Welcome to our log cabin in the woods! Ideally located at the end of the street with access to Saxon Creek trail and endless acres of forest and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing from the front door. What we love about this home is the privacy and the feeling of being in the mountains and woods, with views of tall pines from inside, including from some of the bedrooms. Spread out between the two open-concept living areas, soak in the hot tub, find yourself in a competitive game of pool, warm up by one of the two stone fireplaces, prepare a meal for family in the custom kitchen, or just be lazy and lay around on our large sectional and watch a game or a movie. Although tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town, the cabin is also only 8 miles from town and 7 miles to Lake Tahoe, with very easy access to Heavenly, Sierra at Tahoe, beaches, grocery stores, and restaurants,

2,846 square foot higher end 4BR / 2.5BA home is allowed 15 guests (10 guest, plus up to 5 additional children under 5 years old and younger). There are 9 beds (including the 2 twin rollaway beds) and sleeping arrangements for 12. Reach out to us about sleeping options if you have more than 12 guests in your group.

KITCHEN:
Fully equipped kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and everything needed to prepare a holiday feast! A large island separates it and the great room, making the space perfect for gathering and entertaining.

The dining table with seating for 8 (with extra seating at the island) is perfect for gathering with friends and family over a home-cooked meal.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
* Absolutely no fires of any sort are allowed on the property or in the Tahoe basin.
* No pets allowed at any time
* No more than 10 guests plus up to 5 additional children 5 years old and younger are allowed in the home, at any time.
* Per the local El Dorado County ordinance, noise must be kept respectful at all times, especially between the 10pm and 8am quiet period.
* The county doesn't allow hot tub use between 10pm and 8am
* 5 cars MAX - No exception. No street parking per county ordinance - could result in towing and major fines
* Please put trash in on-site bear box
* Surveillance: may have camera for monitoring the driveway and exterior of the home for safety and security purposes. No monitoring inside. May also have decibel monitoring devices (nothing decreeable) to ensure we're in compliance with the local noise ordenance. See NoiseAware's website for more information on these.
* Early checkins / late checkouts may be allowed with authorization (extra fees likely apply). Failure to follow checkin and out times will result fines. Following this schedule is critically important to the service team's operations, as they are typically on tight schedules.

We expect all guests to be respectful, mature, and responsible. There is a zero tolerance policy abusive and negligent guests, loud groups, etc. If you want to squeeze 25 people into a house and party hard, this is not it. This is a tasteful, and well appointed home - please treat it as your own.

This said, we are open to mature individuals who want to party but know how to treat other people and their things with respect. NO LOUD or LATE PARTIES.

Guests agree to comply with El Dorado County's Vacation Home Rental ordinances and our rental agreement (emailed separately), and failing to do so, or violation of home rules in the listing, may result in egregious penalties, forfeiture of security deposit, and even eviction. GUEST COVID-19 NOTICE:
We have developed a COVID-19 Plan which includes several additional measures and modifications to our operations and policies to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Some of these are identified below. Despite these efforts, we cannot eliminate the risk of COVID-19 transmission so please be extremely cautious and careful and travel at your own risk!
* Best Practice: Please wash hand thoroughly, especially when leaving or entering home. Use sanitizer where available as extra measure. Be mindful of guidance for physical distancing and use of face coverings when in public.
* Symptomatic / Positive Test: If you are knowingly / suspected to be infected with COVID-19 please contact us right away. Extra measures will be taken in such cases.
* Increased Surface Cleaning and Disinfecting: Surfaces and highly touched items are cleaned and dis-infected
* Vacuum cleaner w/ HEPA filter: we have supplemented vacuum inventory with additional HEPA filter vacuums and staff are instructed to use these.
* Linens and Trash: Sheets and towels are professionally laundered every-time, and trash is hauled off site promptly.
* Staff Policy: Staff are instructed not to work if exhibiting symptoms.
* Comforters: A fresh comforter casing system every booking.
