Wonderful for our family of five including our elderly mother. Getting to the beach with an accessible wheelchair was very easy. The complimentary chairs and umbrella were so nice. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. Thank you for a very accommodating condo with great beach views and access.

We rented the condo basically just to sleep. Never eat or cook a meal in it. We stay mainly at our family house both nights until 11pm or 1 am . For them to rate us terribly is crazy! Shouldn’t even be trash cause no one was barely there . All day we never stay at the condo basically just to sleep for 4-5 hours per night .

Pretty view, but be aware of beach chair situation

The condo was nice. The view was lovely. However, the condo did not meet our expectations. For context: We come down to Okaloosa Island twice a year during the summer with our kids. We have been coming to Okaloosa island for 4 years. Each time we stay in a different condo. Each condo we have stayed at provides 2 chairs/1 umbrella for our stay. This was also provided during our stay at Island Princess. However, the beach chairs/umbrella that were included with the rental of this condo was in the second row of chairs/umbrellas. Every other condo we stayed at, we always had front row chairs/umbrella. The reason why this is important to us is because we have three young children would like to sit in a beach chair closer to the ocean to keep an eye on them. The chairs/umbrella provided by this unit were at least 20-30 feet away from the water which was too far for us to feel safe monitoring our kids. We verified with the chair attendant that the second row was the only place we could use the chairs. We could have paid $15/day to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella. We could have afforded it, but our expectation was we should have been allowed to have chairs in the first row. Instead, we just sat in the sand with all of our beach stuff so our children could safely enjoy the water. The condo was OK, but because this is the first condo we stayed that did not have adequate access to beach chairs, we will not be staying here again.

Nice place

The unit was clean and beds were very comfortable. Nice corner view. One problem was the elevator on the building. We arrived about five on Sunday, by afternoon Monday it no longer worked. When I asked Salt Water Vacations about getting it fixed, they said “unfortunately we are independent of the IP HOA and not able to control these types of building or complex maintenance.” We were on the fourth floor. The elevator wasn’t fixed until Friday evening.

Nice location but well used

The overall description of property was accurate. However the general appearance was that of an older, well used condo. A deep clean and updating is in need. There were numerous small repairs needed, ie door tracks, knobs missing, veneer chips, broken lamps, etc. one of the biggest disappointments was the inability to watch the Razorback vs Texas game I the living room. Only one out of the four TVs were operating. Something to do with the signal. The only TV working was in the master bedroom and it seemed to just be the local cable service. We had called Salt Water Service and they sent out a maintenance man who could not help. Never heard back from him or owner as we sought help prior to the game. Oh well.

Family time!

The condo was beautiful. We had plenty of room for us all. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the waves and sitting in the back alcove when it was raining. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and pots and pans.

Repairs needed!

The condo needs repairs: door off the hinges to the washer and dryer, none of the 3 showers drained very well, light bulbs missing or burned out, garbage disposal stopped up, handle on door to balcony missing making it difficult to open the door, front door would not close until husband made a repair. This is just a few issues that we encountered. The stay for 4 nights was 2200.00. When we talked to the manager on site, she refunded us 153.00 for the issues. Take your chances if you stay here!

June 2018 Stay

Luved the local; easy ride up / down elevators, convenient parking. Luved 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Luved views from the nice sized balcony. What we appreciate more that was unexpected was the front door patio to store beach gear and such. It is behind a closed gate and allows room for towel drying and sandy shoes too. favorite thing overall. Building is dated and worn but may be due to weather conditions. was clean. our room was barely ok clean wise. Decor is very outdated but quality items still in good shape. desperate need of deep clean; especially deep window ledges where your head rests. Also found little junk stuff all over carpets too. kinda weird. kitchen desperately needs skillets that are not burned and able to be cleaned. The local and front patio made up for everything. definitely worth it. now spoiled by just those two little perks. cannot wait to go again. now appear as we paid double rate of others due to holiday too. still loved it.

The condo location was great! We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the morning and enjoyed our coffee! The beach staff was friendly and very helpful! The unit was very clean and beds were comfortable. We would stay in this unit again!

We absolutely loved the condo! It was very nice and clean when we arrived. The gated patio going to the front door was also very nice as we have young children and could keep all of our beach stuff out of the condo so we didn’t get sand everywhere. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back!
