Vacation in the Heart of Ogunquit

280 Main is a five bedroom, five and a half bath New Englander style home located in the heart of Ogunquit Village. The stylish vintage charm of this home is mixed wonderfully with the modern upgrades and offers a perfect home for families to vacation together and truly unwind. The residence features wonderful spaces to gather and entertain, including a spacious family room, living room, dining room and a third level sitting area with wet bar and walk-out access to the upper deck - boasting village and ocean views and outfitted with comfortable couches and a dining space. Each guest room is unique in personality and all feature hardwood flooring, updated en-suite baths and village views. Vacationing in the popular oceanside community of Ogunquit, you'll enjoy shopping, fantastic coast dining, and the white sandy beaches of famed Ogunquit Beach - all just outside the door!

Additionally, the home includes A/C units throughout, WiFi, fully stocked kitchen, and all bed linens and bath towels. Beach towels provided! Bring your own beach chairs/cart/umbrella if desired!

Small/Medium dog allowed with approval and agreement of terms. Penalties will apply if a pet is brought without approval and agreement.

The location is unbeatable! Walkable from beach, shopping and restaurants. Fast response from property manager when needed. 5 queen bedrooms, all with attached full bathrooms and window a/c units (some are a bit loud). Multiple spaces for gathering, watching TV. House is on a main street with slow traffic during busy summer days. Street noise was tolerable except for occasional loud motorcycles or trucks. Rear roof deck has a little view of Main St. and can be sunny. Ground level outdoor area is paved and has a grill, table and outdoor sofa, surrounded on 3 sides by buildings and open side is along neighbor's driveway. No other real outdoor space or yard to speak of. We stayed for a week in August and it worked well for our family.

Great property that needs to focus on the details.

I recently stayed at this property and overall, I really liked the place; however, cleanliness was an issue. The gas grill had mold growing on it, the kitchen floors were dirty, and everything needed a wipe down. All of these issues could have been corrected within an hour. I would have rated this property a 5 if these issues were not there. That being said, this property is all about the great location. It's centrally located to town, beaches, and restaurants, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Note to the owners: Please don't let the Property Manager inform the guest that she will be on vacation during their stay without providing a point of contact for the guest. It would be much better to have someone available to address any issues that may arise.

We take great pride in the homes we offer and strive to give our guests only the best experience. The only issue you brought to my attention was the grill and that was fully resolved within 3 hours of your notifying me. If the other issues were discussed, of course they would have been promptly taken care of as well. I only wish I had the opportunity to do so, as I was never unavailable. A note from the owners: As owners, we always appreciate feedback from our guests. Having been our first guest of the season, we truly apologize for any issues with the property. Our property manager was available throughout your stay, so apologies if there was any confusion. We take great pride in our properties and we do appreciate your positive comments as well. The location is one of the best in town as we hear consistently and we focused on making sure the house was decorated with taste and a coastal, comfortable theme. Overall, we are glad you were able to enjoy the location and the house.

Family vacation

Please keep in mind that that this our first Vrbo experience . Communication with the rental manager was good, but the messages were quick to assume we had done something wrong. These issues involved parking and check out. The house was lovely with a very well stocked kitchen. Beach towels were provided which was a nice touch. The downstairs shower had a bad smell but one of our family members realized that the shower simply needed to be run. We did that and the stink was resolved. Shouldn’t that have been done ahead of time? The decks were not as they seemed. The “deck” close to the kitchen was a former parking space made over with bbq, furniture and an outdoor carpet. The second floor deck was reached through a converted window and the single step up was homemade and its safety was questionable. The third floor was reached by going through the house and using an incredibly narrow depth, steep staircase. Alternately there was an exterior staircase which was good and safer. Keys were not available to lock the third floor apartment.

The patios and decks are shown exactly as they are in the photographs and have been well loved by our summer guests. The old home has quite a lot of character, and I can assure you, it is very safe. You can’t beat the location of this house! Our 3 families - total of 10 people including tween and teenaged kids - had such a fun week in Ogunquit. The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for cooking for our crew. And we loved the plentiful, big beach towels. It’s an easy walk to the beach and an easier walk to shops and restaurants.

Absolutely perfect location. Although on Main St we didn’t find noise to be bothersome. Host/owners responded immediately to communication- replaced an AC unit within 24 hours. Cleanliness was fair, some areas could use more attention.
