Relax and unwind amidst a historic home, just 5 minute's walk to Shaw-Howard Univ Metro, and a 4-block walk to the Howard University Hospital. Sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably with plenty of space to spread out! Compact and Full-Size car parking space at the rear entrance!

**Minimum 2 Nights Stay**

The home has 15+ foot ceilings in the living, dining, and master bedroom.
Guests can access the main and 2nd levels.

Other things to note:
Please read these carefully to prevent any awkward hosts/guest situations as the rules below are strictly enforced, especially in regards to parties and events.

*There is a home security camera system on the exterior of the home that covers all door entrances to the property. They are in plain sight.

**Absolutely NO parties or events where outside guests are allowed. This is NOT a party house and is only for the guests that are staying at the rental.

*** 10 PM quiet hours when outdoors. Signs are posted as a reminder. This means no music/entertainment and keeping voices down. This reduces interruption to the neighbors.

****NO SMOKING/VAPING INDOORS, FRONT PORCH OR REAR DECKS. Smoking is allowed in the rear alley-way/25 feet from ALL entrances

******Please put all trash in the bins in the front and DO NOT leave it on the decks.

********Please be careful when moving your luggage around so as not to scuff up the walls

We had a wonderful time. Great location easy to get around and enjoyed a few of the local restaurants. Would stay there again without hesitation. Thr host was very responsive to all my questions and sent us an end of the stay greeting.

Wonderful spot! Great places to eat right across the street. Parking spot was a huge plus, just rent a smaller car if you need to use it! DC parking is tight. Would totally stay here again.

Victorian era rowhouse with modern updates. This was perfect for what we needed, which was a comfy place to relax after sightseeing all day. Our daughter loved the book nook reading area and foosball table. We did park a large SUV (GMC Acadia) in the parking spot. It was a challenge, so definitely don't plan to park anything bigger. Easy access to the Metro meant we didn't need to move the vehicle after we parked. The check-in info was really clear and the host was very responsive to the communication we did have.

Our stay was wonderful. The place is super close to the metro, which takes you to all the things you’d want to see in DC. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The host was extremely responsive and allowed us to check in a little early. I’d definitely stay here again.

Our stay was wonderful! Our host was very responsive with questions and tips to make navigating the area easier and helped accommodate a later departure since our flight didn’t leave until evening. Nearby restaurants were great, and there was a CVS nearby where we grabbed drinks and snacks for our stay. Metro access was easy and we felt safe on our walk back even arriving after dark. Bedrooms and living space were very spacious and comfortable. Though we didn’t cook, the kitchen was well-equipped. This place would easily accommodate 6 people with space for more if you had a playpen or air mattresses. Would highly recommend for families!! The only minor inconvenience was that the hot water never really got hot for our preferred shower temperature and the water pressure was pretty low. None of that really affected the enjoyment of our stay!

Great house and location

We had a wonderful time in DC. The house was great and had all of the amenities we needed and wanted. We were a block and a half from the Metro, making it easy to get around.

House is fully furnished and up to code on everything. Remus docked us a star because water spots developed after Flooding like weather affected the entire city. Not once did these cause any issues for the guests and their stay, besides wanting to notify the owner of all their perceived faults with the property.

House was nice and clean and convenient to the Metro. Which was a huge perk. Parking was a little tricky to figure out at first but once we got it figured out it was fine. Enough room for our family of 5.

Perfect place!

Just the right place for our trip to DC with friends. We loved the space for us to hang out in the evenings. The kitchen was perfect for meal prep. And the set up in the bedrooms was just right. Very spacious and all the things you would need. Location was perfect as well. We wouldn’t hesitate in booking it again.

Very nice place and great location. Just a couple blocks from the green line which takes you directly to most sight seeing you would want. Parking was a little tricky, but great to have if you have a vehicle. Had one issue, but the host got back to us immediately and we were good to go quickly. That comment is just to show how good the communication was, nothing the host could have done about the initial issue. But, the speedy resolution. Neighborhood was cute with a nice bar/restaurant directly across the street and a couple other food/drinks spots within blocks. We would stay again, without question.

The Perfect Stay

We had a great time at this location! The neighborhood is cute and vibrant. (It is in a city still, so there is traffic and other noise, but we expected this). The space itself was so cute and very clean. It had everything we needed. Xavion was a phenomenal host and responded to each of of my messages so quickly. When we return to visit DC I absolutely plan on staying here again! Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Great spot!

Great spot for our family of 4 on our visit to DC. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, decent variety of kitchen supplies to make meals and plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Five minute walk to the Shaw-Howard metro stop and a handful of restaurants within walking distance. The neighborhood behind the unit is nice but the house sits on a noisy main street. The 2 bed bedroom is in the back, minimizing any issues for the younger travelers. Great spot to serve as our base for our trip, definitely would recommend. Communication with the owner was great.

Good location to get to sights and restaurants

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean with plenty space for the 4 of us.Amenities were plentiful, we did not cook during our stay but we noticed if we were, the kitchen was well stocked!The metro was within walking distance and if you did not care to walk, good restaurants were near.Plenty towels and beds were comfortable.It could be a little noisy late nights but you are in the city. Did not disturb our sleeping.If you enjoy looking at architecture, there’s an eye full.It was a pleasant stay … we would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in this townhouse near Howard Universityand to the one of gay districts. The moment we opened the door we realized we had made a good choice. The transformation of this historic home into a modern place was amazing. The open spaces and beautiful kitchen made for the perfect place to rest after visiting the sites. The metro, restaurants, whole foods and nice places to stroll are all nearby. We were able to travel most places using transit. Note that the home is on a busy street that is sometimes noisy. The back of the house is quiet however.

Family trip to DC

Pros- The inside of the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was a short walk to the metro station, there was a nice restaurant right across the street, when I messaged the owner they responded quickly. Cons- The parking space in the alley behind the house was, as my kids would say “sketch”. When we arrived the house next door was doing renovations and a large truck was blocking the way. My husband had to get out of the car and find someone and ask them to move. The day we left there was definitely a homeless man hanging out back. We didn’t know there was a basement apartment and on our last evening the house alarm system said several times “Basement door open. Basement door closed”. The night before, we were watching a movie and a police officer knocked on the door to ask if we’d called about a break in. It scared us a bit. Maybe it’s because it’s a city, or because it’s by the hospital, or both, but cop cars and ambulances are constantly driving by with sirens blaring.And minor things; fridge water didn’t work, they offered coffee pods but no sugar, they had minimum cooking utensils. Overall, it wasn’t a bad place to stay just make sure you get the alarm system working, plan to buy some of the basics, and bring sound machines.

Thank you for staying with us. I hope you enjoyed your time at our home, and we appreciate your review. In response to your list of cons, we inform all of our guests about the alleyway entrance to access the parking spot for our house in the check-in instructions. We have no control over who enters and exits the alleyway, nor do we control when/what our neighbors are doing in terms of renovations to their respective properties. I'm happy to hear that once your husband asked, our neighbors obliged and moved their vehicle for your convenience. Yes, our home has an upstairs and basement unit that allows us to house multiple guests, both with separate entrances and exits, and due to our lack of control, we have an alarm system that is put in place to keep all of our guests safe during their time staying with us. From our records, no reported alarms went off during your stay, so it's likely the police approached the wrong house, but thankfully, DC police respond when it's a non-emergency. Regarding the ambulances and sirens, our home is located on a busy street in the city (hence the alleyway access) and directly behind a hospital. Yes, the fridge water doesn't work, apologies for that. The requested sugar for the complimentary coffee is located in the front of the tea and hot chocolate holder, directly next to the coffee. We have full sets of cooking utensils available to our guests, from plates, cups, bowls, pots, pans, forks, knives, spoons, you name it, it's available.

House was orderly and neat. Kitchen had plenty of cookware and utensils. Host was very communicative before and during the stay. It was a nice home away from home for a few days while we vacationed in DC. Handy to have laundry onsite as well! We used Uber to travel while in town. We ate in a few nights and ordered in as well. There was a great foosball table that the kids…and young at heart enjoyed. Lots of kids books and a few games to spend time together. Enjoy your stay!
