Relax at this peaceful place to stay right on the lake. Prime location off the main road but tucked into one of the many quiet coves, this home is perfect for family fun, quiet reflection and all the surrounding area offers! The main living area flows onto the top deck with comfortable outdoor seating. Lower deck has an outdoor table with BBQ. A bit down the lake path hosts a firepit with seating. Continue down to the lake dock to kayaks and chairs that you can enjoy morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and all day lake fun! The home's proximity to the main road makes it easy to leave and enjoy all that Lake Lure and the surrounding areas has to offer OR stay put and relax with your gas fireplace and well stocked lake home! *This is a non-smoking property, outside and in. ***We have an EXTERIOR SECURITY CAMERA on this property. It is on the driveway facing the parking area and road for your protection and ours.***

Great weekend getaway!

We LOVED this property for a mom/daughter getaway. The home is immaculate, the host was very delightful and accommodating, and the views are so nice. We will definitely revisit!

Great Stay!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving at Eric's house! It was well stocked with all of our cooking needs - they even provided trash bags and toiletries in the bathrooms (which is rare for a rental these days). The location was perfect and very close to Ingles and Chimney Rock. We would definitely stay again!

Great Lake location

Our visit was off season so not much lake activity but it was a great location!! 2 great restaurants nearby and close to alot of activities. We had a great stay here

I could have lived on the porch!

We had a lovely few days at the lake as a family. We all lived on the porch and completely relaxed. It was great!

Peaceful and comfortable

House is beautiful, comfortable and well stocked. Small touches were appreciated like the spice rack in the kitchen and the dog bowls. We spent many hours on the upper porch - so peaceful! We enjoyed floating in the cool water of the cove.

Comfortable lake house

We had a great weekend at this comfortable lake house. Plenty of space for our group and a beautiful view of the lake. Fire pit, dock and patios were perfect for us! Besides a little hitch in getting in the house it was a perfect weekend. Owner was prompt on getting back to me if I had any issues or questions. Beds were comfortable for everyone also. Kitchen is well stocked. Would rent again!

Comfort and Quiet

My family stayed for 2 nights and none of us had any complaints. The area was quiet and certainly safe. The views were great. The house is exactly like it is described. We had plenty of room and everything we could need was provided. We took advantage of the grill on the back deck overlooking the lake. The beds were very comfortable, I slept like a baby. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat.

Comfortable and roomy

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the house. It was very clean, spacious, and stocked with items that we normally don't find in VRBO rentals (paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish washer soap, washer/dryer supplies, shampoo, and body soap). It was so great to not have to run to the grocery for these basics! Location in Lake Lure is good- the house is in a private cove, but close to grocery store and some restaurants, The house is set pretty far back from the lakefront- so be prepared to walk down and up lots of stairs. There is also a narrow spiral staircase inside the house which was a little difficult to walk down for an older family member. Otherwise, we enjoyed the house and would recommend it to others.

Perfect Getaway

An awesome stay with tons do to. The location was ideal and easy to get to the boat rental spot down the street. The house was clean and had all the amenities needed. I would stay here again.

QUIET AND NICE PLACE TO STAY

QUIET COVE FOR SWIMMING. LOTS OF STEPS TO THE WATER BUT WE ALL NEED SOME STEPS. REALLY NICE HOUSE WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED.

Quiet spot, well appointed

Owners were very responsive and have a very nice home with extras like lake towels and robes. Comfy beds and super nice that they allow pets. Great location!!

Beautiful!

House is beautiful and well represented by the pictures. We had a great time and enjoyed hiking at Chimney Rock and the next day we walked the trails at Buffalo Creek Park. The town of Lake Lure this time of year is cute and friendly. Surprisingly, the food at the various restaurants was reasonably priced. Little things that matter were much appreciated at the lake home. The water was drinkable! Not sure if they have a filter installed etc but we could get glasses of water out of the tap and drink it without issue. Our kids loved the TV’s In every room. We said no electronics on the trip, but did watch a show in the evenings and the one morning when it was raining pretty hard. Very cute selection of books and they have a VHS player with tons of tapes for the kids. Our kids are a bit older now or we would have enjoyed those. (We enjoyed telling the kids about how when we were younger and wanted to watch a movie, we had to go to Blockbuster to rent the tape!) Both showers are nicely tiled and new fixtures - with plenty of hot water. Kitchen has very nice appliances and plenty of dishes. The only disappointment was the Lake - It’s empty! Apparently this happens every 4-5 years to perform upkeep of the dam. It was cold enough that we would not have been in the water anyway. The kids enjoyed finding “artifacts” in the mud including the remnants of a Rush CD, Goofy figurine and a juice glass. As they were looking in the lake bed, I was reminded of a book I just read, “The Body in the Dam” by TB Brown. No dead bodies however:-) We just got home and all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!!

Awesome place

The only problem with this place is that we couldn’t stay longer… it is clean, a lot of space For our family, Eric was available all time to answer our questions… will rent this property without any doubts in my next vacations for next summer.

Hidden Gem

The owner's title details this home perfectly. A home away from home with qualities like none other. From walking into the house to the spiral staircase, the fireplace, plenty of room for large family affair/social gathering or even a solo gig! Communication with the host definitely made this trip remarkable. My family and I arrived very late in the evening, driving was pretty challenging especially in unknown territory, definitely best to get directions/address prior to arriving. Mountains though very exciting and beautiful can be very scary due to no street lighting. Grocery store near, dollar general and a few other cities close vicinity. Definitely an amazing stay. Eric was truly amazing!
