Great Views/Fully Accommodating

Best views - the wrap-around deck alone is worth it, no A/C required due to ocean breeze. Honeymoon beach is spectacular. 7 adults there for a week, ended up spending 5 days at Honeymoon Beach and 2 days of excursions, fishing and snorkeling in St Thomas & St John. Also, don't worry about appliances....they have more than your own house ++

Exceptional in every way

I can not think of one thing that I can complain about. The house was clean. The showers had great water pressure. You had plenty of beach toys, chairs, and towels for us to use. The view and breeze were nothing short of amazing. I loved it. One of my best vacations ever. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place for such a reasonable price. Sincerely, Earle and Sherri Wood

Need a new alphabet!

There are not enough letters in the alphabet to adequately praise this house. Change your travel dates so you can stay here. We have never been in a nicer rental or one which is nearly so well equipped. We anticipated good and were still delighted, sometimes astonished. All our varied needs were met. Read the descriptions; 270 degree views are only the beginning of the delight. The only lack is you will have to rent a cart.

Wonderful vacation

Flamingo Point is everything you want in a vacation rental, except no air conditioning, they have fabulous ceiling fans and extra fans for each room. The house is sitting in a spectacular location with views for miles. The 4 bedrooms with king beds were all comfortable. They have everything you need waiting for you, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, beach towels etc. The house is well stocked with most anything you could need. Our family was sad to see our vacation come to an end. We all highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for opening your home.

Our Fabulous Vacation!!

This was our second time staying on Water Island. It was great. So peaceful. The view was breathtaking. We brought our children ages 5 and 1. They had a great time. We spend our days on the beach. Had supper at the house. We had a great time. Very kid friendly. They loved the lizards and turtles that visited every night. There was a constant cool breeze on all sides of the house. The home was clean and well maintained. It was close to the beach and to the dock for the ferry. Jami was very helpful prior to our trip and while we were on our trip also. She helped us find great places to eat while visiting St. John. I would recommend this rental to anyone visiting Water Island. We cannot wait to visit again.

To the crew from Missouri, thank you! Appreciate you choosing Flamingo Point USVI and I sincerely enjoyed responding to your questions both before and during your trip. I have so much fun "seeing" the island through our guests' experience and sharing in the excitement. It is always a pleasure. You'll have to tell me which restaurant suggestion you enjoyed on St. John so that I can recommend to future guests. Especially glad that you found the house clean and well maintained. We work very hard to ensure everything is in good working condition and comfortable. We welcome you and your curious little fun seekers back any time! Ready to go back!

We had a fantastic week in June 2021 at Flamingo Point on Water Island and can't wait to go back! The deck was my favorite part of this home. We spent each morning drinking coffee and each evening just hanging out watching and taking photos of the all the birds including tropicbirds, frigatebirds, pelicans, gulls, herons, and a family of American kestrels that visited each day! The sunsets were gorgeous. The home was spacious with king beds in all the rooms and amazing fans! As we were at the very end of the island, the home is very private and quiet. After 2020 and half of 2021, we were ready to be isolated for a week! There was always a breeze and as a result, no biting insects. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we wanted. The grill was great to have as well. Jami and Kari were quick to respond to any questions we had and have excellent suggestions for getting around the area. Kari gave us a quick (island's not big) tour of where everything of note on Water Island is and how to maneuver the truck. My kids favorite part of our trip was to ride in the back!

Birds of a Feather Flock Together Flamingo Point!

When we arrived, at Flamingo Point everything was just as expected, beautiful, clean and the most fantastic, views from the deck. Their were 6 in our party, we stayed 7 days, enjoyed every aspect of the house and the island. Honeymoon Beach 85 degrees, slight breeze, 80 degree water, the most beautiful color green/blue water, a few sea turtles & beautiful clear & neon fish. We had plans to go to Bingo, Kareoke & Movie night, but it was so peaceful , relaxing & comfortable at Flamingo Point we just stayed at the house, ate, drank & played games, Phase 10 & Mexican Train our favorites. And of course just sitting out on the deck talking about our day & how great it was, and looking at the beautiful sunsets & stars. Beauty in every direction. We did manage to go to Heidi's dinner on the beach, yummy! that night had a fantastic sunset, could not have asked for anything more. Watched all the big boats coming & going, from St. Thomas. Went sailing twice while on the island, one morning sail with snorkling, the other sunset sail. Went on Island Girl, with Capt. Mike. The most gorgeous sunset from the boat, just unbelievable. The views from Flamingo Point deck is just as it shows on the website, fantastic, the stars look so close & the sky unbelievable. Flamingo Point is so peaceful & beautifull & relaxing, we had fantastic vacation! Bill & Mary Lou BIRDS OF A FEATHER! We had t shirts made up with a lg. flamingo with a colorful beach umbrella, frt. says ( BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER AT FLAMINGO POINT!) We had a great time. Beds are really comfy.

If you truly want to get away from it all...

Flamingo Point on Water Island is the perfect place to do it! Let me start by saying that my husband and I had feelings of trepidation about renting a private home as opposed to staying in a hotel. Though we wanted the privacy and the space a house would offer, we didn’t know what to expect in terms of property management. Would the house be clean? Is it really as beautiful as the pictures make it seem? What if some thing goes wrong while we are on an unfamiliar island? Jami and Ron went above and beyond to put our minds at ease. They were willing to answer any questions we had before we decided to choose Flamingo Point for certain or send a deposit. Jami was even kind enough to put me in touch with a couple of repeat guests in order to get another point of view. When I did write the check and send it in the mail I felt confident we had made the right decision. The property manager met us at the dock, helped us load our luggage and then led us to Flamingo Point. Driving on the left side of the road was surely something to get use to but thankfully Water Island is NOT a hustle and bustle place with tons of traffic to contend with. In fact in all our traveling around the island, which really consisted of back and forth to the beach and back and forth to the ferry dock, seeing another car...or golf cart was not that likely of an occurrence. As we drove down the hill and the house came in to sight I could almost immediately sense that it was going to be a great week. Randy, the property manager gave us a quick tour of the house, gave us some simple instructions, answered a couple questions for us and went on his way. The house and the view was more beautiful than a picture could capture. Thanks to all the information Jami gave us beforehand, we had a provisioning service stock the house before we arrived which enabled us to basically drop our stuff and go straight to the beach without worrying what we were going to do for dinner. Our family consisted of three adults and three children and the house was plenty spacious enough for us. The four bedrooms are equally lovely, the only downfall being that one of the four does not have a door to the deck. The kitchen is spacious and open, with essentially everything you would need to prepare a gourmet meal. We of course, did nea

Perfect choice on Water Island

The ocean view from this property cannot be beat. Everyone in our party loved the house and especially loved hanging out on the deck. We had dinner outside every night. Every amenity you could possibly need was included- from Beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, floats, etc to all the kitchen equipment you could ever need. Being that it was July, it was toasty, but the ceiling fans were a huge help. Adding A/C would be the only thing that could possibly make this place better. As is, it’s fantastic. We love Water Island and can’t wait to return!

Thank you for staying at Flamingo Point USVI and for providing feedback! We try our best to ensure our guests have everything they need to feel like this is indeed their home away from home and enjoy their stay. Glad to hear you enjoyed the house, the deck and Water Island. The "Big Ass" Haiku ceiling fans, manufacturered in Paducah, Kentucky, are the best fans bar none for circulating the breezes on The Point. Air conditioning is something we have on our list to consider but we go back and forth about the impact to our mission of keeping costs low and rates affordable for our guests. As they say in the USVI, "Maybe one day, soon come!" You are your crew are welcome back any time! Thanks again!

Breathtaking View

You can not beat the view at Flamingo Point! The use of the Flamingo Warrior truck was so helpful. Jami was great at communicating and sharing helpful tips. The house is WELL stocked! I accidently brought whole coffee beans, and much to my relief they even had a coffee grinder. We really enjoyed watching the sunset every night from the wraparound porch. It was a perfect vacation!

An Island to Ourselves

The location of this home made us feel like we were the only ones on the island. Never heard another vehicle or person. The views are amazing no matter the time of day or weather. The kitchen had every appliance we could have ever needed. The house was very clean from the crisp sheets to the inside of the refrigerator. The shock of no air conditioner was hard to swallow but it did not matter at all. The house stayed nice and cool and full of fresh air. My family enjoyed dinner on the porch many nights and we took full advantage of the outdoor grill. We enjoyed just sitting on the porch and chatting about the day's adventures. I forgot to lay in the hammock, so it looks like me must go back some day. Honeymoon Beach on Water Island was the best beach that we found as far as the fish sandwich and being able to see and swim with sea turtles. Flamingo Point was exactly what we had wished for. The hosts and house manager were helpful when we called upon them. Quick to locate stores on the main island if we needed something so we would be searching all day and provided great information before visiting.

Views that can’t be beat

I love spending time on Water Island. This was my third trip and one of the best yet. This property is truly amazing, with views that can’t be beat. Four spacious bedrooms and a deck to die for. Views from any room in the house. Enjoying sunsets while dining al fresco made for everything a relaxing Island vacation should be. A very helpful home owner and property manager made the experience enjoyable and care free. Five star all around. Would definitely suggest this home to anyone vacationing on Water Island. We can’t wait to come back!

Spectacular

The view was spectacular. The home was fantastic. The ease of access to and from the home was great. The house amenities were top notch. My husband and I spent a week at Flamingo Point with our 3 adult children and their companions. We had the time of our lives together feeling like we were in paradise each day. Fabulous getaway on Water Island

We had been to W.I. two times in the past staying at a friends private home. I was not expecting Flamingo Point to be as nice as it was. What a fabulous week. The house was clean, well appointed, and the little truck got us wherever we wanted to go on the island. We had several gourmet meals prepared in a kitchen equipped like home. What a treat. I highly recommend Flamingo Point for your Water Island vacation.

Flamingo Point is a great getaway!

Flamingo Point is every bit as amazing as the photos and descriptions -- and then some. The property is absolutely stunning with the most incredible water views from the covered wrap-around deck. The home is located on a bluff nearly surrounded by water, so it's quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed seeing pearly-eyed thrashers, magnificent frigatebirds, bananaquit birds, lizards and more on the property. The house is stocked with everything a family needs, including tons of kitchen equipment, plush beach towels, games, movies and generous seating in the living area (three sofas) and on the deck (dining table, low round table, chairs for reading, etc.). There also were more beach chairs, pool noodles and floating chairs than we ever could have used! We also made use out of the grill on the deck. Having the water treated for drinking -- and having water and ice in the refrigerator door -- was great. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer available. The Flamingo Warrior truck was great for getting around the island, especially when we used the four-wheel drive. With a party of five adults, we also rented a golf cart from Rachel to give us flexibility. Jami was SUPERB to work with. She provided ample information about the house and Water Island, including a comprehensive guidebook she emailed us. She responded to emails quickly and answered all of our questions. I've never rented from such a thoughtful, engaged owner. The on-island managers Randy and Kathleen were fantastic. They met us at the ferry dock and got us all set up in the home. It was great to know they were available if we had any issues. (Although we didn't have any!) If you're thinking of visiting Water Island, I highly recommend Flamingo Point.

Most peaceful, relaxing vacation!!

Water Island has moved to the top of my vacation places! The house was everything we expected and exactly how it looked online. It was very clean and cute, loved the decor and wood beams! The owner is one of the NICEST people you will ever meet!! Jamie went above and beyond anyone I have ever rented from. The view on the deck is amazing!! You will love your stay here! We spent a lot of time on Honeymoon beach which is gorgeous!!! Very clean and quiet beach. The food and drinks at Dinghy's were amazing!! On Saturday night do dinner at Heidi's, it was so good! The locals are great, be sure to go see Bijan and Isla at Dinghy's and Casha at Heidi's...best servers! The fish tacos, lionfish and painkiller's were my favorite! Water Island was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had!!! LOVED IT!!!

It just doesn't get any better than this!

Our stay at Flamingo Point was everything we expected and more! The location offered spectacular views and was extremely quiet and private. The accommodations were very comfortable and the deck space plentiful. The house was outfitted with everything you could ever need and the Flamingo Warrior (truck) transported the six of us with no problems. Randy's help was invaluable, especially since our flight was late and we missed the last ferry. He quickly came to the rescue and picked us up at Tickles in St. Thomas. Jami's emails before, during, and after our stay were very entertaining and informative. The Flamingo Point handbook was very well written and spot on. We will definitely be back!

Second Time Just As Good--If Not BETTER

After last year's fantastic experience at Flamingo Point, the eight of us had to come back to get another dose of the fantastic accommodations and weather. We got everything we hoped for and more. This year has been such a pleasant experience AGAIN that we have booked Flamingo Point for a threepeat next January 2016. New living room furniture made watching the Patriot victory over Baltimore more comfortable and the kitchen equipment gave all of us opportunities to do just about anything one could imagine. Jami and Ron have bent over backward to make our journey such a treat. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we certainly look forward to doing the same again and again. The Diomandes Family
