Cozy Capitol Hill Apt 1 Minute Walk To Metro w/Parking

Beautifully updated 1 bedroom English basement apartment (approx. 800 sq ft) in our 1920’s home. Guests will have access to the entire apartment which includes 2 private entrances (front and rear), kitchen, dining room, coffee bar, bathroom, dedicated workspace, living area, bedroom and 1 off-street parking spot (with the exception a locked owner's closet) . The apartment is completely separated with its own separate central A/C & heating system that you control. We are less than a 1 minute walk to the Stadium Armory metro stop.

Booking with us includes FREE DIY BREAKFAST which includes a waffle maker, mini pancake griddle, pancake/waffle mix, grits, oatmeal, breakfast bars, water, etc.

We are located less than a mile away from over 30 local restaurants, bars, grocery/convenience stores, parks, recreational fields and more.

The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, full size appliances, etc. There is also a fully stocked coffee bar with a Keurig coffee machine, K-cups, tea, etc. The dining room has seating for 4. There is a dedicated work space with a desk and there is WiFi in the home and a printer. The living room has a queen size sofa bed, 42" Smart TV (with free Netflix & Hulu). There is a full bathroom (that has a tub/shower combo) that is stocked with toiletries, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, etc. The bedroom is an intimate space that has a double bed and full size closet as well as a washer and dryer. There are also an additional closet available for guest’s use.

We are located directly across the street from the Silver/Blue/Orange Metro lines.

***For security Purposes, we have Ring cameras on our parking pad and at the front door of the apartment. We also have a doorbell camera on the exterior of the home at the rear exit. There are NO cameras anywhere inside of the home.***

Great Booking and Location

The owners were wonderful and the place was very clean and nice. The area was safe and the location was absolutely perfect for the sightseeing we cane to do. I would absolutely recommend booking this for your family's trip to D.C.

Above and Beyond

Quenton and Teri went above and beyond to provide all of the comforts of home, from coffee to snacks, towels to toiletries, even a washer/dryer and cold beverages upon arrival. The apartment is conveniently located directly across the street to the Metro, which made navigating the city extremely convenient. We highly recommend this oasis in DC!

Loved the location so near to the metro station, our feet appreciated it at the end of a long day of walking. We also appreciated the snacks and cold drinks in the fridge when we arrived. The washing machine was a great bonus!

Perfect Location

My family had a great time staying here while we visited DC. The convenient location right next to the Metro was top notch and made getting around so easy and the Metro cards we could borrow were a great bonus. Communication was excellent and all the extra touches like the game wall and breakfast options made our stay great. We would definitely stay here again next time we come back.

Amazing space and hosts!

Teri and Quenten are the best hosts we have ever had! They made sure everything was as smooth and comfortable as possible. They also recommended some delicious restaurants and ice cream shops. They are both very friendly, wonderful hosts. They made sure we had everything stocked and ready for our week. We highly recommend staying with these two and enjoying your stay in DC knowing you will have a safe, clean space to come back too.

Cozy, clean, & convenient

Comfortable & cozy. Right across from the metro rail & bus stops. Just parked our car on the parking pad then used the convenient public transportation system for our entire stay. The property owners were very nice and helpful.

This house is right on the metro to downtown and the RR airport. It was easy to get to everything. The house is well stocked and we bought groceries and went from there The hosts are great and even let us check out later because our friends were going to be a bit late

Excellent Stay

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. Communication with the hosts was excellent. The basement apartment was very clean and was accurately described in the description and pictures. It is in a convenient location, with the Metro station literally across the street. This made getting to all of the sites a breeze! The off-street parking spot was the best perk for us. We would stay here again!

Welcoming and well located

We stayed for 6 nights in this lovely little basement apartment, with all the amenities of home. It couldn't have been better, located. It was right across from metro station, so door to DC center was 15 minutes. Helpful for touring and museums. Best part was our helpful, generous hosts. Would come back in an instant!

Metro powered tour of DC

I can't imagine there is more convenient access to a Metro station than what we had here. The apartment is directly across from a station, less than 1 minute walk. We drove in, parked our car by the door (for free) and for about $5 per person each day we road the metro to all of the big DC memorials and attractions. The coffee and breakfast items provided by the hosts were an unexpected delightful bonus.

Wow! What an awesome DC rental spot!

My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about the property. Extremely cozy, clean, great climate control and - above all - the location is amazing. Set out from downtown DC, it is right across the street from a Metro subway stop. I’m 65 years old and I can literally throw a rock when exiting the station.and hit the side of the rental!! And no noise from the Metro, either. When we go back to DC, we both agree this is exactly where we will stay. It’s NOT necessary for us to look for another stay spot in the District of Columbia - EVER. Thanks to our wonderful hosts!!

My husband and I are originally from down south (Alabama & Texas), but we've been living in the DC area for about 12 years now. We've been hosts for short term rentals for almost a couple of years now. I am in real estate and my husband is an engineer. We love spending time in and around DC.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

Our home is also a quintessential 100 year old DC row home. It is a legal 2 unit-multifamily home (duplex), so we actually live on site and are here if you need anything. We absolutely love the location of this property. It's conveniently located directly across the street from the metro so you don't need a car. There are over 30 local spots (eateries, bars, parks, outdoor recreational spaces, grocery/convenience stores) that you can walk to within 5-20 minutes. Also, our home is an end unit property, so we get so much more natural light that floods the home.

We are on the orange/blue/silver lines which will take you directly to 2 local area airports (DCA and IAD) as well as take you to BWI with a connection. If you choose to bring a car, we've got space for you to park. I love that we are not in the middle of the super busy restaurant and bar strips, but we can walk to many local area spots within 5-20 minutes. We are also walking distance to a number of parks and outdoor recreational areas. Our location also allows easy access in-and-out of the district, so you can be in Maryland within a 7 minute drive of our home and you can be in Virginia within a 10-15 minute drive from our home. The location couldn't be better.
