pit that was falling apart and some debris/partially burned logs. The bikes and beach chairs were a nice amenity but were quite rusty. The location is also on a busy road and directly behind an Ocean State Job Lot, rather than the neighborhood setting we had pictured.Overall, we had a nice stay and the house has a lot of charm. It’s just always a little tricky choosing a rental without seeing it in person, and a few aspects of the property were different from what we expected based on the listing. Hopefully the feedback is helpful for future guests and the owners.
