Manatee Cove Apartment Star5Vacations

MANATEE COVE Swim and paddle with the manatees! WATERFRONT attached apartment right on the main Weeki Wachee River -- not a canal! Large balcony, private entrance. This is a very rare 1/2 acre property with 130' of waterfront offering uninterrupted views. The guest suite has about 1200 square feet under cover including the 300 sq. foot balcony. Charming second story suite with a full kitchen and a wonderful river panorama. Laundry in lower area. The water from the Weeki Wachee magnitude one spring is lovely and clean and stays at 72 to 74 year round. While most of the manatees are in the river from December to April guests spotted at least one almost every day in the summer. The water is shallow and sandy immediately in front of the house so it is safe for kids. You can wade in directly from the dock and play on a large sandbar. One bedroom has a queen bed the other a double. Eating areas on the balcony or inside. Nearby are excellent hiking trails if you want to take a break from the water. Kayaks provided (3 singles, 1 junior, kayaks my vary. Rentals available nearby). Towels provided. All bedding is brand new. There is also a fenced yard to enjoy and plenty of parking( which is shared with the adjoining unit) with a gate for security. Fishing charters, kayak rentals and boat rentals nearby. Also lots of restaurants from fish fry chow down to finer dining. The BBQ and fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes and the kitchen has everything you need to cook in your Manatee Cove vacation home.



Other things to note:

LATE CHECK-OUTS & EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM. Door codes do not activate until set check-in time. Early access will not be provided without prior approval. Guests who check-in early or checkout past checkout time will charged the additional fee of $50/hr.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT: A damage deposit of $100 is required at time of booking. This is collected by credit card. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.

SECURITY CAMERA: There is a security camera facing the driveway that will be on during your stay. Any pets or extra guests seen on property is subject to a charge.

Great location

We loved the location and having kayaks at the house to use. The porch was the perfect place to relax with the family and watch for manatees. We will never forget this vacation!

Wonderful getaway!

My husband, myself, and our child spent 5 nights at Manatee Cove and had the MOST relaxing time ever! The property was clean, quiet, and all around amazing. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Fantastic place on the River

We loved our stay. Everything was perfect. Great paddleboarding during the day and a campfire at night. So relaxing! We cant wait to return.

Paradise at your back door!

Clean, comfortable, safe property. Wonderful outdoor seating area and kayaks available for use on the river. Well stocked with clean linens, dishes, etc. Easy check-in and out. Looking forward to a return trip.

We loved it. Would love to go back. Actually had dolphins swim by in the river. Only issues was no spare toliet paper and bathroom door needs replained (hard to close.) That being said, we love Manatee Cove.

Perfect location

We had an amazing time staying on the river. The condo was the perfect size for our family of three and getting up and paddling out first thing in the morning before anyone else was priceless. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend getaway. I look forward to booking the property again.

We paddled every day! This is a lovely location-- upstairs apartment with great screened in deck, access to kayaks and easy to get right on the river.

Fantastic stay on the Weeki Wachee!

Nothing but good things to say about this stay! Property was super clean and cute. You are the upstairs to another larger rental downstairs but all the outdoor areas are separate and it's surprisingly private. You are directly on the river at a great location. We saw manatees every day! The couple of minor issues we had were resolved almost immediately...communication was excellent with the property managers. We'll be back!

Magical Stay

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Manatee Cove and would highly recommend it to anyone. You have your own private doc and yard, kayaks at your disposal and you cannot beat it's location. The water was beautiful, we enjoyed seeing all the manatees swim by and wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely will be back, it's truly a gem.

We went kayaking & floating. We greatly enjoyed watching from the sceen in porch. We always loved the shot dive to Saint Pete. Loved our week.

Absolutely gorgeous

Perfection

This rental property is right on the magical Weeki Wachee River and has a private dock with steps going right down in the water making it easy to use the kayaks that are provided. The unit has a wonderful screened in deck where we stayed much of the time to enjoy the view of the river. The beds are super comfortable, and the entire apartment is roomy and comfy. The property is very private, and it is perfect for us. This is our second stay here, and we plan to come back several more times!

Nice getaway

We had a great time. The property was nice. It did appear upon checking in, that the tub had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, but that was a minor detail. Overall, it was what we expected. Nice to be right on the river!

Perfect getaway

Property was great! Two bedroom/1 bath was the perfect amount of space for hubby and me. We kayaked one day and rented a pontoon on another. Will be back to stay at the main house with daughter and grandson. Clean apartment on second floor with appropriate amenities. Privacy was acceptable between the apartment and main house. The river is gorgeous. We came a little late for prime manatee season but now we know better. Thank you for the peace and serenity of Manatee Cove.

Alison and David were very gracious and helpful hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and supplied a ton of valuable information on local attractions and restaurants, etc. The location on the Weeki Wachee River was magical. We could kayak the crystal clear waters at any time directly from the backyard. We often saw manatees, herons and other wildlife. There are so many cool things to do in the immediate vicinity such as beaches, biking, shopping, etc. A great place to unwind and have some fun.

Magical

Our stay at Manatee Cove truly was magical. The property is right on the river which is gorgeous especially when viewed from the amazing screened in deck. We stayed on the deck most of the time we were at the home. I had never been in a kayak, but since they were supplied I thought I would try it. Now I’m totally hooked! There are a variety of types which is nice, and we really enjoyed using them. The apartment is beautifully appointed, super clean, and roomy. The furniture is actually comfortable, and the owners have done a really good job with landscaping so the home feels very private. The hosts were super helpful, and we have already booked the same place for a trip in May!Oh - and - we saw a total of 12 manatees and 2 river otters!

We had a wonderful week at Manatee Cove. The water is awesome and cold. The house was great, we just needed a few more things for cooking, and just an FYI there are ants in the kitchen you can’t leave anything on the counters. Everyone the floated buy the house was very nice. The man next door working in the yard decided to come swim in his underwear, that was a little shocking to see an older man drunk and swimming in his white underwear while we are trying to sunbath on our dock. Very unsettling. But I would definitely rent again. Loved this house and location. Thank you again to the owners for such a beautiful place.

Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved this property. The 2nd floor screened in porch made the evenings so enjoyable to be outside without the bugs eating us. The view of the river was incredible, we saw many manatee floating by. The kayaks available to use were such a perk. We had a blast floating and paddling on the river. The weekend was pretty busy on the water but Monday we had it all to ourselves. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It had all the things we could have needed. Such a bonus to have access to a washer and dryer as well. Owner communication was prompt and pleasant. The lower half of the home was also being rented out and we did not hear any noise between them and us. Plenty of restaurants in town (about a 5 minute drive). We loved the Breakfast Station!
