Sea of Kureosity (pronounced “Curiosity”) is a family-friendly home located at the southern end of Kure (pronounced CURE-ee) Beach between Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher, away from the hustle and bustle of the north end. It is a newly-renovated duplex (you will be renting Unit A) and an easy 5-minute walk to Avenue F Public Beach Access. The Coastal-inspired decor will instantly put your beach soul at ease.

When you and your guests arrive, head straight to the house! With a convenient keyless entry system, there's no need to check in off-site. Just come on in!

Pack the cooler, grab some beach chairs and toys from the storage unit, load them into the wagon and head down to the beach. Just beyond the wooden boardwalk, your toes will soon be on the white, sandy beach and then in the blue waters of the Atlantic. Due to its location, it is less crowded during the peak season.

Once you’re done on the beach, escape to the backyard oasis! Fire up the grill and gather your family and friends for a cookout. You’ll find there’s plenty of seating around the custom-built picnic table for all of the house guests. Catch the game or showcase photos on the 55” 4K SmartTV and relax under the 3 overhead fans. If you prefer to eat inside, gather around the large table with seating for eight; we even have a high chair for the littlest one. Prepare to make memories!

The entertainment center is stocked with a large variety of games for every age.

Just off the living room, you can head out to the screened-in deck and listen to the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore: rock your cares away in one of the rocking chairs as ocean breeze hits your face and the smell of the ocean fills your soul.

Off the primary bedroom is another deck with ocean views. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee or a nightcap in one of the high-top, Adirondack chairs. Since the house isn't in the busier part of the island, you can grab that book you've wanted to read and head out on the deck; or, grab a book or magazine from the living room.

When you’re ready to retire for the night, you’ll find this home is just what you need to relax and rejuvenate for the coming day. The premium linens are professionally laundered and beds made prior to your arrival; so, no need to worry about making beds once you’re ready to catch some Zzzz’s on the brand new, hybrid mattresses.

It's time to see what all the island has to offer and you will soon find that the white, sandy beach isn’t the only attraction. While spring and summer temps average about 82 degrees, our fall and winter temps average about 67 degrees (weather.com) making it a great vacation spot any time of year!

While you’re here:

Visit the oldest pier on the East Coast, Kure Beach Fishing Pier, where you can shop, fish directly from the pier, get a sea gull’s eye view of the majestic Atlantic Ocean, or relax on one of the swings or benches. While you’re there, grab a specialty coffee at our favorite coffee shop, Happy Hippies Java Hut and enjoy the Kure Beach Ocean Front Park & Pavilion

Get face to face with a variety of sea life, including sharks, rays, sea turtles, and a variety of fish at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher

Immerse yourself in history at the Fort Fisher Civil War Museum and Historic Site, a former stronghold during the Civil War

While you're at For Fisher, take a Ferry Ride and enjoy the exquisite views and smell let the fresh air fill your soul!

Bike, hike and play at Carolina Beach State Park

Go kayaking in the Intracoastal Waterway

Play a round of golf at the Kure Beach Golf Course

Take the kids to nearby Joe Eakes Park where there is so much to do! The park includes a children's playground, a picnic area, a full basketball court, a regulation baseball field, two bocce ball courts, two tennis courts with a practice backboard, five pickleball courts (lines painted on the basketball and tennis courts), and an 18-hole disc golf course. Picnic tables and benches are also placed around the playground, making it a great place to relax with family and friends. All of these facilities are on a first come, first serve basis, so you'll want to plan accordingly. Don’t forget your four-legged family members! Gurney Hood Barking Lot (Dog Park) is part of the Joe Eakes Park and is the only public area in Kure Beach where you can let your dog off its leash to romp and play!

Visit the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and its many restaurants, shops, and the Carolina Beach Arcade! While you’re there, you have to stop by the famous Britt’s Donuts!

During the spring and summer months, Carolina Beach has a Farmer's Market at the lake.

With all there is to do, you’ll never need to leave! But, if you want to see what’s beyond the island:

Board the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA, the most highly decorated American battleship of World War II.

For you train enthusiasts, visit the Wilmington Railroad Museum where you can climb aboard a real life-size caboose and 100-year-old steam locomotive and learn all about the history of Wilmington’s railroad system and the men and women who worked it.

Take a riverboat tour on one of the Cape Fear Riverboats

Make your way to UNC-Wilmington Campus, home of the Seahawks and catch a game!
