Yndig privatejede, specialbyggede bjælkehytte har 1,400+ kvadratfod og er beliggende på 3 skovklædte, afsondret acres, men er kun 15 minutter fra maleriske historiske downtowns i North Carolina, Tennessee og Georgien, herunder Blue Ridge. Optagelse på en specialbygget rampe (kørestol og el-kørestol tilgængelige), åbner døren ind i et stort stort værelse med katedral loft. Det fuldt udstyret køkken - mikroovn, komfur / ovn, køleskab / fryser, opvaskemaskine og panini grill - har en bondegård bord med plads til 6. Den stue, komplet med loft fan, er indrettet med en stor sofa og overdimensionerede stol og 48 "fladskærms-HDTV med satellit-tjeneste, DVR, DVD og vægmonteret stereo højttalersystem. Det åbner på en overdækket veranda, der løber langs kabinen og køles af 3 loftet fans hjælper bjerget brise; et perfekt sted at nyde de rolige skoven mens hvile i Amish-udformet rockere. Over stuen er en hems indrettet med matchende twin senge, natbord og kommode. Det store soveværelse, møbleret med antikviteter, original kunst og en queen-size jern seng, har adgang til de screenede del af veranda gennem dejlige franske døre, udstyret med justerbare nuancer til privatlivets fred. Badeværelset er udstyret med et handicap bruser med aftagelig brusehoved, sæde og rækværk. Alle døråbninger i stueetagen er 36 'bred. Den ene side af møblerede kælderen har en fuld-størrelse, regulering poolbord, airhockey bord og to counter-højde stole. Den anden side har en queen-size Murphy seng, 37-tommer HDTV med indbygget DVD-afspiller og satellit og DVR tjeneste samt en fuld bad.

Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Loved the walk to the creek! Our dogs enjoyed being able to run around and play in the fenced in area. We had fun playing pool, watching movies, playing board games and going to downtown Blue Ridge (3 Sisters Fudge) and Mercier Orchard. We also enjoyed making smores in the fire pit!

This was our second time staying here, and again it was great. Clean, secluded, great communication from Mrs. Joyce, beautiful views and walking trails. No complaints at all! The handicap amenities worked out great for the mother in law that hasnt been able to visit the mountains for a while. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone!

Joyce was very friendly and quick to respond to messages. The cabin was very clean, nice, and just right for our group. The creek is a very long hike down and very strenuous hike back up, but we did it! This was my first time using VRBO to rent a place and Joyce made the experience great!

Cabin was nestled in the woods at end of a road - perfect for our long weekend. Enjoyed the short hoke diwn and back to the stream behind the property. Liked that it was pet friendly and the cabin well laid out with sleeping accommodations on three levels.

Nice Property, Dated House

The property and location and hike to creek on property was excellent. The house, furnishings, amenities were just average and somewhat dated. Check in process was easy and good communication with owner.

This property is amazing! I cannot be around chemicals or any type of tobacco smoke because of migraines. This property is TRULY secluded- and gorgeous in every way! Joyce was willing to help us, although everything was set up so well we didn’t need to give her a call. But we wouldn’t have hesitated to reach out. Besides being gorgeous, we loved the short hike to the creek (it was a good one for us Floridians who needed to use leg muscles we didn’t know we had!!) the picnic table was great, we took some fun pictures and enjoyed the pool table and Yahtzee! Our teens had a blast - loved the downstairs and the loft! So fun! Our daughter had online exams and was able to do her studies downstairs without distraction and she had no problems with the WiFi. A binder is available with fun activities and a map! The porch! My favorite place in the world! You just have to see it to understand the peace and tranquility waiting there for you. Everything was clean and cozy, we felt right at home. All the “things” are there. Extra TP if needed, towels, hair dryer, washer & dryer, coffee maker- it even has a fancy side for those who make bougie coffees. This cabin is a must see! If we stay in this area again (which we hope to!) there will be no hesitation - we’ll be coming back here! :)Thank you!!

Last minute vacation

Over all the family enjoyed the cabin and facilities. It was relaxing and comfortable. We would definitely consider this facility again in the future.

Last minute getaway to unplug before school and this place hit the mark! Kids loved playing pole and in creek. It is a bit of a hike uphill on way back from creek but great exercise!

Great little cabin in the woods!

We have a fantastic stay! The kids loved the creek, sitting by the fire and making s’mores and playing pool on the pool table. The cabin is great, had everything we needed! Just be sure to bring charcoal for the grill if you’re planning on grilling anything.

Perfect Remote Place

We enjoyed our stay and when back in the Mineral Bluff area, will stay again. My grandchildren especially enjoyed hiking to the creek. The house was beautifully furnished, clean and quiet.

Anniversary Vacation

We had an amazing time. It is very secluded and peaceful. It is an absolute beautiful cabin and property. As long as this location is available this will definitely be our vacation home away from home. Thank you again so very much for sharing you home with us. See you again next year!

Fast and fun

Perfect little getaway

We loved our stay at this cabin. The first floor was completely wheelchair accessible, even onto the balcony, which was great for my step-father. The cabin was clean and well stocked with anything needed for cooking. The back yard is fenced in for fur babies. The location is very quiet and peaceful, and the view from the balcony is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Unusual circumstance

We ended up staying at a different cabin altogether. That's why this review isn't totally accurate. I will say that the owner of this cabin, the one we were supposed to stay at, was exceptional. There was a problem with her cabin where no one could stay and she found another one very close and took care of the booking for it.

Stunning!!

Pics do not do this cabin justice! It is beautiful! Very spacious, great location and had plenty of ammenities. Larry and Joyce answered any questions promptly. Only negative is the number of beds is incorrect. The listing states bedroom two has two beds. A queen and double murphy bed but it only has the murphy bed. Wasn't a big deal though as there was plenty of room for all our guests. Would definitrly recommend and stay here again.

The Best!!!!

I’ve stayed at many beautiful vacation homes. And this one ranks right up there. But what separates a home & the experience is the host. Joyce was the nicest, most accommodating host ever! She offered for us to come a day early due to an impending snow storm. She knew we had our handicapped mother with us. To have an accessible cabin is rare & Joyce was just so concerned about our safety. I cannot say enough nice things about the cabin! The beds weee super comfy! The Murphy bed was amazing! The dogs loved playing in the snow in the fenced yard. And the views were just breathtaking. Go visit Joyce and the Little Cabin in the Woods. You won’t regret it. We can’t wait until we come back!

Cabin owner Larry Dumas, a retired Navy Chief and Orange Park FL firefighter, volunteers with the Benton-MacKaye Trail Association and is an avid hiker on both the Benton-MacKaye and the Appalachian Trail. He knows all the area's best hiking trails and other local information.

We built this cabin in the woods to be both away from the hustle and bustle of city life and near all the things we love to do including hiking, horseback riding, nature photography and just enjoying the great outdoors.
