I’m based in metro Atlanta, but Harbor Island has completely stolen my heart. It’s the place I go to recharge — to slow down and breathe a little deeper. There’s nothing better than cooking a simple meal of fresh, Lowcountry seafood in the kitchen, cozying up with a blanket and a good book, or just listening to the sound of the waves crashing in the distance. My favorite part of the day? Morning walks to watch the sunrise over the water. It’s quiet, peaceful, and something I never take for granted.
Being able to share this little slice of the South Carolina coast with others is one of the things I love most about hosting. Harbor Island still feels like a hidden gem — a place that hasn’t been overrun by tourists, where the natural beauty is untouched and the pace of life slows to something more meaningful. Whether you're coming for a special occasion or just need a break from the busyness of everyday life, it brings me so much joy to help people discover this place. Instead, you get miles of uncrowded beach, winding trails, tidal creeks perfect for crabbing, and some of the best birdwatching in the region. The island is part of a protected estuary, so it’s common to spot dolphins offshore and herons stalking the marsh grasses.
